| 1 | Neoadjuvant chemotherapy for locally advanced cervical cancer显示文摘Neoadjuvant chemotherapy followed by surgery(NCS) has not been fully evaluated clinically. Currently, the main regimen of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(NAC) used in NCS includes cisplatin. The antitumor effects of NAC reduce lymph node metastasis and the tumor diameter in patients prior to surgery, and this can reduce the number of high risk patients who require postoperative radiation therapy. Many randomized controlled trials(RCTs) have examined the long-term prognosis of NCS compared to primary surgery, but the utility of NCS remains uncertain. The advent of concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT) has markedly improved the outcome of radiotherapy(RT), and CCRT is now used as a standard method in many cases of advanced bulky cervical cancer. | 3 | Attenuation and Distortion of Compression Waves Propagating in Very Long Tube显示文摘A lot of phenomena related to propagating various waves are seen when the high-speed train goes through the tunnel,the gas pipeline is broken due to an accident or the air brake of the wagon operates.For instance,a compression wave generated ahead of a high-speed train entering a tunnel propagates to the tunnel exit and spouts as a micro pressure wave,which causes an exploding sound.In order to estimate the magnitude correctly,the mechanism of the attenuation and distortion of a compression wave propagating along a very long tunnel must be understood and the experimental information on these phenomena is required.An experimental investigation is carried out to clarify the attenuation and distortion of the propagating compression wave in a very long tube.Experimental results show that the strength of a compression wave decreases with distance.The attenuation and distortion of compression waves are affected by the initial waveform of the compression wave and by the unsteady boundary layer induced by the propagating wave.The shape of a compression wave becomes different with the propagating distance;that is,a shock wave appears just head of a wavefront and an overshoot on pressure distribution is observed behind a shock wave due to the transition of the unsteady boundary layer. | Shinya NAKAMURA Daisuke SASA Toshiyuki AOKI | 2011 | Journal of Thermal Science2011，20，1： | 2 |
| 4 | Mechanophore activation enhanced by hydrogen bonding of diarylurea motifs:An efficient supramolecular force-transducing system显示文摘Macromolecules are efficient as mechanical transducers for mechanically induced chemical bond cleavage reactions.Although various classes of polymers have been studied as effective mechanical-force transducers for mechanophores,alternatives to polymer chains,that is,small molecules,have rarely been studied.In this paper,the role of hydrogen bonding as small-molecule mechanical-force transducers for the activation of mechano-responsive molecular units(mechanophores)in the bulk is investigated.The introduction of diarylurea linkage motifs,which are known as strong hydrogen bonding groups,enhances the mechanochemical activation of the fluorescent mechanophore tetraarylsuccinonitrile(TASN)as effectively as the attachment of a typical macromolecular transducer.Electron paramagnetic resonance measurements of mechanically activated TASN with diphenyl urea motifs demonstrate its higher carbon–carbon bond dissociation ratio compared to that of TASN without diphenyl urea motifs.This efficient supramolecular-forcetransducing system represents a new concept in the field of mechanochemistry,namely,the enhancement of mechanochemical bond scission by simply changing the substituents of a mechanophore,even in small molecules. | Jumpei Kida Daisuke Aoki Hideyuki Otsuka | 2021 | Aggregate2021，2，3： | 1 |

| 18 | Eustachian tube involvement in a patient with relapsing polychondritis detected by magnetic resonance imaging:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND Relapsing polychondritis(RP)is a rare inflammatory disease involving the systemic cartilage,such as the auricle,trachea,and bronchiole,among others.A patient with RP shows variable symptoms based on the involved cartilage.CASE SUMMARY A 72-year-old Japanese woman with a history of redness of the bilateral auricles for 3 d was referred to a clinician.The clinician prescribed antibiotics to the patient;however,the symptoms worsened;thus,she was referred to our hospital.Head and neck magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)showed edematous auricle with remarkable contrast,fluid collection in the bilateral mastoid cells,suggesting otitis media.The eustachian tube(ET)on the right side was also edematous with contrast enhancement.The patient was suspected of RP according to the diagnostic criteria.A biopsy of the auricular cartilage was performed by an otorhinolaryngologist,confirming pathological proof of RP.Treatments with steroids were immediately administered thereafter.CONCLUSION We highlight a rare case of RP with radiologically confirmed involvement of ET in the MRI. | Daisuke Yunaiyama Akiko Aoki Hiroshi Kobayashi Miwako Someya Mitsuru Okubo Kazuhiro Saito | 2022 | World Journal of Clinical Cases2022，10，4： | 0 |
