1Bottom water temperature measurements in the South China Sea,eastern Indian Ocean and western Pacific Ocean显示文摘文章报道了一批新的海底底水温度(BWT)数据,其中南海(SCS)158个站位、东印度洋(EIO)30个站位及西太平洋(WPO)37个站位。基于这批新的BWT数据,获得南海和西太平洋海域底水温度与水深经验关系,可为地球物理和物理海洋提供准确、可靠的海底温度边界。这将有助于海底油气资源调查与评估。同时,这批实测数据表明:1)水深超过3500m的海域,其底水温度在南海约为2.47℃,比东印度洋(~1.34℃)和西太平洋(~1.60℃)稍微偏高。这与大洋传送带模式所预测的情况比较吻合。该模式认为:低温高盐的海水,从北大西洋格陵兰岛和冰岛附近海域下沉到深层,然后向南流动,再与南极洲周围海域的低温高盐海水一同向北进入印度洋和太平洋。而南海是一个相对比较封闭的热带边缘海,其内部海水与印度洋和菲律宾海交换有限,导致海水温度整体高于印度洋和太平洋。2)台西南盆地水深在2700~3000m的部分站位,其底水温高达约3.00℃,明显高于其周边同水深海域底水温度(平均值约为2.33℃)。这可能是台西南盆地海底水热活动导致的结果。3)在东印度洋和西太平洋水深超过4800m海域,底水温度随着水压增大稍有升高,其升高率分别为10.6mK·MPa^(-1)和12.0mK·MPa^(-1)。这与理论估算的深层底水绝热压力温度梯度范围较为吻合。这也意味着东印度洋和西太平洋深层底水,主要由绝热自压作用导致其温度随着深度的增大而升高。YANG Xiaoqiu SHI Xiaobin ZHAO Junfeng YU Chuanhai GAO Hongfang CHEN Aihua LU Yuanzheng CEN Xianrong LIN Weiren ZENG Xin XU Hehua REN Ziqiang ZHOU Shengqi XU Ziying SUN Jinlong KAMIYA Nana LIN Jian 2018热带海洋学报2018,37,5:8

3FlexMEMS-enabled hetero-integration for monolithic FBAR-above-IC oscillators显示文摘In this work,a monolithic oscillator chip is heterogeneously integrated by a film bulk acoustic resonator(FBAR)and a complementary metal-oxide-semiconductor(CMOS)chip using FlexMEMS technology.In the 3 D-stacked integrated chip,the thin-film FBAR sits directly over the CMOS chip,between which a 4μm-thick SU-8 layer provides a robust adhesion and acoustic reflection cavity.The proposed system-on-chip(SoC)integration features a simple fabrication process,small size,and excellent performance.The oscillator outputs 2.024 GHz oscillations of-13.79 dB m and exhibits phase noises of-63,-120,and-136 dB c/Hz at 1 kHz,100 kHz,and far-from-carrier offset,respectively.FlexMEMS technology guarantees compact and accurate assembly,process compatibility,and high performance,thereby demonstrating its great potential in SoC hetero-integration applications.Chuanhai Gao Menglun Zhang Yuan Jiang 2019Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2019,2,3:1
4An Investigation on Efficient Acoustic Energy Reflection of Flexible Film Bulk Acoustic Resonators显示文摘This paper investigates the issues on acoustic energy reflection of flexible film bulk acoustic resonators(FBARs). The flexible FBAR was fabricated with an air cavity in the polymer substrate, which endowed the resonator with efficient acoustic reflection and high electrical performance. The acoustic wave propagation and reflection in FBAR were first analyzed by Mason model, and then flexible FBARs of 2.66 GHz series resonance in different configurations were fabricated. To validate efficient acoustic reflection of flexible resonators, FBARs were transferred onto different polymer substrates without air cavities. Experimental results indicate that efficient acoustic reflection can be efficiently predicted by Mason model. Flexible FBARs with air cavities exhibit a higher figure of merit(FOM). Our demonstration provides a feasible solution to flexible MEMS devices with highly efficient acoustic reflection(i.e. energy preserving) and free-moving cavities, achieving both high flexibility and high electrical performance.Chuanhai Gao Yuan Jiang Lin Zhang Bohua Liu Menglun Zhang 2018Nanotechnology and Precision Engineering2018,1,2:1

