1Characterization of the soybean Gm ALMT family genes and the function of Gm ALMT5 in response to phosphate starvation显示文摘A potential mechanism to enhance utilization of sparingly soluble forms of phosphorus(P) is the root secretion of malate, which is mainly mediated by the ALMT gene family in plants. In this study, a total of 34 Gm ALMT genes were identified in the soybean genome. Expression patterns diverged considerably among Gm ALMTs in response to phosphate(Pi) starvation in leaves, roots and flowers, with expression altered by P availability in 26 of the 34 Gm ALMTs. One root-specific Gm ALMT whose expression was significantly enhanced by Pi-starvation,Gm ALMT_5, was studied in more detail to determine its possible role in soybean P nutrition. Analysis of Gm ALMT_5 tissue expression patterns, subcellular localization, and malate exudation from transgenic soybean hairy rootsoverexpressing Gm ALMT_5, demonstrated that Gm ALMT_5 is a plasma membrane protein that mediates malate efflux from roots. Furthermore, both growth and P content of transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing Gm ALMT_5 were significantly increased when sparingly soluble Ca-P was used as the external P source. Taken together, these results indicate that members of the soybean Gm ALMT gene family exhibit diverse responses to Pi starvation. 2Solving flexible job shop scheduling problem by a multi-swarm collaborative genetic algorithm显示文摘The flexible job shop scheduling problem(FJSP),which is NP-hard,widely exists in many manufacturing industries.It is very hard to be solved.A multi-swarm collaborative genetic algorithm(MSCGA)based on the collaborative optimization algorithm is proposed for the FJSP.Multi-population structure is used to independently evolve two sub-problems of the FJSP in the MSCGA.Good operators are adopted and designed to ensure this algorithm to achieve a good performance.Some famous FJSP benchmarks are chosen to evaluate the effectiveness of the MSCGA.The adaptability and superiority of the proposed method are demonstrated by comparing with other reported algorithms.WANG Cuiyu LI Yang LI Xinyu 2021Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2021,32,2:5

5Establishment of an optimized CTC detection model consisting of EpCAM,MUC1 and WT1 in epithelial ovarian cancer and its correlation with clinical characteristics显示文摘Objective:Emerging studies have demonstrated the promising clinical value of circulating tumor cells(CTCs)for diagnosis,disease assessment,treatment monitoring and prognosis in epithelial ovarian cancer.However,the clinical application of CTC remains restricted due to diverse detection techniques with variable sensitivity and specificity and a lack of common standards.Methods:We enrolled 160 patients with epithelial ovarian cancer as the experimental group,and 90 patients including 50 patients with benign ovarian tumor and 40 healthy females as the control group.We enriched CTCs with immunomagnetic beads targeting two epithelial cell surface antigens(EpCAM and MUC1),and used multiple reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)detecting three markers(EpCAM,MUC1 and WT1)for quantification.And then we used a binary logistic regression analysis and focused on EpCAM,MUC1 and WT1 to establish an optimized CTC detection model.Results:The sensitivity and specificity of the optimized model is 79.4%and 92.2%,respectively.The specificity of the CTC detection model is significantly higher than CA125(92.2%vs.82.2%,P=0.044),and the detection rate of CTCs was higher than the positive rate of CA125(74.5%vs.58.2%,P=0.069)in early-stage patients(stage I and II).The detection rate of CTCs was significantly higher in patients with ascitic volume≥500 mL,suboptimal cytoreductive surgery and elevated serum CA125 level after 2 courses of chemotherapy(P<0.05).The detection rate of CTC;and CTC;was significantly higher in chemo-resistant patients(26.3%vs.11.9%;26.4%vs.13.4%,P<0.05).The median progression-free survival time for CTC;patients trended to be longer than CTC;patients,and overall survival was shorter in CTC;patients(P=0.043).Conclusions:Our study presents an optimized detection model for CTCs,which consists of the expression levels of three markers(EpCAM,MUC1 and WT1).In comparison with CA125,our model has high specificity and demonstrates better diagnostic values,especially for early-stage ovarian cancer.Detection of CTC;and CTC;had predictive value for chemotherapy resistance,and the detection of CTC;suggested poor prognosis.Tongxia Wang Yan Gao Xi Wang Junrui Tian Yuan Li Bo Yu Cuiyu Huang Hui Li Huamao Liang David M.Irwin Huanran Tan Hongyan Guo 2022Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2022,34,2:2

