| 1 | Progresses in Sustainable Recycling Technology of Spent Lithium-Ion Batteries显示文摘The number of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)is steadily increasing in order to meet the ever-growing demand for sustainable energy and a high quality of life for humankind.At the same time,the resulting large number of LIB waste certainly poses safety hazards if it is not properly disposed of and will seriously harm the environment due to its inherent toxicity due to the use of toxic substances.Moreover,the consumption of many scarce precious metal resources is behind the mass production of batteries.In the light of severe environmental,resources,safety and recycling problems,recycling spent LIBs have become an essential urgently needed action to achieve sustainable social development.This review therefore critically analyses the value and the need for recycling of spent LIBs from a variety of resources and the environment.A range of existing technologies for recycling and reusing spent LIBs,such as pretreatment,pyrometallurgy,hydrometallurgy,and direct recycled methods,is subsequently summarized exclusively.In addition,the benefits and problems of the methods described above are analyzed in detail.It also introduces recycling progress of other LIB components,such as anodes,separators,and electrolytes,as well as the high-value cathode.Finally,the prospects for recycling LIBs are addressed in four ways(government,users,battery manufacturers,and recyclers).This review should contribute to the development of the recycling of used LIBs,particularly in support of industrialization and recycling processes. | Kaidi Du Edison Huixiang Ang Xinglong Wu Yichun Liu | 2022 | Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4: | 7 |

| 3 | A nomogram predicting clinical pregnancy in the first fresh embryo transfer for women undergoing in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI) treatments显示文摘The extent to which factors affect the probability of clinical pregnancy in the first fresh embryo transfer after assisted conception is unknown.In order to examine the predictors of clinical pregnancy,a retrospective cohort study was launched between January 1,2013 and December 31,2016 in four infertility clinics including 19837 in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI)fresh cycles with known outcomes and relevant records.A multivariable logistic regression was used to select the most significant predictors in the final nomogram for predicting clinical pregnancy.Furthermore,the model was validated by an independent validation set and the performance of the model was evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves along with the area under the ROC curve(AUC)and calibration plots.In a training set including 17854 participants,we identified that female age,tubal factor,number of embryos transferred,endometrial thickness and number of good-quality embryos were independent predictors for clinical pregnancy.We developed a nomogram using these five factors and the predictive ability was 0.66 for AUC(95%CI=0.64−0.68),which was independently validated in the validation set(AUC=0.66,95%CI=0.65−0.68).Our results show that some specific factors can be used to provide infertile couples with an accurate assessment of clinical pregnancy following assisted conception and facilitate to guide couples and clinicians. | Fang Wu Feng Liu Yichun Guan Jiangbo Du Jichun Tan Hong Lv Qun Lu Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Kun Zhou Yankai Xia Xinru Wang Hongbing Shen Xiufeng Ling Feiyang Diao Zhibin Hu Guangfu Jin | 2019 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2019,33,6: | 1 |

| 8 | Influence of phosphate on deposition and detachment of TiO2 nanoparticles in soil显示文摘The widespread use of TiO2 nanoparticles (NPs) makes inevitable their release into the soil. Phosphate is also widespread within soil, and is likely copresent with TiO2 NPs. However, the influence of phosphate on deposition/release— and thereby on transport— of TiO2 NPs in soil is yet to be elucidated. In this study we conducted saturated column experiments to systematically examine the transport of TiO2 NPs in soil amended with phosphate at different ionic strengths (ISs) (1, 10, 100 mmol/L NaCl) and pHs (4 and 9). Results show that the deposition of TiO2 NPs decreased with decreasing IS, increasing pH, and when soil absorbed phosphate. These observations are qualitatively in agreement with Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek (DLVO) interaction energy calculations, because the repulsive energy barrier is larger and secondary minimum depth is smaller at a lower IS, higher pH, and in the presence of phosphate. Accordingly, both primary- and secondary-minimum deposition were inhibited. Interestingly, although the deposition was less at higher pH and in the presence of phosphate, the subsequent spontaneous detachment and detachment by reduction of solution IS in these cases were greater. In addition, the presence of phosphate in the solution can cause a small quantity of attached TiO2 NPs to detach, even without perturbations of physical and chemical conditions.
