1Gearbox Fault Diagnosis using Adaptive Zero Phase Time-varying Filter Based on Multi-scale Chirplet Sparse Signal Decomposition显示文摘When used for separating multi-component non-stationary signals, the adaptive time-varying filter(ATF) based on multi-scale chirplet sparse signal decomposition(MCSSD) generates phase shift and signal distortion. To overcome this drawback, the zero phase filter is introduced to the mentioned filter, and a fault diagnosis method for speed-changing gearbox is proposed. Firstly, the gear meshing frequency of each gearbox is estimated by chirplet path pursuit. Then, according to the estimated gear meshing frequencies, an adaptive zero phase time-varying filter(AZPTF) is designed to filter the original signal. Finally, the basis for fault diagnosis is acquired by the envelope order analysis to the filtered signal. The signal consisting of two time-varying amplitude modulation and frequency modulation(AM-FM) signals is respectively analyzed by ATF and AZPTF based on MCSSD. The simulation results show the variances between the original signals and the filtered signals yielded by AZPTF based on MCSSD are 13.67 and 41.14, which are far less than variances (323.45 and 482.86) between the original signals and the filtered signals obtained by ATF based on MCSSD. The experiment results on the vibration signals of gearboxes indicate that the vibration signals of the two speed-changing gearboxes installed on one foundation bed can be separated by AZPTF effectively. Based on the demodulation information of the vibration signal of each gearbox, the fault diagnosis can be implemented. 2An integrated chemical mass balance and source emission inventory model for the source apportionment of PM2.5 in typical coastal areas显示文摘The source apportionment of PM2.5 is essential for pollution prevention.In view of the weaknesses of individual models,we proposed an integrated chemical mass balancesource emission inventory(CMB-SEI)model to acquire more accurate results.First,the SEI of secondary component precursors(SO2,NOx,NH3,and VOCs)was compiled to acquire the emission ratios of these sources for the precursors.Then,a regular CMB simulation was executed to obtain the contributions of primary particle sources and secondary components(SO4^2-,NO3^-3,NH4^+,and SOC).Afterwards,the contributions of secondary components were apportioned into primary sources according to the source emission ratios.The final source apportionment results combined the contributions of primary sources by CMB and SEI.This integrated approach was carried out via a case study of three coastal cities(Zhoushan,Taizhou,and Wenzhou;abbreviated WZ,TZ,and ZS)in Zhejiang Province,China.The regular CMB simulation results showed that PM2.5 pollution was mainly affected by secondary components and mobile sources.The SEI results indicated that electricity,industrial production and mobile sources were the largest contributors to the emission of PM2.5 gaseous precursors.The simulation results of the CMB-SEI model showed that PM2.5 pollution in the coastal areas of Zhejiang Province presented complex pollution characteristics dominated by mobile sources,electricity production sources and industrial production sources.Compared to the results of the CMB and SEI models alone,the CMB-SEI model completely apportioned PM2.5 to primary sources and simultaneously made the results more accurate and reliable in accordance with local industrial characteristics.Nana Cheng Cheng Zhang Deji Jing Wei Li Tianjiao Guo Qiaoli Wang Sujing Li 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,6:8
3Elevating H3K27me3 level sensitizes colorectal cancer to oxaliplatin显示文摘Histone methylation is a context-dependent modification that regulates gene expression,and the trimethylation of histone H3 lysine 27(H3K27me3)usually induces gene silencing.Overcoming colorectal cancer(CRC)chemoresistance is currently a huge challenge,but the relationship between H3K27me3 modification and chemoresistance remains largely unclear.Here,we found that H3K27me3 levels positively correlated with the metastasis-free survival of CRC patients and a low H3K27me3 level predicted a poor outcome upon chemotherapeutic drug treatment.Oxaliplatin stimulation significantly induced the expression of H3K27 lysine demethylase 6A/6B(KDM6A/6B),thus decreasing the level of H3K27me3 in CRC cells.Elevation of H3K27me3 level through KDM6A/6B depletion or GSK-J4(a KDM6A/6B inhibitor)treatment significantly enhanced oxaliplatin-induced apoptosis.Conversely,when inhibiting the expression of H3K27me3 by EPZ-6438,an inhibitor of the histone methyltransferase EZH2,the proportion of apoptotic cells remarkably decreased.In addition,the combination of GSK-J4 and oxaliplatin significantly inhibited tumor growth in an oxaliplatin-resistant patient-derived xenograft model.Importantly,we revealed that oxaliplatin treatment dramatically induced NOTCH2 expression,which was caused by downregulation of H3K27me3 level on the NOTCH2 transcription initiation site.Thus,the activated NOTCH signaling promoted the expression of stemness-related genes,which resulted in oxaliplatin resistance.Furthermore,oxaliplatin-induced NOTCH signaling could be interrupted by GSK-J4 treatment.Collectively,our findings suggest that elevating H3K27me3 level can improve drug sensitivity in CRC patients.Qi Wang Xi Chen Yuhang Jiang Sanhong Liu Hanshao Liu Xiaohua Sun Haohao Zhang Zhi Liu Yu Tao Cuifeng Li Yiming Hu Dandan Liu Deji Ye Yongzhong Liu Mingliang Wang Xiaoren Zhang 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,2:6

