| 2 | Room-Temperature Superconductivity in Yb/Lu Substituted Clathrate Hexahydrides under Moderate Pressure显示文摘Room temperature superconductivity is a dream that mankind has been chasing for a century.In recent years,the synthesis of H3S,LaH10,and C-S-H compounds under high pressures has gradually made that dream become a reality.But the extreme high pressure required for stabilization of hydrogen-based superconductors limit their applications.So,the next challenge is to achieve room-temperature superconductivity at significantly low pressures,even ambient pressure.In this work,we design a series of high temperature superconductors that can be stable at moderate pressures by incorporating heavy rare earth elements Yb/Lu into sodalite-like clathrate hexahydrides.In particular,the critical temperatures(T_(c))of Y_(3)LuH_(24),YLuH_(12),and YLu_(3)H_(24)can reach 283 K at 120 GPa,275 K at 140 GPa,and 288 K at 110 GPa,respectively.Their critical temperatures are close to or have reached room temperature,and minimum stable pressures are significantly lower than that of reported room temperature superconductors.Our work provides an effective method for the rational design of low-pressure stabilized hydrogen-based superconductors with room-temperature superconductivity simultaneously and will stimulate further experimental exploration. | Mingyang Du Hao Song Zihan Zhang Defang Duan Tian Cui | 2022 | Research2022,,4: | 1 |

| 9 | Characteristics of the vertical structure of the atmospheric turbulence in the Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Tibetan Plateau(TP)has unique atmospheric dynamics and thermal structures that originate from its giant terrain and complex climate.High vertical-resolution thermal radiosondes were launched near the central(Lhasa,91°06′E,29°36′N,3670 m above sea level(ASL))and marginal(Da Qaidam,95°21′E,37°51′N,3180 m ASL)areas of the TP during the summers of 2018 and 2020,respectively.Atmospheric turbulence parameters were calculated,and the characteristics of the atmospheric turbulent vertical structure at sunset in these two areas were analyzed and compared.Affected by TP thermal forcing and stably controlled by the summer monsoon anticyclone,the atmospheric refractive index structure constant(C_(n)^(2))tended to increase and then decrease with increasing height,reaching a maximum at the tropopause(~18 km ASL)at the Lhasa site.Although C_(n)^(2) at the Da Qaidam site also tended to increase at the tropopause,the position of the strong turbulent band(STB)(5–7 km ASL)was below the tropopause height corresponding to the potential temperature lapse rate minimum.The vertical distribution of C_(n)^(2) at the two sites,particularly regarding the position of the STB,was highly correlated with the atmospheric stability(Ri)and the thermal mixing scale(L_(T)).The significant correlations among the three parameters(STB,Ri,and L_(T))indicated that the strong fluctuations in temperature caused by thermal mixing were the dominant factor causing the Ri to be less than its critical value of 0.25.Moreover,the suppression strength involving the upward transport of the heat sources was the main reason for the different turbulent vertical structures and STB positions at the two sites.The zonal mean thermodynamic and dynamical fields derived from the reanalysis data also showed a height difference in the heat sources transported to the troposphere at the two sites.In the marginal TP,the material and energy in the lower troposphere were transported by the turbulent atmosphere upward along the slope of the mountain and converged at the central TP(28°N–35°N)with strong thermal forcing up to the tropopause.In the STB of the Lhasa site,the turbulent dissipation rate and eddy diffusion coefficient increased sharply,indicating that the turbulent atmosphere in this central site was highly diffused,and the small-scale turbulence transported the material and energy upward. | Kun ZHANG Yang WU Feifei WANG Xuebin LI Shengcheng CUI Zihan ZHANG Xiaoqing WU Ningquan WENG Tao LUO Yinbo HUANG | 2022 | Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,7: | 0 |

| 11 | Dissecting the Contributing Role of Divergent Adipose Tissue to Multidimensional Frailty in Cirrhosis显示文摘Background and Aims:Emerging evidence has demonstrated that abnormal body composition may potentiate the development of frailty,whereas little work focuses on the role of divergent adipose tissue.Therefore,we aimed to determine the potential contribution of adipose tissue distribution to multidimensional frailty in decompensated cirrhosis.Methods:We conducted a retrospective cohort study.Divergent adipose tissues were assessed by computed tomography-derived subcutaneous adipose tissue index(SATI),visceral adipose tissue index(VATI)and total adipose tissue index(TATI),respectively.Frailty was identified by our validated self-reported Frailty Index.Multiple binary logistic models incorporating different covariates were established to assess the relationship between adipose tissue distribution and frailty.Results:The study cohort comprised 245 cirrhotic patients with 45.3%being male.The median Frailty Index,body mass index(BMI)and model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score were 0.11,24.3 kg/m2 and 8.9 points,respectively.In both men and women,patients who were frail exhibited lower levels of SATI in comparison with nonfrail patients.SATI inversely correlated with Frailty Index in the entire cohort(rs=−0.1361,p=0.0332).Furthermore,SATI or TATI was independently associated with frail phenotype in several multiple logistic regression models adjusting for age,BMI,presence of ascites,sodium,Child-Pugh class or MELD score in isolation.Conclusions:In the context of decompensated cirrhosis,low SATI and concomitant TATI were associated with higher risk of being frail.These findings highlight the importance to further apply tissue-specific tools of body composition in place of crude metric like BMI. | Lihong Mao Chaoqun Li Xiaoyu Wang Mingyu Sun Yifan Li Zihan Yu Binxin Cui Gaoyue Guo Wanting Yang Yangyang Hui Xiaofei Fan Jie Zhang Kui Jiang Chao Sun | 2023 | Journal of Clinical and Translational Hepatology2023,11,1: | 0 |
| 12 | First-principles study on the conventional superconductivity of N-doped fcc-LuH_(3)显示文摘Recently,room-temperature superconductivity has been reported in a nitrogen-doped lutetium hydride at near-ambient pressure[Dasenbrock-Gammon et al.,Nature 615,244(2023)].The superconducting properties might arise from Fm3m-LuH_(3)−δNε.Here,we systematically study the phase diagram of Lu–N–H at 1 GPa using first-principles calculations,and we do not find any thermodynamically stable ternary compounds.In addition,we calculate the dynamic stability and superconducting properties of N-doped Fm3m-LuH_(3) using the virtual crystal approximation(VCA)and the supercell method.The R3m-Lu_(2)H_(5)N predicted using the supercell method could be dynamically stable at 50 GPa,with a T_(c) of 27 K.According to the VCA method,the highest T_(c) is 22 K,obtained with 1%N-doping at 30 GPa.Moreover,the doping of nitrogen atoms into Fm3m-LuH_(3) slightly enhances T_(c),but raises the dynamically stable pressure.Our theoretical results show that the T_(c) values of N-doped LuH_(3) estimated using the Allen–Dynes-modified McMillan equation are much lower than room temperature. | Zihao Huo Defang Duan Tiancheng Ma Zihan Zhang Qiwen Jiang Decheng An Hao Song Fubo Tian Tian Cui | 2023 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2023,8,3: | 0 |
