1Prevalence and treatment of hypertension in China: impacts of 2017 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association High Blood Pressure Guideline显示文摘The definition, recommended treatment thresholds and targets of hypertension have been updated in the recent 2017 American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association(ACC/AHA) Guideline for the Prevention, Detection, Evaluation and Management of High Blood Pressure in Adults. However,the impacts of this guideline on Chinese population are currently unknown. In this study, we aim to provide updated data in China using criteria from the updated guideline. A multistage, stratified sampling method was used to obtain a representative sample of 50,171 adults aged 18 years and above.Hypertension was defined as an average systolic blood pressure !130 mm Hg, or an average diastolic blood pressure !80 mm Hg, or self-reported use of antihypertensive medications in past 2 weeks. The weighted prevalence of hypertension was 60.1%(95% confidence interval [CI] 59.3%–61.0%). The treatment rate and recommended treatment rate were 16.8%(95% CI 16.1%–17.6%) and 53.7%(95% CI52.6%–54.9%), respectively; the gap was more prominent among men and participants from rural areas.Hence, the adoption of the 2017 ACC/AHA guideline will lead to a substantial increase in both prevalence and number of patients needing treatment in China. 3Fluid properties and sources of Sixiangchang carbonate-associated mercury deposit, southwest China显示文摘Mercury mines in Guizhou province are the main base of mercury production and the most important resource base in China.The San-Dan mercury belt in Guizhou province contains a series of important mercury deposits.However,the source of metallogenic materials and the properties of metallogenic fluid of these mercury deposits have long been a controversial issue.In this study,we used cathode luminescence techniques to distinguish different stages of dolomite and calcite,laser ablation inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry to analyze the trace elements,and stable isotope mass spectrometry techniques to analyze C-O isotopes compositions of dolomite and calcite in the Sixiangchang mercury deposit in San-Dan mercury belt.We also measured the sulfur isotope composition of cinnabar.Our study showed that dolomite can be divided into two stages,the lumpy dolomite associated with cinnabar in Dol 1 stage and dolomite vein in Dol 2 stage,which is associated with Cal 2 stage calcite vein.With the progress of mineralization,A1,As,Mo,Sb,and Sr elements were gradually enriched in the ore-forming fluid.The rare earth element(REE)partition curve of Dol 1 stage dolomite showed a trend of light REE enrichment.Cal 2 stage calcite and Dol 2 stage dolomite exhibited a flat-type REE partition curve,and Dol 2 stage dolomite showed a strong negative anomaly for Eu.δ^13C of carbonate mineral variation ranges from-6.89 to-2.16‰,whileδ^18O variation ranges from 13.80 to 23.09‰,and theδ34S variation range of cinnabar is 16.51-24.28‰.Carbonate mineral trace elements and C-O isotopes compositions suggested that early ore-forming fluid was reduced,and late ore-forming fluid was oxidized.The oreforming fluid of the Sixiangchang mercury deposit is a mixture of deep crustal fluid and meteoric water in deep thermal circulation,and involved in the oxidation of organic matter.The cinnabarδ^34S results showed that sulfur mainly came from seawater sulfate with the participation of microbial reduction.Sulfur is sedimentary in origin and was derived mainly from the host-rock strata.Yuzhou Zhuo Yong Huang Jinwei Li Wei Gao Jinxiang Li 2019Acta Geochimica2019,38,5:2
4Sediment Compaction and Pore Pressure Prediction in Deepwater Basin of the South China Sea: Estimation from ODP and IODP Drilling Well Data显示文摘Overpressure in deepwater basins not only causes serious soft sediment deformation, but also significantly affects the safety of drilling operations. Therefore, prediction of overpressure in sediments has become an important task in deepwater oil exploration and development. In this study, we analyze the drilling data from ODP Leg 184 Sites 1144, 1146, and 1148, and IODP Leg 349 Sites U1431, U1432, U1433, and U1435 to study the sediment compaction and controls in the northern South China Sea. Sedimentation rate, sediment content, distribution area, and buried depth are the factors that influence sediment compaction in the deepwater basin of the South China Sea. Among these factors, the sediment content is the most important. The fitted normal compacted coefficients and mudline porosity for an interval of 50 m shows disciplinary variation versus depth. The pore pressure predicted from different fitted results shows varying overpressure situations. The normal compaction trend from Site 1144 reflects the porosity variation trend in stable deposition basins in the northern South China Sea. The predicted pore pressure shows overpressure at Site 1144, which is attributed to compaction disequilibrium. Nevertheless, the mixed lithology column may influence the predicted overpressure at Site 1148, which is responsible for the confusing result. 