5Soft Open Point Planning in Renewable-dominated Distribution Grids with Building Thermal Storage显示文摘With an increasing integration of intermittent distributed energy resources(DERs),the consequent voltage excursion and thermal overloading issues limit the self-sufficiency of distribution networks(DNs).The concept of soft open point(SOP)has been proposed as a promising solution to improve the hosting capacity of DNs.In this paper,considering the ability of building thermal storage(BTS)to increase the penetration of renewable energy in DNs,we provide an optimal planning framework for SOP and DER.The optimal planning model is aimed at minimizing the investment and operational costs while respecting various constraints,including the self-sufficiency requirement of the DN,SOP,building thermal storage capacity and DER operations,etc.A steady-state SOP model is formulated and linearized to be incorporated into the planning framework.To make full use of the BTS flexibility provided by ubiquitous buildings,a differential equation model for building thermal dynamics is formulated.A hybrid stochastic/robust optimization approach is adopted to depict the uncertainties in renewable energy and market prices.IEEE 33-bus feeder and a realistic DN in the metropolitan area of Caracas are tested to validate the effectiveness of the proposed framework and method.Case studies show that SOP/BTS plays a complementary and coordinated coupling role in the thermo-electric system,thereby effectively improving the hosting capacity and self-sufficiency of DNs.Tiance Zhang Jianxiao Wang Haiwang Zhong Gengyin Li Ming Zhou Dejie Zhao 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,1:3
6Correlation of DNA methylation patterns to the phenotypic features of Tibetan elite alpinists in extreme hypoxia显示文摘High altitude is an extreme environment that imposes hypoxic pressure on physiological processes,and natives living at high altitudes are more adaptive in certain physiological processes.So far,epigenetic modifications under extreme changes in hypoxic pressures are relatively less understood.Here,we recruit 32 Tibetan elite alpinists(TEAs),who have successfully mounted Everest(8848 m)at least five times.Blood samples and physiological phenotypes of TEAs and 32 matched non-alpinist Tibetan volunteers(non-TEAs)are collected for analysis.Genome-wide DNA methylation analysis identifies 23,202 differentially methylated CpGs(P_(adj)<0.05,|β|>0.1)between the two groups.Some differentially methylated CpGs are in hypoxia-related genes such as PPP1R13L,MAP3K7CL,SEPTI-9,and CUL2.In addition,Gene ontology enrichment analysis reveals several inflammation-related pathways.Phenotypic analysis indicates that 12 phenotypes are significantly different between the two groups.In particular,TEAs exhibit higher blood oxygen saturation levels and lower neutrophil count,platelet count,and heart rate.For DNA methylation association analysis,we find that two CpGs(cg16687447,cg06947206)upstream of PTEN were associated with platelet count.In conclusion,extreme hypoxia exposure leads to epigenetic modifications and phenotypic alterations of TEA,providing us clues for exploring the molecular mechanism underlying changes under extreme hypoxia conditions.Zhuoma Basang Shixuan Zhang La Yang Deji Quzong Yi Li Yanyun Ma Meng Hao WeiLin Pu Xiaoyu Liu Hongjun Xie Meng Liang Jiucun Wang Qiangba Danzeng 2021Journal of Genetics and Genomics2021,48,10:2

9Chemical-sensitive graphene modulator with a memory effect for internet-of-things applications显示文摘Modern internet of things(IoTs)and ubiquitous sensor networks could potentially take advantage of chemically sensitive nanomaterials and nanostructures.However,their heterogeneous integration with other electronic modules on a networked sensor node,such as silicon-based modulators and memories,is inherently challenging because of compatibility and integration issues.Here we report a novel paradigm for sensing modulators:a graphene field-effect transistor device that directly modulates a radio frequency(RF)electrical carrier signal when exposed to chemical agents,with a memory effect in its electrochemical history.We demonstrated the concept and implementation of this graphene-based sensing modulator through a frequency-modulation(FM)experiment conducted in a modulation cycle consisting of alternating phases of air exposure and ethanol or water treatment.In addition,we observed an analog memory effect in terms of the charge neutrality point of the graphene,Vcnp,which strongly influences the FM results,and developed a calibration method using electrochemical gate-voltage pulse sequences.This graphenebased multifunctional device shows great potential for use in a simple,low-cost,and ultracompact nanomaterial-based nodal architecture to enable continuous,real-time event-based monitoring in pervasive healthcare IoTs,ubiquitous security systems,and other chemical/molecular/gas monitoring applications.Haiyu Huang Li Tao Fei Liu Li Ji Ye Hu Mark Ming-Cheng Cheng Pai-Yen Chen Deji Akinwande 2016Microsystems & Nanoengineering2016,2,1:1