9Insight into the underlying competitive mechanism for the shift of the charge neutrality point in a trilayer-graphene field-effect transistor显示文摘Layer-number modulation in graphene has become a recent focus of research due to the superior degree of freedom that can be achieved in terms of magic-angle,wettability,superconductivity,and superlattices.However,the intrinsic transport of multilayer graphene is indistinguishable in atmospheric adsorbates and supporting environment,and its underlying charge transfer mechanism has not yet been thoroughly determined.In this study,a shift in the charge neutrality point of trilayer graphene(TLG)is demonstrated to be regulated by three governing factors:oxygen gas(O_(2)),water molecules(H_(2)O),and thermally activated electrons.Absorbed O_(2) induces a high work function in semimetallic TLG,while H_(2)O is not an evident dopant but can strengthen binding against O_(2) desorption.A simplified model is developed to elucidate the competitive mechanism and charge transfer among these two dopants(O_(2),H_(2)O)and thermal electrons,and the model is demonstrated by work function regulation and Bader charge transfer based on density functional theory calculations.This study provides a strategy to explore transport modulation of multilayer graphene in the fields of ballistic transport and low power consumption of graphene field-effect transistors.Tao Huang Jiafen Ding Zirui Liu Rui Zhang BoLei Zhang Kai Xiong Longzhou Zhang Chong Wang Shili Shen Cuiyu Li Peng Yang Feng Qiu 2022eScience2022,2,3:1

11Necessary and Sufficient Conditions for Feasible Neighbourhood Solutions in the Local Search of the Job-Shop Scheduling Problem显示文摘The meta-heuristic algorithm with local search is an excellent choice for the job-shop scheduling problem(JSP).However,due to the unique nature of the JSP,local search may generate infeasible neighbourhood solutions.In the existing literature,although some domain knowledge of the JSP can be used to avoid infeasible solutions,the constraint conditions in this domain knowledge are sufficient but not necessary.It may lose many feasible solutions and make the local search inadequate.By analysing the causes of infeasible neighbourhood solutions,this paper further explores the domain knowledge contained in the JSP and proposes the sufficient and necessary constraint conditions to find all feasible neighbourhood solutions,allowing the local search to be carried out thoroughly.With the proposed conditions,a new neighbourhood structure is designed in this paper.Then,a fast calculation method for all feasible neighbourhood solutions is provided,significantly reducing the calculation time compared with ordinary methods.A set of standard benchmark instances is used to evaluate the performance of the proposed neighbourhood structure and calculation method.The experimental results show that the calculation method is effective,and the new neighbourhood structure has more reliability and superiority than the other famous and influential neighbourhood structures,where 90%of the results are the best compared with three other well-known neighbourhood structures.Finally,the result from a tabu search algorithm with the new neighbourhood structure is compared with the current best results,demonstrating the superiority of the proposed neighbourhood structure.Lin Gui Xinyu Li Liang Gao Cuiyu Wang 2023Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2023,36,4:0