5Mixed Carbonate-Siliciclastic Deposits in a Channel Complex in the Northern South China Sea显示文摘New high-resolution 3D seismic data image a submarine channel complex in the northern slope of the South China Sea.The channel complex stretches hundreds of kilometers across the slope and flows into the deepsea from the siliciclastic shelf margin,linking neritic environment to the pelagic plain.The evolution of the channel complex developed two sedimentary stages,stage I(19.1–18.5 Ma)and stage II(18.5–17.5 Ma),separated by erosional surfaces.In the first stage,the complex was filled with pure siliciclastic sediments,forming thick-massive sandstone intercalated by thin layers of mudstone.During the stage II,the channel complex was deposited five carbonate-siliciclastic cycles.The unexpected channel-fill carbonate deposits present allochthonous characteristics,suggesting the siliciclastic channel was surprisingly used to transport carbonate sediment from the adjacent neritic carbonate platform.By analyzing the periodical carbonate sedimentary process in the siliciclastic channel complex,we infer that it was related to the in situ carbonate production of the neritic carbonate platform and was most likely to be controlled by the relative sea-level changes.Unlike line-source carbonate slope aprons or small-sized carbonate channels,the large-sized siliciclastic channel complex links directly neritic carbonate platform to deepwater basin and can transport large volumes of neritic carbonates to the pelagic environment in a short period.The new findings help to estimate the contributions of neritic siliciclastic shelf and carbonate platform to deepwater slope more accurately.This study suggests that channel systems are more complex than expected and have significant implications on the conceptual models describing the deepwater sedimentary theory.Benjun Ma Shiguo Wu Lijun Mi Thomas Lüdmann Jinwei Gao Wei Gao 2018Journal of Earth Science2018,29,3:1
6Numerical Simulation of Mechanical Compaction of Deepwater Shallow Sediments显示文摘To study the compaction law and overpressure evolution in deepwater shallow sediments, a large-strain compaction model that considers material nonlinearity and moving boundary is formulated. The model considers the dependence of permeability and material properties on void ratio. The modified Cam-Clay model is selected as the constitutive relations of the sediments, and the deactivation/reactivation method is used to capture the moving top surface during the deposition process. A one-dimensional model is used to study the compaction law of the shallow sediments. Results show that the settlement of the shallow sediments is large under their own weight during compaction. The void ratio decreases strictly with burial depth and decreases more quickly near the seafloor than in the deeper layers. The generation of abnormal pressure in the shallow flow sands is closely related to the compaction law of shallow sediments. The two main factors that affect the generation of overpressure in the sands are deposition rate and permeability of overlying clay sediments. Overpressure increases with an increase in deposition rate and a decrease in the permeability of the overlying clay sediment. Moreover, an upper limit for the overpressure exists. A two-dimensional model is used to study the differential compaction of the shallow sediments. 