1Progress in ENSO prediction and predictability study显示文摘ENSO is the strongest interannual signal in the global climate system with worldwide climatic, ecological and societal impacts. Over the past decades, the research about ENSO prediction and predictability has attracted broad attention. With the development of coupled models, the improvement in initialization schemes and the progress in theoretical studies, ENSO has become the most predictable climate mode at the time scales from months to seasons. This paper reviews in detail the progress in ENSO predictions and predictability studies achieved in recent years. An emphasis is placed on two fundamental issues: the improvement in practical prediction skills and progress in the theoretical study of the intrinsic predictability limit. 2Design and Implementation of a TDD-Based 128-Antenna Massive MIMO Prototype System显示文摘Owing to the dramatic mobile IP growth,the emerging Internet of Things,and cloud-based applications,wireless networking is witnessing a paradigm shift.By fully exploiting spatial degrees of freedom,massive multiple-input-multiple-output(MIMO) systems promise significant gains in data rates and link reliability.Although the research community has recognized the theoretical benefits of these systems,building the hardware of such complex systems is a challenge in practice.This paper presents a time division duplex(TDD)-based 128-antenna massive MIMO prototype system from theory to reality.First,an analytical signal model is provided to facilitate the setup of a feasible massive MIMO prototype system.Second,a link-level simulation consistent with practical TDDbased massive MIMO systems is conducted to guide and validate the massive MIMO system design.We design and implement the TDDbased 128-antenna massive MIMO prototype system with the guidelines obtained from the link-level simulation.Uplink real-time video transmission and downlink data transmission under the configuration of multiple single-antenna users are achieved.Comparisons withstate-of-the-art prototypes demonstrate the advantages of the proposed system in terms of antenna number,bandwidth,latency,and throughput.The proposed system is also equipped with scalability,which makes the system applicable to a wide range of massive scenarios.Xi Yang Wenjun Lu Ning Wang Karl Nieman Chao-Kai Wen Chuan Zhang Shi Jin Xiaomin Mu Ian Wong Yongming Huang Xiaohu You 2017China Communications2017,14,12:3
3High electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution activity on a coupled Ru and CoO hybrid electrocatalyst显示文摘Hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is an essential step in converting renewable energy to clean hydrogen fuel. Exploring highly efficient, stable and cost-effective electrocatalysts is of crucial significance for sustainable HER. Here, we report the design of a coupled ruthenium/cobalt oxide (Ru/CoO) hybrid electrocatalyst for alkaline HER. In this hybrid metal/oxide system, the complicated alkaline HER pathways are overall facilitated;oxygen (O)-vacancy-abundant oxide enhances water splitting and Ru promotes successive hydrogen intermediates to generate hydrogen. The resulting Ru/CoO hybrid electrocatalyst exhibits significantly promoted catalytic activity compared with benchmark Ru catalyst, displaying an overpotential of 55 mV to generate a HER current density of 10 mA cm^-2, comparable with the state-of-the-art Pt/C catalyst and the most efficient alkaline HER electrocatalysts. Furthermore, the strong interaction of Ru nanoparticles with oxide support and the in-situ growth of oxide support on conductive substrate guarantee the long-term stability of as-fabricated Ru/CoO hybrid electrocatalyst. 9Efficacy of prenatal diagnosis of major congenital heart disease on perinatal management and perioperative mortality: a meta-analysis显示文摘Background:There is no consensus on the effectiveness of prenatal diagnosis except for hospitalized outcomes.Hence,a meta-analysis of published literature was conducted to assess the effect of prenatal diagnosis.Methods:Literature review has identified relevant studies up to December 2013.A meta-analysis was performed according to the guidelines from the Cochrane review group and the PRISMA statement.Studies were identified by searching PubMed,Embase,the Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials and World Health Orgnization clinical