12Single-Exosome Profiling Identifies ITGB3+and ITGAM+Exosome Subpopulations as Promising Early Diagnostic Biomarkers and Therapeutic Targets for Colorectal Cancer显示文摘Tumor metastasis is a hallmark of colorectal cancer(CRC),in which exosome plays a crucial role with its function in intercellular communication.Plasma exosomes were collected from healthy control(HC)donors,localized primary CRC and liver-metastatic CRC patients.We performed proximity barcoding assay(PBA)for single-exosome analysis,which enabled us to identify the alteration in exosome subpopulations associated with CRC progression.By in vitro and in vivo experiments,the biological impact of these subpopulations on cancer proliferation,migration,invasion,and metastasis was investigated.The potential application of exosomes as diagnostic biomarkers was evaluated in 2 independent validation cohorts by PBA.Twelve distinct exosome subpopulations were determined.We found 2 distinctly abundant subpopulations:one ITGB3-positive and the other ITGAM-positive.The ITGB3-positive cluster is rich in liver-metastatic CRC,compared to both HC group and primary CRC group.On the contrary,ITGAM-positive exosomes show a large-scale increase in plasma of HC group,compared to both primary CRC and metastatic CRC groups.Notably,both discovery cohort and validation cohort verified ITGB3+exosomes as potential diagnostic biomarker.ITGB3+exosomes promote proliferation,migration,and invasion capability of CRC.In contrast,ITGAM+exosomes suppress CRC development.Moreover,we also provide evidence that one of the sources of ITGAM+exosomes is macrophage.ITGB3+exosomes and ITGAM+exosomes are proven 2 potential diagnostic,prognostic,and therapeutic biomarkers for management of CRC.Wei Guo Yanling Cai Xianming Liu Yuge Ji Cuiyu Zhang Liyan Wang Wenting Liao Yuefei Liu Nan Cui Jinsheng Xiang Zesong Li Di Wu Jingxin Li 2023Research2023,,3:0
13Mathematical Modeling and a Multiswarm Collaborative Optimization Algorithm for Fuzzy Integrated Process Planning and Scheduling Problem显示文摘Considering both process planning and shop scheduling in manufacturing can fully utilize their complementarities,resulting in improved rationality of process routes and high-quality and efficient production. Hence,the study of Integrated Process Planning and Scheduling (IPPS) has become a hot topic in the current production field. However,when performing this integrated optimization,the uncertainty of processing time is a realistic key point that cannot be neglected. Thus,this paper investigates a Fuzzy IPPS (FIPPS) problem to minimize the maximum fuzzy completion time. Compared with the conventional IPPS problem,FIPPS considers the fuzzy process time in the uncertain production environment,which is more practical and realistic. However,it is difficult to solve the FIPPS problem due to the complicated fuzzy calculating rules. To solve this problem,this paper formulates a novel fuzzy mathematical model based on the process network graph and proposes a MultiSwarm Collaborative Optimization Algorithm (MSCOA) with an integrated encoding method to improve the optimization. Different swarms evolve in various directions and collaborate in a certain number of iterations. Moreover,the critical path searching method is introduced according to the triangular fuzzy number,allowing for the calculation of rules to enhance the local searching ability of MSCOA. The numerical experiments extended from the well-known Kim benchmark are conducted to test the performance of the proposed MSCOA. 15Tunnel-structured willemite Zn_(2)SiO_(4):Electronic structure,elastic,and thermal properties显示文摘Willemite Zn_(2)SiO_(4)crystallizes in such a way that Zn and Si are tetrahedrally coordinated with O in an ionic–covalent manner to form ZnO_(4)and SiO_(4)tetrahedra as the building units.The tetrahedra are corner-sharing,of which one SiO_(4)tetrahedron connects eight ZnO_(4)tetrahedra,and one ZnO_(4)tetrahedron links four ZnO_(4)tetrahedra and four SiO_(4)tetrahedra.The unique crystallographic configuration gives rise to parallel tunnels with a diameter of 5.7Åalong the c-axis direction.The tunnel structure of Zn_(2)SiO_(4)definitely correlates with its interesting elastic and thermal properties.On the one hand,the elastic modulus,coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE),and thermal conductivity are low.Zn_(2)SiO_(4)has low Vickers hardness of 6.6 GPa at 10 N and low thermal conductivity of 2.34 W/(m·K)at 1073 K.On the other hand,the elastic modulus and CTE along the c-axis are significantly larger than those along