1Emission reduction characteristics of a catalyzed continuously regenerating trap after-treatment system and its durability performance显示文摘The primary purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of a catalyzed continuously regenerating trap(CCRT)system composed of a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC)and a catalyzed diesel particulate filter(CDPF)on the main gaseous and particulate emissions from an urban diesel bus,as well as the durability performance of the CCRT system.Experiments were conducted based on a heavy chassis dynamometer,and a laboratory activity test as well as X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)test were applied to evaluate the changes of the aged CCRT catalyst.Results showed that the CCRT could reduce the CO by 71.5%and the total hydrocarbons(THC)by 88.9%,and meanwhile promote the oxidation of NO.However,the conversion rates for CO and THC dropped to 25.1%and 55.1%,respectively,after the CCRT was used for one year(~60,000 km),and the NO oxidation was also weakened.For particulate emissions,the CCRT could reduce 97.4%of the particle mass(PM)and almost 100%of the particle number(PN).The aging of the CCRT resulted in a reduced PM trapping efficiency but had no observable effect on the PN;however,it increased the proportion of nucleation mode particles.The activity test results indicated that the deterioration of the CCRT was directly relevant to the increase in the light-off temperatures of the catalyst for CO,C3H8 and NO2.In addition,the decreased concentrations of the active components Pt2+ and Pt4+ in the catalyst are also important factors in the CCRT deterioration.Yunhua Zhang Diming Lou Piqiang Tan Zhiyuan Hu Hu Li 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,10:2
2Effect of catalyzed diesel particulate filter and its catalyst loading on emission characteristics of a non-road diesel engine显示文摘In this study, the effects of a diesel oxidation catalyst(DOC) coupled with a catalyzed diesel particulate filter(CDPF) with different catalyst loadings on the power, fuel consumption,gaseous and particulate emissions from a non-road diesel engine were investigated. Results showed that the after-treatment had a negligible effect on the power and fuel consumption.The reduction effect of the DOC on the CO and hydrocarbon(HC) increased with the engine load. Further reductions occurred coupling with the CDPF. Increasing the catalyst loading resulted in a more significant reduction in the HC emissions than CO emissions. The DOC could increase the NO_(2)proportion to 37.9%, and more NO_(2)was produced when coupled with the CDPF below 250℃;above 250℃, more NO_(2)was consumed. The after-treatment could reduce more than 99% of the particle number(PN) and 98% of the particle mass(PM).Further reductions in the PN and PM occurred with a higher CDPF catalyst loading. The DOC had a better reduction effect on the nucleation particles than the accumulation ones, but the trend reversed with the CDPF. The DOC shifted the particle size distribution(PSD) to larger particles with an accumulation particle proportion increasing from 13% to 20%, and the geometric mean diameter(GMD) increased from 18.2 to 26.0 nm. The trend reversed with the CDPF and the accumulation particle proportion declined to less than 10%. 3Peptide Functionalized Nanoplasmonic Sensor for Explosive Detection显示文摘In this study, a nanobiosensor for detecting explosives was developed, in which the peptide was synthesized with trinitrotoluene(TNT)-specific sequence and immobilized on nanodevice by Au–S covalent linkage, and the nanocup arrays were fabricated by nanoimprint and deposited with Au nanoparticles to generate localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR). The device was used to monitor slight change from specific binding of 2,4,6-TNT to the peptide. With high refractive index sensing of ~10~4nm/RIU, the nanocup device can detect the binding of TNT at concentration as low as3.12×10^(-7)mg mL^(-1) by optical transmission spectrum modulated by LSPR. The nanosensor is also able to distinguish TNT from analogs of 2,4-dinitrotoluene and 3-nitrotoluene in the mixture with great selectivity. 6A biosensing system employing nanowell microelectrode arrays to record the intracellular potential of a single cardiomyocyte显示文摘Electrophysiological recording is a widely used method to investigate cardiovascular pathology,pharmacology and developmental biology.Microelectrode arrays record the electrical potential of cells in a minimally invasive and highthroughput way.However,commonly used microelectrode arays primarily employ planar microelectrodes and cannot work in applications that require a recording of the intracellular action potential of a single cell.In this study,we proposed a novel measuring method that is able to record the intracellular action potential of a single cardiomyocyte by using a nanowell patterned microelectrode array(NWMEA).The NWMEA consists of five nanoscale wells at the