| 1 | Cementation of sand grains based on carbonate precipitation induced by microorganism显示文摘Microbes can produce 2 3 CO_3^(2-)in an environment conductive to precipitation,so the incompact sands will be consolidated.This technology is environmentally friendly not only because it gives strength to the sand body,but also it allows water to penetrate into the sand body,which is unlike silicate cement that will destroy the ecosystem of the earth.After comparing the activity of three kinds of bacteria,the most suitable one was chosen for the study.However,the activity of this bacterium was still not high enough for the purpose,so it was purified.A suitable program for the consolidation and cementation of sands was also found in the experiment.The compressive strength and the porosity of the cemented sand body were tested to characterize the cementation effectiveness.XRD analysis showed that a new phase of calcite was produced between sand grains.The content of calcite was detected by TG.The study showed that the precipitation program was quite important to obtain a sound cemented sand body in addition to the activity of the bacteria. | QIAN ChunXiang,PAN QingFeng &WANG RuiXing Jiangsu Key Laboratory of Construction Materials,School of Materials Science&Engineering,Southeast University,Nanjing 211189,China | 2010 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,8: | 34 |
| 2 | Synthesis,characterization,and adsorption performance of Pb(Ⅱ)-imprinted polymer in nano-TiO_2 matrix显示文摘Surface ion-imprinted in combination with sol-gel process was applied to synthesis a new Pb(Ⅱ)-imprinted polymer for selective separation and enrichment of trace Pb(II) from aqueous solution. The prepared material was characterized by using the infrared spectra, X-ray diffractometer, and scanning electron microscopy. The batch experiments were conducted to study the optimal adsorption condition of adsorption trace Pb(Ⅱ) from aqueous solutions on Pb(Ⅱ)-imprinted polymer. The equilibrium was achieved in approximately 4.0 h, and the experimental kinetic data were fitted the pseudo second-order model better. The maximum adsorption capacity was 22.7 mg/g, and the Langmuir equation fitted the adsorption isotherm data. The results of selectivity experiment showed that selectively adsorbed rate of Pb(Ⅱ) on Pb(Ⅱ)-imprinted polymer was higher than all other studied ions. Desorption conditions of the adsorbed Pb(Ⅱ) from the Pb(Ⅱ)-imprinted polymer were also studied in batch experiments. The prepared Pb(Ⅱ)-imprinted polymer was shown to be promising for the separation and enrichment of trace Pb(Ⅱ) from water samples. | 3 | Applicability Assessment of the 1998–2018 CLDAS Multi-Source Precipitation Fusion Dataset over China显示文摘Traditional hourly rain gauges and automatic weather stations rarely measure solid precipitation, except for those stations with weighing-type precipitation sensors. Microwave remote sensing has only a low ability to retrieve solid precipitation. In addition, there are no long-term, high-quality precipitation data in China that can be used to drive land surface models. To address these issues, in the China Meteorological Administration(CMA) Land Data Assimilation System(CLDAS), we blended the Climate Prediction Center(CPC) morphing technique(CMORPH) and Modern-Era Retrospective analysis for Research and Applications version 2(MERRA2) precipitation datasets with observed temperature and precipitation data on various temporal scales using multigrid variational analysis and temporal downscaling to produce a multi-source precipitation fusion dataset for China(CLDAS-Prcp). This dataset covers all of China at a resolution of 6.25 km at hourly intervals from 1998 to 2018. We performed dependent and independent evaluations of the CLDAS-Prcp dataset from the perspectives of seasonal total precipitation and land surface model simulation. Our results show that the CLDAS-Prcp dataset represents reasonably the spatial distribution of precipitation in China. The dependent evaluation indicates that the CLDAS-Prcp performs better than the MERRA2 precipitation, CMORPH precipitation, Global Land Data Assimilation System version 2(GLDAS-V2.1) precipitation,and CLDAS-V2.0 winter precipitation, as compared to the meteorological observational precipitation. The independent evaluation indicates that the CLDAS-Prcp dataset performs better than the Global Precipitation Measurement(GPM) precipitation dataset and is similar to the CLDAS-V2.0 summer precipitation dataset based on the hydrological observational precipitation. The simulated soil moisture content driven by CLDAS-Prcp is slightly better than that driven by the CLDAS-V2.0 precipitation, whereas the snow depth simulation driven by CLDAS-Prcp is much better than that driven by the CLDAS-V2.0 