1Sediment Compaction and Pore Pressure Prediction in Deepwater Basin of the South China Sea: Estimation from ODP and IODP Drilling Well Data显示文摘Overpressure in deepwater basins not only causes serious soft sediment deformation, but also significantly affects the safety of drilling operations. Therefore, prediction of overpressure in sediments has become an important task in deepwater oil exploration and development. In this study, we analyze the drilling data from ODP Leg 184 Sites 1144, 1146, and 1148, and IODP Leg 349 Sites U1431, U1432, U1433, and U1435 to study the sediment compaction and controls in the northern South China Sea. Sedimentation rate, sediment content, distribution area, and buried depth are the factors that influence sediment compaction in the deepwater basin of the South China Sea. Among these factors, the sediment content is the most important. The fitted normal compacted coefficients and mudline porosity for an interval of 50 m shows disciplinary variation versus depth. The pore pressure predicted from different fitted results shows varying overpressure situations. The normal compaction trend from Site 1144 reflects the porosity variation trend in stable deposition basins in the northern South China Sea. The predicted pore pressure shows overpressure at Site 1144, which is attributed to compaction disequilibrium. Nevertheless, the mixed lithology column may influence the predicted overpressure at Site 1148, which is responsible for the confusing result. 2A novel constant interfacial area cell for determining the extraction kinetics of Er(Ⅲ) from chloride medium显示文摘A novel constant interfacial area cell(NCIAC),by spatially separating the agitation from liquid flow circulation of organic and aqueous two phases,was suggested to obtain detailed kinetic data for Er(Ⅲ) extraction from chloride medium by 2-ethyl-hexyl-phosphonic acid mono-(2-ethylhexyl) ester(EHEHPA).Different from the traditional Lewis cell and the constant interfacial area cell with laminar flow,the concentrations of Er(Ⅲ) in organic and aqueous two phases were uniform,and the stability of the interfacial area between the two phases could be controlled effectively.Therefore,the special requirements for the design of agitators in the traditional Lewis cell and the constant interfacial area cell for minimizing the influence of diffusion resistance could be avoided.Experimental results indicated that the extraction kinetics was mainly affected by the aqueous flow rate,interfacial area between organic and aqueous two phases,and the aqueous p H values.An extraction kinetic equation was suggested based on the experimental data.Chuanxu Xiao Kun Huang Huizhou Liu 2018Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2018,26,6:2
3On Design of Conjugated Transmission Scheme for FBMC/OQAM Systems with Interference Cancellation显示文摘Compared to OFDM systems with cyclic prefi x, fi lterbank multicarrier with offset quadrature amplitude modulation(FBMC/OQAM) system is considered as an alternative technology for next generation wireless communication systems. However, FBMC systems suffer from intrinsic imaginary interference caused by the real-fi eld orthogonality destruction when passing through complex-valued fading channels. By analyzing the transmultiplexer's response of FBMC/OQAM systems, in this paper, a simple conjugated transmission scheme is proposed for FBMC/OQAM systems. Following the specific conjugation design, the intrinsic imaginary interference including the intrinsic inter-symbol and the inter-carrier interference can be eliminated at the receiver side through linear signal processing operation. Meanwhile, the proposed conjugated transmission scheme is able to obtain extra linear combination diversity gains for improving the systematic performance of FBMC/OQAM. 10Pre-Drilling Prediction Techniques on the High-Temperature High-Pressure Hydrocarbon Reservoirs Offshore Hainan Island,China显示文摘Decreasing the risks and geohazards associated with drilling engineering in high-temperature high-pressure(HTHP) geologic settings begins with the implementation of pre-drilling prediction techniques(PPTs). To improve the accuracy of geopressure prediction in HTHP hydrocarbon reservoirs offshore Hainan Island, we made a comprehensive summary of current PPTs to identify existing problems and challenges by analyzing the global distribution of HTHP hydrocarbon reservoirs, the research status of PPTs, and the geologic setting and its HTHP formation mechanism. Our research results indicate that the HTHP formation mechanism in the study area is caused by multiple factors, including rapid loading, diapir intrusions, hydrocarbon generation, and the