1Typhoon disaster zoning and prevention criteria——A double layer nested multi-objective probability model and its application显示文摘For prevention and mitigation of typhoon disasters in China, in this paper a double layer nested multi-objective probability model of typhoon disaster zoning and prevention criteria is proposed. The multivariate compound extreme value distribution (MCEVD) is used to predict the joint probability of seven typhoon characteristics and corresponding typhoon induced disasters. 2Experimental and numerical studies of impact on filament-wound composite cylinder显示文摘This study focused on the impact behavior of carbon-fiber-wrapped composite cylinders subjected to impact from flat-ended,hemispherical-nosed and conical-nosed impactors.Damage morphologies of the cylinders and mechanisms of the damage were analyzed.Change laws of the maximum impact forces,durations of impact processes and energies absorbed by the cylinders after impact with different impactors and impact energies were obtained.A finite element model was developed and the simulation results were in reasonable agreement with the tests.Finally,taking the flat-ended impactor as an example,stress distributions of the cylinders under pressurization and impact were discussed.Qiaoguo Wu Xuedong Chen Zhichao Fan Yong Jiang Defu Nie 2017Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2017,30,5:2
3On the effect of injection of gas in the numerical simulation of accretion flows显示文摘We investigate the effects of various ways of injection of gas at the outer boundary in the numerical simulations of non-viscous accretion flows.We study three models.In Model A,we inject material around the equatorial plane.In Models B and C,fullrange θ injection is used(we employ spherical coordinates).In all three models,the injected material has the same density distribution with polar angle θ.From the equatorial region to the polar regions,angular momentum of the injected material of Model B decreases faster than that in Model C.For all of the models,after a transient episode of infall at the beginning of the simulations,the gas piles up in the equatorial regions outside the black hole and forms a thick torus bounded by a centrifugal barrier.We find that the accretion rates of Models B and C are more than ten times higher than that in Model A.In Model A,there is weak accretion only in the torus and outflows are found on the surface of the torus.In Model B,we find strong inflows on the surface of its torus,and the accretion in the torus is weak.In Model C,strong inflows also occur on the surface of its torus,but the accretion regions are narrower and there are strong outflows in its torus.In all of our models,the time-averaged density,pressure and angular momentum in the equatorial region can be described by a radial power law,with P ∝r-3/2,P ∝r-2 and l∝r0.BU DeFu,YUAN Feng,WU MaoChun & YANG XiaoHong Key Laboratory for Research in Galaxies and Cosmology,Shanghai Astronomical Observatory,Chinese Academy of Sciences,Shanghai 200030,China 2010Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2010,53,S1:1
4The decoupling between gas exchange and water potential of Cinnamomum camphora seedlings during drought recovery and its relation to ABA accumulation in leaves显示文摘气候变化将改变降雨格局,从而导致极端干旱事件增多。然而,树木如何协调生理和生化响应来应对干旱-恢复的机制仍不清楚。本研究探讨了干旱-恢复过程中树木生理与生化特征的耦联关系。我们首先将香樟(Cinnamomum camphora)盆栽幼苗种植在水分充足的条件下,然后通过停止浇水以达到干旱处理的目的。当幼苗胁迫至轻度干旱(气孔关闭)和中度干旱(ψxylem=−1.5 MPa)时,分别对其进行复水处理。在干旱及复水4天过程中,我们测定了香樟叶片水势、气体交换、脱落酸以及非结构性碳水化合物的变化规律。我们发现干旱强度在很大程度上决定了香樟的生理与生化响应,并影响其干旱后恢复。轻度干旱导致气孔关闭,并引起叶片脱落酸累积和水势下降,而中度干旱可进一步引起叶片脯氨酸累积和非结构性碳水化合物的变化。干旱强度的增加会导致气体交换恢复滞后,但对水势的恢复无显著影响。另外,干旱与复水过程中水势与气体交换之间的关系存在较大差异:即干旱过程中水势与气体交换存在很强的耦联关系,而这种耦联关系在复水过程中并不存在,其主要原因是由于叶片脱落酸累积,从而延缓了气孔导度的恢复。综上,本研究结果表明,脱落酸可能是导致香樟旱后气孔导度恢复滞后的主要影响因素。此外,干旱强度对树木生理和生化的恢复具有显著影响。Honglang Duan Defu Wang Xiaohua Wei Guomin Huang Houbao Fan Shuangxi Zhou Jianping Wu Wenfei Liu David TTissue Songze Wan 2020Journal of Plant Ecology2020,13,6:1

