| 1 | Multi-Bit Sliding Stack Decoding Algorithm for OVXDM显示文摘Overlapped x domain multiplexing(OVXDM) is a promising encoding technique to obtain high spectral efficiency by utilizing inter-symbol interference(ISI) intelligently. However, the computational complexity of maximum likelihood sequence detection(MLSD) increases exponentially with the growth of spectral efficiency in OVXDM, which is unbearable for practical implementations. In this paper, based on a novel path metric associating adjacent symbols, we propose a multi-bit sliding stack decoding(Multi-Bit SSD) algorithm to achieve multiple-bit decoding simultaneously in OVXDM. Theoretical analysis is provided for the algorithm, which indicates the relationship between the performance and parameters including multiplexing waveform, overlapping fold and sliding window size. | 2 | Transmissible hypovirulent element in isolate Ep-1PN of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum显示文摘The cause of virulence decline of hypovirulent isolate Ep-1PN of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary has been studied through transmitting test and analysing its offsprings derived from single ascospore. When the colony of a normal strain Ep-1PNA 183 intermingled with the colony of Ep-1PN, its margin became abnormal, just like Ep-1PN. Cultures isolated from top-tip of the colony of Ep-1PNA 183 showed the hypovirulence and its associated properties of Ep-1PN. Moreover, a series of cultures which have characteristics between Ep-1PN and normal strain could be isolated from stipes of Ep-1PN. More than 200 offsprings derived from single ascospore of Ep-1PN were normal strains. | 9 | The highly conducting carbon electrodes derived from spin-coated polyacrylonitrile films显示文摘Carbon films prepared from pyrolyzation of spin-casted polyacrylonitrile (PAN) thin films display high electrical conductivity (>600 S/cm, at 1000 °C carbonization), low sheet resistance (about 100 Ω/square at the PAN film thickness of 70 nm) and partial transmittance. These pyrolyzed PAN (PPAN) films were patterned as bottom electrodes by photolithography, and utilized as drain and source electrodes to fabricate organic field-effect transistor (OFET) devices with a p-type semiconductor (P3HT) and an n-type semiconductor (DPP-containing quinoidal small molecule) through a spin-coating procedure. The results showed that the devices with the PAN electrodes exhibited almost the same excellent performance without any further modification compared to those devices with traditional Au electrodes. | 13 | Unexpected Photocatalytic Degeneration of NAD^(+) for Inducing Apoptosis of Hypoxia Cancer Cells显示文摘Developing customized chemical reactions that could regulate a specific biological process on demand is regarded as an advanced and promising strategy for treating diseases.However,conventional chemical reactions become challenging in complex physiological environments,which demand mild reaction conditions,high efficiency,good biocompatibility,and strong controllability.Moreover,the effects of the achieved reactions on the real biological system are usually further lessened.Herein,we describe an advanced photocatalytic reaction that irreversibly converted nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)to nicotinamide and adenosine diphosphate(ADP)-ribose by the cationic conjugated poly(fluorene-co-phenylene)(PFP).This reaction was introduced to tumor cells and triggered cell apoptosis.Under white-light illumination,the photocatalytic reaction decreased the NAD+ratio in tumor cells,disrupted the mitochondrial membrane potential,inhibited the synthesis of adenosine triphosphate(ATP),and effectively induced apoptosis.We propose a mechanism of the reaction where PFP is photoexcited to PFP*,and the obtained photoelectrons are transferred from PFP*to NAD+to produce nicotinamide and another unstable intermediate,ADP-ribosyl radical.ADP-ribosyl radical quickly reacts with triethanolamine to form ADP-ribose.This intracellular utilization of a specific photocatalytic reaction could offer a new approach to affect biological function for efficient cancer treatment. | Shengpeng Xia Haotian Bai Endong Zhang Wen Yu Zhiqiang Gao Fengting Lv Yiming Huang Daoben Zhu Shu Wang | 2023 | CCS Chemistry2023,5,10: | 0 |
| 14 | Thymine and adenine derivatives with pyrene, tetrathiafulvalene and nitronyl nitroxide units: Synthesis and formation of ensembles sensing thymine and adenine molecules显示文摘Four thymine (T) and adenine (A) de- rivatives with pyrene, tetrathiafulvalene and nitronyl nitroxide units (1, 2, 3 and 4) were synthesized and characterized. Fluorescent spectral studies indicate that the corresponding T and A derivatives can form ensembles with the association constant of ca. 104 L/mol. The ensemble of 1 and 2 shows pyrene exci- mer emission, while that of 1/3 and 2/4 displays rather weak fluorescence due to the “intramolecular” photoinduced electron transfer reactions. Addition of compounds 5 or 6, which is T and A derivatives, re- spectively, to the ensembles of 1/2, 1/3 and 2/4 re- sults in reduction of excimer emission and en- hancement of pyrene fluorescence. These criterions are not advantageous not only in operation but also in performance. With classifying the error events of STTC, a new criterion was presented on slow Rayleigh fading channels. Based on the criterion, an effective and straightforward multi-step method is proposed to construct codes with better performance. This method can reduce the computation of search to small enough.