7Pre-Drilling Prediction Techniques on the High-Temperature High-Pressure Hydrocarbon Reservoirs Offshore Hainan Island,China显示文摘Decreasing the risks and geohazards associated with drilling engineering in high-temperature high-pressure(HTHP) geologic settings begins with the implementation of pre-drilling prediction techniques(PPTs). To improve the accuracy of geopressure prediction in HTHP hydrocarbon reservoirs offshore Hainan Island, we made a comprehensive summary of current PPTs to identify existing problems and challenges by analyzing the global distribution of HTHP hydrocarbon reservoirs, the research status of PPTs, and the geologic setting and its HTHP formation mechanism. Our research results indicate that the HTHP formation mechanism in the study area is caused by multiple factors, including rapid loading, diapir intrusions, hydrocarbon generation, and the thermal expansion of pore fluids. Due to this multi-factor interaction, a cloud of HTHP hydrocarbon reservoirs has developed in the Ying-Qiong Basin, but only traditional PPTs have been implemented, based on the assumption of conditions that do not conform to the actual geologic environment, e.g., Bellotti's law and Eaton's law. In this paper, we focus on these issues, identify some challenges and solutions, and call for further PPT research to address the drawbacks of previous works and meet the challenges associated with the deepwater technology gap. 12A Quaternion Two-Stream R-CNN Network for Pixel-Level Color Image Splicing Localization显示文摘Recently, Zhou et al. designed a twostream faster Region-Convolutional neural networks(RCNN) model RGB-N for color image splicing localization in CVPR2018. However, the RGB-N locates spliced regions only at block-level and ignores the entirety and inherent correlation of three channels. Therefore, an improved quaternion two-stream R-CNN model is proposed to solve these drawbacks: a mask branch combining fully convolutional network and condition random field is added for locating spliced regions at pixel-level;quaternion representation of color images is used to process color spliced images in a holistical way. In addition, feature pyramid network based on quaternion residual network is considered to extract multi-scale features for color spliced images;attention region proposal network is combined with attention mechanism and is designed to pay more attention to the spliced regions;a high-pass filter designed for image splicing detection specifically is adopted to replace steganalysis rich model filter in the RGB-N to obtain noise input for the noise stream. 13Size,shape,charge and“stealthy”surface:Carrier properties affect the drug circulation time in vivo显示文摘The present review sets out to discuss recent developments of the effects and mechanisms of carrier properties on their circulation time.For most drugs,sufficient in vivo circulation time is the basis of high bioavailability.Drug carrier plays an irreplaceable role in helping drug avoid being quickly recognized and cleared by mononuclear phagocyte system,to give drug enough time to arrive at targeted organ and tissue to play its therapeutic effect.The physical and chemical properties of drug carriers,such as size,shape,surface charge and surface modification,would affect their in vivo circulation time,metabolic behavior and biodistribution.The final circulation time of carriers is determined by the balance between macrophage recognitions,blood vessel penetration and urine excretion.Therefore,when designing the drug delivery system,we should pay much attention to the properties of drug carriers to get enough in vivo circulation time to arrive at target site eventually.This article mainly reviews the effect of carrier size,size,surface charge and surface properties on its circulation time in vivo,and discusses the mechanism of these properties affecting circulation time.This review has reference significance for the research of long-circulation drug delivery system.Jinwei Di Xiang Gao Yimeng Du Hui Zhang Jing Gao Aiping Zheng 2021Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2021,16,4:0
14Rapid and mass manufacturing of soft hydrogel microstructures for cell patterns assisted by 3D printing显示文摘Micro-/nano-patterns on hydrogels are widely used in cell patterning.However,manufacturing molds with traditional lithography is time-consuming and expensive.In addition,the excessive demolding force can easily damage patterns since biocompatible hydrogels are ultra-soft or brittle.Here,we presented a novel method for rapid and mass fabrication of cell patterns.High-precision three-dimensional(3D)printing was used to manufacture a mold with a resolution of 2µm,and the gelatin-based hydrogel was cured by thermal–photo-crosslinking so that the low-concentration and low-substitutionrate hydrogel could be demolded successfully.We found that pre-cooling before illumination made gelatin-based hydrogels resilient due to the partial regain of triple-helix structures.With this method,arbitrarily customized hydrogel patterns with a feature size of 6–80µm can be fabricated stably and at low cost.When cardiomyocytes were seeded on ultra-soft hydrogels with parallel groove structures,a consistent and spontaneous beating with 216 beats per minute(BPM)could be observed,approaching the natural beating rate of rat hearts(300 BPM).Overall,this work provides a general scheme for manufacturing cell patterns which has great potential for cell ethology and tissue repair.Chaofan He Xuechun Chen Yuan Sun Mingjun Xie Kang Yu Jing He Jinwei Lu Qing Gao Jing Nie Yi Wang Yong He 2022Bio-Design and Manufacturing2022,5,4:0