17Intravitreal brimonidine inhibits formdeprivation myopia in guinea pigs显示文摘Background:The use of ocular hypotensive drugs has been reported to attenuate myopia progression.This study explores whether brimonidine can slow myopia progression in the guinea pig form-deprivation(FD)model.Methods:Three-week-old pigmented male guinea pigs(Cavia porcellus)underwent monocular FD and were treated with 3 different methods of brimonidine administration(eye drops,subconjunctival or intravitreal injections).Four different concentrations of brimonidine were tested for intravitreal injection(2μg/μL,4μg/μL,20μg/μL,40μg/μL).All treatments continued for a period of 21 days.Tonometry,retinoscopy,and A-scan ultrasonography were used to monitor intraocular pressure(IOP),refractive error and axial length(AL),respectively.On day 21,guinea pigs were sacrificed for RNA sequencing(RNA-seq)to screen for associated transcriptomic changes.Results:The myopia model was successfully established in FD animals(control eye vs.FD eye,respectively:refraction at day 20,0.97±0.18 D vs.−0.13±0.38 D,F=6.921,P=0.02;AL difference between day 0 and day 21,0.29±0.04mm vs.0.45±0.03 mm,F=11.655,P=0.004).Among the 3 different brimonidine administration methods,intravitreal injection was the most effective in slowing myopia progression,and 4μg/μL was the most effective among the four different concentrations of brimonidine intravitreal injection tested.The AL and the refraction of the brimonidine intravitreal injection group was significantly shorter or more hyperopic than those of other 2 groups.Fourμg/μL produced the smallest difference in AL and spherical equivalent difference values.FD treatment significantly increased the IOP.IOP was significantly lower at 1 day after intravitreal injections which was the lowest in FD eye of intravitreal injection of brimonidine.At day 21,gene expression analyses using RNA-seq showed upregulation of Col1a1 and Mmp2 expression levels by intravitreal brimonidine.Conclusions:Among the 3 different administration methods,intravitreal injection of brimonidine was the most effective in slowing myopia progression in the FD guinea pig model.Intravitreal brimonidine at 4μg/μL significantly reduced the development of FD myopia in guinea pigs.Expression levels of the Col1a1 and Mmp2 genes were significantly increased in the retinal tissues of the FD-Inj-Br group.Yifang Yang Junshu Wu Defu Wu Qi Wei Tan Zhong Jun Yang Xiaowei Yang Meizhen Zeng Xingwu Zhong 2023Eye and Vision2023,9,5:0
18Output performance optimization for RTD fluxgate sensor based on dynamic permeability显示文摘The output performance of residence times difference(RTD) fluxgate may vary under different driving conditions(driving currents and frequencies) and core materials. To optimize the RTD fluxgate and simplify its design process, an analytical model is employed to select the parameters and identify the effective factors that dominate the performance. The dynamic permeability parameters(Pi), which reflect the changes in the magnetization curve, are mathematically analyzed in detail. The linear variation functions of Pi in different driving conditions are fitted by using the dynamic arctangent hysteresis model. 19Comparative analysis on gas–solid drag models in MFIX-DEM simulations of bubbling fluidized bed显示文摘In this study,the open-source software MFIX-DEM simulations of a bubbling fluidized bed(BFB)are applied to assess nine drag models according to experimental and direct numerical simulation(DNS)results.The influence of superficial gas velocity on gas–solid flow is also examined.The results show that according to the distribution of time-averaged particle axial velocity in y direction,except for Wen–Yu and Tenneti–Garg–Subramaniam(TGS),other drag models are consistent with the experimental and DNS results.For the TGS drag model,the layer-by-layer movement of particles is observed,which indicates the particle velocity is not correctly predicted.The time domain and frequency domain analysis results of pressure drop of each drag model are similar.It is recommended to use the drag model derived from DNS or fine grid computational fluid dynamics–discrete element method(CFD-DEM)data first for CFD-DEM simulations.For the investigated BFB,the superficial gas velocity less than 0.9 m·s^(-1) should be adopted to obtain normal hydrodynamics.Ruiyu Li Xiaole Huang Yuhao Wu Lingxiao Dong Srdjan Beloševic Aleksandar Milicevic Ivan Tomanovic Lei Deng Defu Che 2023Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2023,64,12:0