thermal expansion of pore fluids. Due to this multi-factor interaction, a cloud of HTHP hydrocarbon reservoirs has developed in the Ying-Qiong Basin, but only traditional PPTs have been implemented, based on the assumption of conditions that do not conform to the actual geologic environment, e.g., Bellotti's law and Eaton's law. In this paper, we focus on these issues, identify some challenges and solutions, and call for further PPT research to address the drawbacks of previous works and meet the challenges associated with the deepwater technology gap. 11Spatial Variations of b-Values in the Coastal Area of Guangdong显示文摘We used earthquake catalogs recorded by Guangdong Seismological Network from 2008 to 2014 to resolve the spatial variations of b-values in the coastal area of Guangdong, particularly in three key research areas(Yangjiang, Heyuan, and offshore Nanao Island) with strong seismicity. Our results revealed that b-values exhibited significant spatial variations, and zones with low b-values could indicate the most likely seismogenic area of large earthquakes. We observed three clear low b-value patches in the offshore Nanao Island. We found a distinct high b-value peak at the depth of 11 km and two minimum peaks at about 14 and 7–8 km in the Yangjiang area. The overall b-values generally decrease with depth in the Heyuan area. The spatial variations of b-values reflect tectonic anomalies; that is, the ‘low-high-low' distribution of b-values in the offshore Nanao Island and the Yangjiang area may indicate the anomaly of the crustal structure with a weak layer. The b-values of reservoir-induced seismicity are obviously lower than that induced by tectonism. This finding indicates that the reservoir area is generally at high stress state under the condition of high pore pressure. We inferred that large earthquakes might be prone to occur at 10–12 km depth in the offshore Nanao Island, at 12–15 km depth in the Yangjiang area, and at the lower part of the seismic activity zone in the Heyuan area. 12Serum-induced degradation of 3D DNA box origami observed with high-speed atomic force microscopy显示文摘3D DNA origami holds tremendous potential for the encapsulation and selective release of therapeutic drugs. Observations of the real-time performance of these structures in physiological environments will contribute to the development of future applications. We investigated the degradation kinetics of 3D DNA box origami in serum by using high-speed atomic force microscope optimized for imaging 3D DNA origami in real time. The time resolution allowed to characterize the stages of serum effects on individual 3D DNA boxes origami with nanometer resolution. Our results indicate that the digestion process is a combination of rapid collapse and slow degradation phases. Damage to box origami occurs mainly in the collapse phase. 19On the stability of two-step predictive controller based on state observer显示文摘For input saturated Hammerstein systems, the two-step predictive control strategy is adopted. The first step calculates the desired intermediate variable applying unconstrained linear model and predictive control. 20Ab initio investigation of the cyclodehydrogenation process for polyanthrylene transformation to graphene nanoribbons显示文摘Graphene nanoribbons(GNRs)can be synthesized from molecular precursors with atomic precision.A prominent case is the 7-atom-wide armchair GNR made from 10,10′-dibromo-9,9′-bianthryl(DBBA)precursors on metal substrates through dehalogenation/polymerization followed by cyclodehydrogenation.We investigate the key aspects of the cyclodehydrogenation process by evaluating the energy profiles of various reaction pathways using density functional theory and the nudged elastic band method.The metal substrate plays a critical catalytic role by providing stronger adsorption for products and facilitating H desorption.For polyanthrylene on an extra layer of GNR on Au,the underlying GNR insulates it from the Au substrate and increases the reaction barriers,rendering the polyanthrylene“quasi-freestanding”.However,positive charge injection can induce localized cyclodehydrogenation.We find that this is due to the stabilization of an intermediate state through an arenium ion mechanism and favorable orbital symmetries.These results provide mechanistic insight into the effects of the metal substrate and charge injection on cyclodehydrogenation during GNR synthesis and offer guidance for the design and growth of new graphitic structures.Zhongcan Xiao Chuanxu Ma Wenchang Lu Jingsong Huang Liangbo Liang Kunlun Hong An-Ping Li Bobby G.Sumpter Jerzy Bernholc 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:0