15Petrology and geochemistry of serpentinized peridotites from Hahajima Seamount in Izu-Bonin forearc region显示文摘Serpentinites,which contain up to 13 wt%of water,are important reservoirs for chemical recycling in subduction zones.In the past two decades,forearc mantle serpentinites were identified in different locations around the world.Here,we present petrology and whole rock chemistry of ultramafic and mafic rocks dredged from the Hahajima Seamount,which is located 24–40 km west to the junction of the Izu-Bonin Trench and the Mariana Trench.Nearly all the collected samples are extensively hydrated,and olivine grains in ultramafic rocks are replaced by serpentine minerals,with only one sample preserving remaining trace of orthopyroxene.Our new results show that the Hahajima serpentinized peridotite samples are all MgO-rich(~42 wt%),but have low contents in Al2O3,CaO,rare earth and high field strength elements,which is consistent with the overall depleted character of their mantle protoliths.Model calculations indicate that these Hahajima peridotite samples were derived from 10%–25%partial melting of the presumed fertile mantle source,which is generally lower than those of peridotites from Torishima Forearc Seamount,Conical Seamount and South Chamorro Seamount(mostly>25%).All the serpentinites from these four forearc seamounts show strong enrichment in fluid-mobile and lithophile elements(Li,Sr,Pb and U).In details,Hahajima Seamount serpentinites do not have obvious enrichment in Cs and Rb,and display remarkably high abundances of U.These observations indicate that the serpentinization of Hahajima peridotites occurred by addition of seawater or low temperature seawater-derived hydrothermal fluid,without or with little contribution from slab-derived fluids.The geochemical signature of serpentinites from Hahajima Seamount could be interpreted as the result of the combination of extensive partial melting and subsequent percolation of seawater through the mantle wedge.Tuoyu Wu Liyan Tian Jinwei Gao Yanhui Dong 2019Acta Oceanologica Sinica2019,38,11:0
16Use of serum Golgi protein 73 for screening chronic hepatitis B virus infection patients needing antiviral therapy in the community显示文摘Chronic hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection is a major global public health problem. Approximately 887,000 people die of HBV infection-related diseases annually, with cirrhosis and hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) being the principal causes of mortality.[1] Timely antiviral therapy greatly reduces the risks of cirrhosis and HCC. 17Creation and erasure of polar bubble domains in PbTiO_(3)films by mechanical stress and light illuminations显示文摘The controllable manipulation of polar topological structures(e.g.skyrmion bubble)in ferroelectric materials have been considered as a cornerstone for future programmable nano-electronics.Here,we present the effective creation and erasure of polar bubble states PbTiO_(3)(PTO)multilayers trigged by mechanical stress and light illumination,respectively.It was found that applying atomic force microscope(AFM)tip force can induced formation of nanoscale bubble domains from the initial monodomain state.Moreover,the created bubble domain can be eliminated by exposure to ultraviolet or infrared light illumination.The above results can be understood by modulation of depolarization screening charges and bias fields,as reflected by scanning Kelvin potential microscopic(SKPM)observations,whereby the flexoelectric effect from the tip force tends to remove the screening charges on top surface and modulate the bias field that favors the formation of bubble state while light illumination tends to recover the screen charges and favor the monodomain state.The results provide a good example for multi-field manipulation of polar topologies,which might create a new avenue towards the immerging new concept electronic devices.Xingchen Zhang Hongying Chen Guo Tian Wenda Yang Zhen Fan Zhipeng Hou Deyang Chen Min Zeng Minghui Qin Jinwei Gao Xingsen Gao Jun-Ming Liu 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,4:0