precipitation. This is because the CLDAS-Prcp data have included solid precipitation. | 4 | PREPARATION OF SURFACE ION-IMPRINTED ATTAPULGITE-SUPPORTED POLYMER AND ITS ADSORPTION BEHAVIORS OF Sr(II)显示文摘The surface ion-imprinting concept and chitosan incorporated sol-gel process were applied to the preparation of a new attapulgite-supported organic-inorganic hybrid polymer for selective separation of Sr(II) from aqueous solution. The prepared polymer was characterized with SEM, IR and XRD. The results showed that as a sorbent, it had good configuration and binding sites. Its adsorption behaviors for Sr(II) was investigated by FAAS and ICP-AES. The effects on adsorption capacities, including pH, quiescent time, and adsorbent amount were discussed, and the adsorption isothermal curve was obtained. Then the Kd a parameter estimating relative adsorbability, was conducted to study the selectivity towards Sr(II) of the prepared polymer. Under the optimum conditions, the ion-imprinted polymer offered a fast kinetics for the adsorption of Sr(II) and the maximum capacity was 12.9mg/g. The Kd and K parameters estimating relative adsorbability towards target ion, suggested that selective recognition of the ion-imprinted polymer towards Sr(II) was much higher than that of the non-imprinted polymer and attapulgite. Furthermore, the ion-imprinted polymer is of great regeneration capacity. | 5 | Immobilized MHC class I chain-related protein A synergizes with IL-15 and soluble 4-1BB ligand to expand NK cells with high cytotoxicity ex vivo显示文摘Major histocompatibility complex(MHC)class I chain-related protein A(MICA),which is a ligand for human NKG2D,is expressed by a variety of epithelial tumor cells and promotes the activation of natural killer(NK),CD81 and cd-T cells.Although ectopic expression of MICA on tumor cells elicits anti-tumor responses,soluble MICA downregulates the activities of lymphocytes.In this study,we showed that recombinant,immobilized MICA(iMICA)molecules coated on plastic wells weakly promote peripheral NK cell activation,secretion of interferon(IFN)-c and degranulation without inducing apoptosis.In addition,iMICA synergized with IL-15 and soluble 4-1BB ligand(s4-1BBL)to expand NK cells 25-to 42-fold in a 13-day culture,whereas NK cells stimulated only with IL-15 and s4-1BBL expanded 10-to 16-fold.In contrast toNKcells expanded by IL-15 and s4-1BBL stimulation,NKcells expanded long term in the presence of iMICA exhibited increased cytotoxicity against leukemia cells.These results suggest that large numbers ofNKcells with high cytotoxicity can be generated by stimulation with IL-15 and s4-1BBL in the presence of iMICA and that these cells can be used for adoptive cancer immunotherapy. | Weijuan Gong Weiming Xiao Li Qian Chunxiang Gong Maozhi Hu Xianyuan Pan Mingchun Ji | 2010 | Cellular & Molecular Immunology2010,7,6: | 2 |
| 6 | Maize drought disaster risk assessment of China based on EPIC model显示文摘Digital Agriculture is one of the important applications of Digital Earth.As the global climate changes and food security becomes an increasingly important issue,agriculture drought comes to the focus of attention.China is a typical monsoon climate country as well as an agricultural country with the world’s largest population.The East Asian monsoon has had a tremendous impact upon agricultural production.Therefore,a maize drought disaster risk assessment,in line with the requirements of sustainable development of agriculture,is important for ensuring drought disaster reduction and food security.Meteorology,soil,land use,and agro-meteorological observation information of the research area were collected,and based on the concept framework of‘hazard-inducing factors assessment(hazard)-vulnerability assessment of hazard-affected body(vulner-ability curve)-risk assessment(risk),’importing crop model EPIC(Erosion-Productivity Impact Calculator),using crop model simulation and digital mapping techniques,quantitative assessment of spatio-temporal distribution of maize drought in China was done.The results showed that:in terms of 2,5,10,and 20 year return periods,the overall maize drought risk decreased gradually from northwest to southeast in the maize planting areas.With the 20 year return period,high risk value regions(drought loss rate]0.5)concentrate in the irrigated maize region of Northwest china,ecotone between agriculture and animal husbandry in Northern China,Hetao Irrigation Area,and north-central area of North China Plain,accounting for 6.41%of the total maize area.These results can provide a scientific basis for the government’s decision-making in risk management and drought disaster prevention in China. | Huicong Jia Jingai Wang Chunxiang Cao Donghua Pan Peijun Shi | 2012 | International Journal of Digital Earth2012,5,6: | 1 |