trials registry center.Meta-analysis was performed in a fixed/random-effect model using Revman 5.1.1 according to the guidelines from the Cochrane review group and the PRISMA guidelines.Results:The results from 13 cohort studies in 12 articles were analyzed to determine the optimal treatment with the lower rate of perioperative mortality in prenatal diagnosis.The superiority of a prenatal diagnosis has been proven because the surgical procedure could be done in the early neonatal period(95%CI,-0.76,-0.40).The prenatal diagnosis has also remarkably reduced the preoperative and postoperative mortality rates in cases of transposition of the great arteries(95% CI=0.06,0.80;95%CI=0.01,0.82,respectively),as well as the overall results with all subtypes(95% CI=0.18,0.94;95% CI=0.46,0.94,respectively).Conclusions:Prenatal diagnosis is effective in perinatal management with an earlier intervention for major congenital heart disease,but only results in a reduced perioperative mortality in cases of transposition of the great arteries.Further investigations are required to evaluate the effect of prenatal diagnosis on life quality during a long-term follow-up.Yi-Fei Li Kai-Yu Zhou Jie Fang Chuan Wang Yi-Min Hua De-Zhi Mu 2016World Journal of Pediatrics2016,12,3:0

11Multifunctional metal-polyphenol nanocomposite for melanoma targeted photo/chemodynamic synergistic therapy显示文摘Due to the hypoxic state of the tumor microenvironment(TME),photodynamic therapy(PDT)suffers from insufficient ROS production.The metal-polyphenol network-mediated Fenton reaction can generate reac-tive oxygen species(ROS)by consuming H_(2)O_(2) in TME,improving the inadequate ROS generation problem of PDT.Therefore,synergistic therapy combining PDT and Fenton response-based CDT is a promising ap-proach for cancer treatment.Herein,a metal-polyphenol nanocomposite was deposited with gallic acid grafted hyaluronic acid and Fe^(3+) to contrast a Ce6 nano-delivery system(Ce6@HSF NPs)for melanoma synergistic therapy.Ce6@HSF NPs could be used as a Fenton reagent to induce the·OH production and enhance the PDT effect of Ce6 to a certain extent.After 4 h of cellular uptake,the fluorescence intensity of Ce6 in the Ce6@HSF NPs group was higher than 3 times that in the Ce6 group.The intracellular ROS generation level of the Ce6@HSF NPs(L)group combining CDT and PDT was higher than that of the Ce6 group and Ce6@HSF NPs group.In vitro and in vivo anti-melanoma studies show that Ce6@HSF NPs(L)group exhibited better anti-melanoma than other groups.Together,Ce6@HSF NPs provide a promising synergistic treatment potential for melanoma.Di Chuan Huan Hou Yuelong Wang Min Mu Jinglun Li Yangmei Ren Na Zhao Bo Han Haifeng Chen Gang Guo 2023Journal of Materials Science & Technology2023,,21:0
12A CORBA-Based Multidatabase System——Panorama Project显示文摘Panorama is a multidatabase system (MDBS) devel oped in HUST. The project aims to achieve interoperability among existing, heter ogeneous, federated database management systems such as Oracle8, Sybase, and DM2 (A database management system developed at HUST, Wuhan, China). This system is based on OMG’s distributed object management architecture and it is implemented on top of CORBA compliant, namely VisiBroker, which is used as its infrastructu re. Panorama can provide its users a single common data model and a single globa l query language named PanoSQL, which make it possible to incorporate different databases into the system. The main component of this system are interfaces for the Local DBMSs that participate in Panorama, a transaction manager, a common da ta model, a schema integrator, a global query language, and a global query proce ssing and optimization. We first discuss the architecture and components of Panorama system. We also dis cuss the schema integration in this system. And we extend our discussion to the query language, transaction management, and the query processing developed for t his system. 