1Prevalence of Opportunistic Pathogens and Diversity of Microbial Communities in the Water System of a Pulmonary Hospital显示文摘Objective Our objective was to investigate the occurrence of opportunistic pathogens and characterize the bacterial community structures in the water system of a pulmonary hospital.Methods The water samples were collected from automatic and manual faucets in the consulting room,treatment room,dressing room,respiratory ward,and other non-medical rooms in three buildings of the hospital.Quantitative polymerase chain reaction was used to quantify the load of several waterborne opportunistic pathogens and related microorganisms,including Legionella spp.,Mycobacterium spp.,and M.avium.Illumina sequencing targeting 16 S r RNA genes was performed to profile bacterial communities.Results The occurrence rates of Legionella spp.,Mycobacterium spp.,and M.avium were 100%,100%,and 76%,respectively in all samples.Higher occurrence rates of M.avium were observed in the outpatient service building(building 1,91.7%)and respiration department and wards(building 2,80%)than in the office building(building 3),where no M.avium was found.M.avium were more abundant in automatic faucets(average 2.21×10~4 gene copies/L)than in manual faucets(average 1.03×10~4 gene copies/m L)(P<0.01).Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,Bacteroidetes,Cyanobacteria,Firmicutes,and Acidobacteria were the dominant bacterial phyla.Disinfectant residuals,nitrate,and temperature were found to be the key environmental factors driving microbial community structure shifts in water systems.Conclusion This study revealed a high level of colonization of water faucets by opportunistic pathogens and provided insight into the characteristics of microbial communities in a hospital water system and approaches to reduce risks of microbial contamination.TANG Wei MAO Yu LI Qiu Yan MENG Die CHEN Ling WANG Hong ZHU Ren ZHANG Wei Xian 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,4:3

4Synthesis,nematicidal evaluation,and SAR study of benzofuran derivatives containing 2-carbonyl thiophene显示文摘Plant-parasitic nematodes are major threat for crop protection.The lack of nematicides with new mode of action and increasing resistance raises the need for novel nematicides.In order to seek new nematicidal lead,originating from the structure of chalcone,a series of fused ring compounds was obtained by ring closure design strategy.These compounds were modified further.The nematicidal activity against M.incognita of synthesized compounds was evaluated.The bioassay showed that compound 3 and some of its derivatives such as compounds 18,19,21,22,23,24 and 26 exhibited excellent nematicidal activity.Among them,compound 23 exhibited significant bioactivity.The LC50/72 hvalue reached 3.20 mg/L in vitro and the inhibition rate was 100.00%at 40 mg/L in the matrix.The structure-activity relationship of synthesized compounds was discussed in details.The influence of compound 23 on egg hatching,motility,and feeding behavior of C.elegans was also evaluated.Xiaofeng Cao Die Qiu Ruifeng Zhang Zhong Li Xiaoyong Xu 2023Chinese Chemical Letters2023,34,5:0
5Knowledge Graph for Identifying Geological Disasters by Integrating Computer Vision with Ontology显示文摘The occurrence of geological disasters can have a large impact on urban safety. Protecting people’s safety is the most important concern when disasters occur. Safety improvement requires a large amount of comprehensive and representative risk analysis and a large collection of information related to geological hazards, including unstructured knowledge and experience. To address the relevant information and support safety risk analysis, a geological hazard knowledge graph is developed automatically based on computer vision and domain-geoscience ontology to identify geological hazards from input images while obeying safety rules and regulations, even when affected by changes. In the implementation of the knowledge graph, we design an ontology schema of geological disasters based on a top-down approach, and by organizing knowledge as a logical semantic expression, it can be shared using ontology technologies and therefore enable semantic interoperability. Computer vision approaches are then used to automatically detect a set of entities and attributes, using the data from input images, and object types and their attributes are identified so that they can be stored in Neo4j for reasoning and searching. Finally, a reasoning model for geological hazard identification was developed using the Neo4j database to create nodes, relationships, and their properties for modeling, and geological hazards in the images can be automatically identified by searching the Neo4j database. An application on geological hazard is presented.
