1Defect and Doping Co‑Engineered Non‑Metal Nanocarbon ORR Electrocatalyst显示文摘Exploring low-cost and earth-abundant oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)electrocatalyst is essential for fuel cells and metal–air batteries.Among them,non-metal nanocarbon with multiple advantages of low cost,abundance,high conductivity,good durability,and competitive activity has attracted intense interest in recent years.The enhanced ORR activities of the nanocarbons are normally thought to originate from heteroatom(e.g.,N,B,P,or S)doping or various induced defects.However,in practice,carbon-based materials usually contain both dopants and defects.In this regard,in terms of the co-engineering of heteroatom doping and defect inducing,we present an overview of recent advances in developing non-metal carbon-based electrocatalysts for the ORR.The characteristics,ORR performance,and the related mechanism of these functionalized nanocarbons by heteroatom doping,defect inducing,and in particular their synergistic promotion effect are emphatically analyzed and discussed.Finally,the current issues and perspectives in developing carbon-based electrocatalysts from both of heteroatom doping and defect engineering are proposed.This review will be beneficial for the rational design and manufacturing of highly efficient carbon-based materials for electrocatalysis.Jian Zhang Jingjing Zhang Feng He Yijun Chen Jiawei Zhu Deli Wang Shichun Mu Hui Ying Yang 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,4:8
2miR-20b suppresses mitochondrial dysfunction-mediated apoptosis to alleviate hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury by directly targeting MFN1 and MFN2显示文摘Supplemental oxygen is commonly used to treat severe respiratory failure, while prolonged exposure to hyperoxia can induce acute lung injury characterized by the accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and pulmonary inflammation. Dysregulation of microRNAs contributes to multiple diseases, including hyperoxia-induced acute lung injury (HALI). In this study, we explored the roles of miR-20b in mediating the response of type II alveolar epithelial cells (ACE IIs) to hyperoxia and the potential underlying mechanisms. We found that miR-20b was significantly decreased in the lung tissues of HALI models and H2O2-treated ACE IIs. Hyperoxia induced the release of TNF-α, decreased the mitochondrial membrane potential, and led to excessive ROS production and cell apoptosis. Overexpression of miR-20b suppressed the hyperoxia-induced biological effects in ACE IIs. miR-20b negatively regulated the expression levels of Mitofusin 1 (MFN1) and MFN2, the two key proteins of mitochondrial fusion, via complementarily binding to the 3ʹ-untranslated regions of mRNAs. Furthermore, both in vivo and in vitro, upregulation of MFN1 and MFN2 aggravated lung damage and cell apoptosis that were alleviated by miR-20b overexpression. 3Relationship between Lightning Activity and Tropospheric Nitrogen Dioxide and the Estimation of Lightning-produced Nitrogen Oxides over China显示文摘To better understand the relationship between lightning activity and nitrogen oxides(NOX) in the troposphere and to estimate lightning-produced NOX(LNOX) production in China more precisely, spatial and temporal distributions of vertical column densities of tropospheric nitrogen dioxide(NO_2VCDs) and lightning activity were analyzed using satellite measurements. The results showed that the spatial distribution of lightning activity is greater in the east than in the west of China, as with NO_2 VCDs. However, the seasonal and annual variation between lightning and NO_2 density show different trends in the east and west. The central Tibetan Plateau is sparsely populated without modern industry, and NO_2 VCDs across the plateau are barely affected by anthropogenic sources. The plateau is an ideal area to study LNOX. By analyzing 15 years of satellite data from that region, it was found that lightning density is in strong agreement with annual, spatial and seasonal variations of NO_2 VCDs, with a correlation coefficient of 0.79 from the linear fit. 4Numerical simulation of 23 June 2016 Yancheng City EF4 tornadic supercell and analysis of lightning activity显示文摘Based on the Weather Research Forecasting(WRF) model that features charging and discharging parameterization,relationships between tornado, hail and lightning were investigated for a tornado-producing(EF4 intensity) supercell thunderstorm over Yancheng City in Jiangsu Province, China, on 23 June 2016. Based on a sounding at 0800, there was a low lifting condensation level, substantial convective available potential energy(CAPE), and strong vertical wind shear near Yancheng City, which promote supercell development. At 1400, observations revealed that hail production and a dramatic increase of positive cloud-to-ground flash rates occurred simultaneously, maximizing five minutes later. The tornado occurred 30 min after the hail production. The time of minimum positive cloud-to-ground flash rates was 15 min later. The simulation indicated that the tornadic supercell moved eastward and that positive cloud-to-ground flash rates increased dramatically at 1400, the same as observed, but their maximum was 5 min later than observed. The simulated updraft volume peaked at 1425 and the simulated downdraft volume maximized5 min later, when the mesocyclone formed. Simulated reflectivities showed no hook echo and horizontal winds for different height at mid-low levels had a different cyclonic shear at 1430, favorable to mesocyclone formation. Based on the simulated results,the region of positively charged graupel ascended resulting from the region of high liquid water content was lifted by the strong updraft, forming a mid-level strong positive charge region. 8Value Evaluation Method for Pumped Storage in the New Power System显示文摘When integrating the generation of large-scale renewable energy,such as wind and solar energy,the supply and demand sides of the new power system will exhibit high uncertainty.Pumped storage power stations can improve flexible resource supply regulation in the power system,which is the key support and important guarantee for building low-carbon,safe,and efficient new power systems.Limited by the current operation mode and electricity price mechanism,the pumped storage power station cost cannot be effectively recovered,and the value cannot be reasonably compensated,resulting in difficult return on investment,single investment subjects,and notable industry development difficulties.According to the operational requirements of the new power system,combined with the various functions of pumped storage power stations,the value of pumped storage power stations in the new power system was analyzed.Based on the equivalent value substitution principle and system operation simulation,a pumped storage value evaluation method for the new power system was proposed.The new power system operation was simulated considering the dispatching model of wind and photovoltaic power abandonment penalties.Under the same dispatching objectives,the output of various power sources and power generation operating costs with and without pumped storage power stations in the system were compared.From economic,safety,social,and environmental benefit perspectives,a quantitative model of the pumped storage power station value was established,covering seven dimensions:asset investment savings,power generation operating cost reduction,flexible adjustment capability improvement,system resilience enhancement,power outage loss reduction,renewable energy consumption,and emission reduction promotion.Based on the new power system operation and planning data for southern China,the value of typical pumped storage power stations was analyzed,and the results showed that with new power system’s construction and development,the value of pumped storage power stations is increasing,and the value structure is closely related to power grid characteristics.This value evaluation method could provide references for pumped storage investment decisions,subsidy policies,and price mechanisms to fully utilize the role of pumped storage power stations and promote high-quality development of new power systems.Yumin Peng Ying Yang Man Chen Xuelin Wang Yijun Xiong Mu Wang Yikai Li Bushi Zhao 2023Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2023,9,3:0