the a-and b-axes,showing obvious elastic and thermal expansion anisotropy.Specifically,the Young’s modulus along the z direction(Ez=179 GPa)is almost twice those in the x and y directions(Ex=Ey=93 GPa).The high thermal expansion anisotropy is ascribed to the empty tunnels along the c-axis,which are capable of more accommodating the thermal expansion along the a-and b-axes.The striking properties of Zn_(2)SiO_(4)in elastic modulus,hardness,CTE,and thermal conductivity make it much useful in various fields of ceramics,such as low thermal expansion,thermal insulation,and machining tools.Ruqiao DAI Renfei CHENG Jiemin WANG Chao ZHANG Cuiyu LI Hailong WANG Xiaohui WANG Yanchun ZHOU 2022Journal of Advanced Ceramics2022,11,8:0
16Atomic scale structural analysis of liquid immiscibility in binary silicate melt:A case of SiO2–TiO2 system显示文摘Thermodynamic/dynamic modeling of liquid immiscibility in silicates is seriously hindered due to lack of in situ investigation on the structural evolution of the melt.In this work,atomic-scale structural evolution of a classic binary silicate immiscible system,SiO2–TiO2,is tracked by in situ high energy X-ray diffraction(HE-XRD).It is found that both the configuration of[SiO]and the polymerization between them are closely coupled with embedment and extraction of the metallic cations(Ti^4+).[SiO]monomer goes through deficit-oxygen and excess-polymerization before liquid–liquid separation and enables self-healing after liquid–liquid separation,which challenges the traditional cognition that[SiO4]monomer is immutable.Ti4+cations with tetrahedral oxygen-coordination first participate in the network construction before liquid separation.The four-fold Ti–O bond is broken during liquid separation,which may facilitate the movement of Ti4+across the Si–O network to form TiO2-rich nodules.The structural features of nodules were also investigated and they were found highly analogous to that of molten TiO2,which implies a parallel crystallization behavior in the two circumstances.Our results shed light on the structural evolution scenario in liquid immiscibility at atomic scale,which will contribute to constructing a complete thermodynamic/dynamic framework describing the silicate liquid immiscibility systems beyond current models.Cuiyu Zhang Xuan Ge Qiaodan Hu Fan Yang Pingsheng Lai Caijuan Shi Wenquan Lu Jianguo Li 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,52,18:0
17Diverse functions of GmNLA1 members in controlling phosphorus homeostasis highlight coordinate response of soybean to nitrogen and phosphorus availability显示文摘Nitrogen(N) and phosphorus(P) are two essential mineral nutrients for plant growth,which are required in relative high amount in plants.Plants have evolved a series of strategies for coordinately acquiring and utilizing N and P.However,physiological and molecular mechanisms underlying of N and P interactions remain largely unclear in soybean(Glycine max).In this study,interactions of N and P were demonstrated in soybean as reflected by significant increases of phosphate(Pi) concentration in both leaves and roots by N deficiency under Pi sufficient conditions.A total of four nitrogen limitation adaptation(NLA),encoding RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase were subsequently identified in soybean genome.Among them,transcription of Gm NLA1-1 and Gm NLA1-3 was decreased in soybean by N starvation under Pi sufficient conditions,not for Gm NLA1-2.Suppression of all three Gm NLA1 members was able to increase Pi concentration regardless of the P and N availability in the growth medium,but decrease fresh weight under normal conditions in soybean hairy roots.However,comparted to changes in control lines at two N levels,N deficiency only resulted in a relatively higher increase of Pi concentration in Gm NLA1-1 or Gm NLA1-3 suppression lines,strongly indicating that Gm NLA1-1 and Gm NLA1-3 might regulate P homeostasis in soybean response to N starvation.Taken together,our result suggest that redundant and diverse functions present in Gm NLA1 members for soybean coordinate responses to P and N availability,which mediate P homeostasis.Ming Zhou Yaxue Li Xing Lu Panmin He Cuiyue Liang Jiang Tian 2023The Crop Journal2023,11,4:0
