| 1 | Calibration method of phase distortions for cross polarization channel of instantaneous polarization radar system显示文摘A novel polarimetric calibration method for new target property measurement radar system is presented.Its application in the real radar system is also discussed.The analysis indicates that instantaneous polarization radar(IPR) has inherent cross-polarization measurement error.The proposed method can effectively eliminate this error,and thus enhance the polarization scattering matrix(PSM) measurement precision.The phase error caused by digital receiver's direct IF sampling and mixing of two orthogonal polarization channels can be removed.Consequently,the inherent error of target polarization scattering measurement of the instantaneous polarization radar system is well revised.It has good reference value for further ploarimetric calibration and high practical application prospect. | Huanyao Dai Yuliang Chang Dahai Dai Yongzhen Li XuesongWang | 2010 | Journal of Systems Engineering and Electronics2010,21,2: | 7 |

| 3 | Review of Maritime Transportation Air Emission Pollution and Policy Analysis显示文摘The study of air emission in maritime transportation is new, and the recognition of its importance has been rising in the recent decade. The emissions of CO2, SO2, NO2 and particulate matters from maritime transportation have contributed to climate change and environmental degradation. Scientifically, analysts still have controversies regarding how to calculate the emissions and how to choose the baseline and methodologies. Three methods are generally used, namely the 'bottom up' approach, the 'top down' approach and the STEEM, which produce very different results, leading to various papers with great uncertainties. This, in turn, results in great difficulties to policy makers who attempt to regulate the emissions. A recent technique, the STEEM, is intended to combine the former two methods to reduce their drawbacks. However, the regulations based on its results may increase the costs of shipping companies and cause the competitiveness of the port states and coastal states. Quite a few papers have focused on this area and provided another fresh perspective for the air emission to be incorporated in maritime transportation regulations; these facts deserve more attention. This paper is to review the literature on the debates over air emission calculation, with particular attention given to the STEEM and the refined estimation methods. It also reviews related literature on the economic analysis of maritime transportation emission regulations, and provides an insight into such analysis. At the end of this paper, based on a review and analysis of previous literature, we conclude with the policy indications in the future and work that should be done. | 6 | Mathematical principle and characteristics of polarization transform显示文摘The precise definition of polarization transform is proposed from the viewpoint of polarization domain transform for the first time. The mathematical principle,char-acteristics and physical meanings of polarization transform are analyzed. Two typical kinds of polarization transforms which are called unitary matrix polarization transform (UMPT) and diagonal matrix polarization transform (DMPT) are put for-ward. The gain property and the change property of polarization state distance are presented in detail. Thereby,the concept of serial polarization transform is pro-posed. A general polarization transform can be realized by two steps: changing the location of polarization states in polarization domain by UMPT; and expanding or compressing the density of polarization states by DMPT. | 10 | Disposal methods for used passenger car tires: One of the fastest growing solid wastes in China显示文摘With the rapid growth in the number of passenger cars(PCs)in China over the past decades,more than ten million tons of used tires have already become solid wastes and subsequently caused serious environmental issues.Due to the presence of synthetic rubber in PC tires,waste PC tires cannot be disposed through rubber reclaiming technology.Thus,waste PC tires have become one of fastest growing solid wastes in China.First,the current disposal capacity of the pyrolysis method,regarded as a promising technology for the disposal of waste PC tires,is surveyed and compared with other disposal methods mentioned in previous papers.Second,this work establishes a model to predict the total number of waste PC tires in the next five years depending on the rate of PC growth and current waste tire disposal capacity.Moreover,pyrolysis is evaluated on 15 collected waste PC tires selected from the most representative tire brands in the Chinese market.The corresponding results imply that~68.5%of S was into oil and~44.3%N and large amount of heavy metals resided in solid carbon which severely limit further applications.Finally,a new pyrolysis technology is introduced that may represent a solution to the limits in the application of tire disposal methods and relief for the coming waste tire crisis. | Biaohua Chen Dahai Zheng Ruinian Xu Shuai Leng Lili Han Qianqian Zhang Ning Liu Chengna Dai Bin Wu Gangqiang Yu Jie Cheng | 2022 | Green Energy & Environment2022,7,6: | 0 |