14The Optimal Precursors for ENSO Events Depicted Using the Gradientdefinition-based Method in an Intermediate Coupled Model显示文摘The predictability of El Ni-o-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) has been an important area of study for years. Searching for the optimal precursor (OPR) of ENSO occurrence is an effective way to understand its predictability. The CNOP (conditional nonlinear optimal perturbation), one of the most effective ways to depict the predictability of ENSO, is adopted to study the optimal sea surface temperature (SST) precursors (SST-OPRs) of ENSO in the IOCAS ICM (intermediate coupled model developed at the Institute of Oceanology, Chinese Academy of Sciences). To seek the SST-OPRs of ENSO in the ICM, non-ENSO events simulated by the ICM are chosen as the basic state. Then, the gradient-definition-based method (GD method) is employed to solve the CNOP for different initial months of the basic years to obtain the SSTOPRs. The experimental results show that the obtained SST-OPRs present a positive anomaly signal in the western-central equatorial Pacific, and obvious differences exist in the patterns between the different seasonal SST-OPRs along the equatorial western-central Pacific, showing seasonal dependence to some extent. Furthermore, the non-El Ni-o events can eventually evolve into El Ni-o events when the SST-OPRs are superimposed on the corresponding seasons;the peaks of the Ni-o3.4 index occur at the ends of the years, which is consistent with the evolution of the real El Ni-o. These results show that the GD method is an effective way to obtain SST-OPRs for ENSO events in the ICM. 15Migration and distribution characteristics of soil heavy metal(loid)s at a lead smelting site显示文摘Heavy metal(loid)s contamination is a constant issue at smelting sites.It is essential to investigate the spatial distribution and migration characteristics of heavy metal(loid)s in the soil for environmental management and remediation strategies of non-ferrous smelting sites.In this study,203 soil samples from 57 sites were collected in a typical lead smelting site.The findings demonstrated that there were significant Pb,Zn,Cd,and As contamination in soil samples.The spatial distribution of heavy metal(loid)s showed strong spatial heterogeneity,the contaminated soil areas of Pb,As,Cd,and Zn were 99.5%,98.9%,85.3%,and 72.4%,respectively.Pb,Cd,and As contamination of the soil reached a depth of 5 m,which migrated from the surface to deep soil layers.The leaching contents of Zn,Pb,and As decreased obviously in 3-4 m soil layer,but the leaching content of Cd was still high,which indicated the high migration of Cd.With the increase of depth,the proportion of acid soluble fraction of heavy metal(loid)s decreased,and the residual fraction increased.The acid soluble fraction of Cd accounted for a higher proportion,and As mainly existed in reducible and residual fractions in soil.According to the calculation of the migration factor,the migration of heavy metal(loid)s in soils were ordered as Cd>Zn>Pb>As.The outcomes are advantageous for risk reduction and site remediation for non-ferrous metal smelting sites.Chuxuan Li Mu Li Jiaqing Zeng Shanxin Yuan Xinghua Luo Chuan Wu Shengguo Xue 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,1:0
16Polydopamine-coated i-motif DNA/Gold nanoplatforms for synergistic photothermal-chemotherapy显示文摘The combination of photothermal therapywith chemotherapy has gradually developed into promising cancer therapy.Here,a synergistic photothermal-chemotherapy nanoplatform based on polydopamine(PDA)-coated gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)were facilely achieved via the in situ polymerization of dopamine(DA)on the surface of AuNPs.This nanoplatform exhibited augmented photothermal conversion efficiency and enhanced colloidal stability in comparison with uncoated PDA shell AuNPs.The i-motif DNA nanostructure was assembled on PDA-coated AuNPs,which could be transformed into a C-quadruplex structure under an acidic environment,showing a characteristic pH response.The PDA shell served as a linker between the AuNPs and the i-motif DNA nanostructure.To enhance the specific cellular uptake,the AS1411 aptamer was introduced to the DNA nanostructure employed as a targeting ligand.In addition,Dox-loaded NPs(DAu@PDA-AS141)showed the pH/photothermal-responsive release of Dox.The photothermal effect of DAu@PDA-AS141 elicited excellent photothermal performance and efficient cancer cell inhibition under 808 nm near-infrared(NIR)irradiation.Overall,these results demonstrate that the DAu@PDA-AS141 nanoplatform shows great potential in synergistic photothermal-chemotherapy.Bo Chen Lan Mei Rangrang Fan Di Chuan Yangmei Ren Min Mu Haifeng Chen Bingwen Zou Gang Guo 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,2:0