7Dynamic phosphorylation of CENP-N by CDK1 guides accurate chromosome segregation in mitosis显示文摘In mitosis,accurate chromosome segregation depends on the kinetochore,a supermolecular machinery that couples dynamic spin-dle microtubules to centromeric chromatin.However,the structure–activity relationship of the constitutive centromere-associated network(CCAN)during mitosis remains uncharacterized.Building on our recent cryo-electron microscopic analyses of human CCAN structure,we investigated how dynamic phosphorylation of human CENP-N regulates accurate chromosome segregation.Our mass spectrometric analyses revealed mitotic phosphorylation of CENP-N by CDK1,which modulates the CENP-L–CENP-N interaction for accurate chromosome segregation and CCAN organization.Perturbation of CENP-N phosphorylation is shown to prevent proper chromosome alignment and activate the spindle assembly checkpoint.These analyses provide mechanistic insight into a previously undefined link between the centromere–kinetochore network and accurate chromosome segregation.Ran Liu Zhen Dou Tian Tian Xinjiao Gao Lili Chen Xiao Yuan Chunyue Wang Jiahe Hao Ping Gui McKay Mullen Felix Aikhionbare Liwen Niu Guoqiang Bi Peng Zou Xuan Zhang Chuanhai Fu Xuebiao Yao Jianye Zang Xing Liu 2023Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2023,15,6:0
8THE IMPACT OF TROPICAL CYCLONES ON CHINA IN 2016显示文摘In 2016, the Northwest Pacific and the South China Sea registered the genesis of 26 tropical cyclones. 8 of them, including NEPARTAK(1601), MIRINAE(1603), NIDA(1604), DIANMU(1608), MERANTI(1614),MEGI(1617), SARIKA(1621) and HAIMA(1622), made landfall over China's coastal areas. The number one TC of 2016, NEPARTAK, was named on July 3. Although no typhoon generated in the first half of this year,which means 4.6 incidences less compared with the same period of a normal year, more tropical cyclones made landfall over China(the historical average in the same period of 1949-2015 is 6.7). And these 8 tropical cyclones had an averaged intensity up to 40.6 m/s, significantly enhanced compared with the multi-year average of 32.8 m/s.The death toll from the 11 tropical cyclones affected China in 2016 is 206. MERANTI was the most destructive one in 2016, which brought up the largest numbers of affected and evacuated population, damaged houses and direct economic losses. In 2016, China Meteorological Administration(CMA) 24-120 h mean official track forecast errors were 66, 127, 213, 292 and 364 km, respectively. 9Operando surface science methodology reveals surface effect in charge storage electrodes显示文摘Surface and interface play critical roles in energy storage devices,calling for operando characterization techniques to probe the electrified surfaces/interfaces.In this work,surface science methodology,including electron spectroscopy and scanning probe microscopy,has been successfully applied to visualize electrochemical processes at operating electrode surfaces in an Al/graphite model battery.Intercalation of anions together with cations is directly observed in the surface region of a graphite electrode with tens of nanometers thickness,the concentration of which is one order higher than that in bulk.An intercalation pseudocapacitance mechanism and a double specific capacity in the electrode surface region are expected based on the super-dense intercalants and anion/cation co-intercalation,which are in sharp contrast to the battery-like mechanism in the electrode bulk.The distinct electrochemical mechanism at the electrode surface is verified by performance tests of real battery devices,showing that a surface-dominant,nanometer-thick graphite cathode outperforms a bulk-dominant,micrometer-thick graphite cathode.Our findings highlight the important surface effect of working electrodes in charge storage systems.Chao Wang Yanxiao Ning Haibo Huang Shiwen Li Chuanhai Xiao Qi Chen Li Peng Shuainan Guo Yifan Li Conghui Liu Zhong-Shuai Wu Xianfeng Li Liwei Chen Chao Gao Chuan Wu Qiang Fu 2021National Science Review2021,8,3:0