center of each circular planar microelectrode.Biphasic pulse electroporation was applied to the NWMEA to penetrate the cardiomyocyte membrane,and the intracellular action potential was continuously recorded.The intracellular potential recording of cardiomyocytes by the NWMEA measured a potential signal with a higher quality(213.76±25.85%),reduced noise root-mean-square(~33%),and higher signal-to-noise ratio(254.36±12.61%)when compared to those of the extracellular recording.Compared to previously reported nanopillar microelectrodes,the NWMEA could ensure single cell electroporation and acquire high-quality action potential of cardiomyocytes with reduced fabrication processes.This NWMEA-based biosensing system is a promising tool to record the intracellular action potential of a single cell to broaden the usage of microelectrode arrays in electrophysiological investigation.Yuting Xiang Haitao Liu Wenjian Yang Zhongyuan xu Yue Wu Zhajian Tang Zhjing Zhu Zhiyong Zeng Depeng Wang Tianxing Wang Ning Hu Diming Zhang 2022Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,3:0
7A biosensing system using a multiparameter nonlinear dynamic analysis of cardiomyocyte beating for drug-induced arrhythmia recognition显示文摘Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in humans.Therefore,cardiotoxicity is one of the most important adverse effects assessed by arrhythmia recognition in drug development.Recently,cell-based techniques developed for arhythmia recognition primarily employ linear methods such as time-domain analysis that detect and compare individual waveforms and thus fall short in some applications that require automated and efficient arrhythmia recognition from large datasets.We carried out the frst report to develop a biosensing system that integrated impedance measurement and multiparameter nonlinear dynamic algorithm(MNDA)analysis for druginduced arrhythmia recognition and classification.The biosensing system cultured cardiomyocytes as physiologically relevant models,used interdigitated electrodes to detect the mechanical beating of the cardiomyocytes,and employed MNDA analysis to recognize drug-induced arrhythmia from the cardiomyocyte beating recording.The best performing MNDA parameter,approximate entropy,enabled the system to recognize the appearance of sertindoleand norepinephrine-induced arrhythmia in the recording.The MNDA reconstruction in phase space enabled the system to classify the different arrhythmias and quantify the severity of arrhythmia.This new biosensing system utilizing MNDA provides a promising and alternative method for drug-induced arrhythmia recognition and classification in cardiological and pharmaceutical applications.Hao Wang Yue Wu Quchao Zou Wenjian Yang Zhongyuan Xu Hao Dong Zhjing Zhu Depeng Wang Tanxing Wang Ning Hu Diming Zhang 2022Microsystems & Nanoengineering2022,8,3:0
8Effect of catalyst diesel particulate filter aging and catalyst loadings on particulate emission characteristics from a diesel vehicle显示文摘In this study,the effect of new and used catalyzed diesel particulate filter(CDPF)with different catalyst loadings on the particulate emissions including the particle mass(PM),particle number(PN),particle size distribution(PSD)and geometric mean diameter(GMD)from a diesel vehicle were investigated based on a heavy chassis dynamometer.Results showed that more than 97.9%of the PN and 95.4%of the PM were reduced by the CDPF,and the reduction efficiency was enhanced by the catalyst loading.After using the CDPF,the PSD transformed from bimodal to trimodal with the peak shifting towards smaller particle size,more nucleation mode particles were reduced compared with accumulation mode ones,but the reduction effect on the accumulation mode particles was more significantly influenced by the catalyst loading.Notably,the CDPF increased the accumulation mode particles proportion,producing a larger GMD.For the used CDPF,its reduction effect on the particulate emissions enhanced,especially for the PM in accumulation mode.The PSD returned to bimodal,but the peak at accumulation mode began to be higher than that at nucleation mode,illustrating that more nucleation mode particles was removed.The aging of the CDPF resulted in greater effect on the PN-based PSD than that of PM-based PSD,but the effect of catalyst loading on the PN and PM emission factors was weakened.The used CDPF further increased the GMD,and the effect of catalyst loading on the GMD was strengthened,a higher catalyst loading led to a reduction in the GMD.Yunhua Zhang Diming Lou Piqiang Tan Zhiyuan Hu Liang Fang 2024Journal of Environmental Sciences2024,,2:0
91-D P- and S-wave velocity models for the collision zone between the northern Tianshan mountain and the Junggar basin based on local earthquake data显示文摘We have developed crustal minimum 1-D P- and S-wave velocity models of the collision zone between the northern Tianshan mountain and the Junggar basin (86 E-89 E, 43 N-44.5 N). These two models were created through inversion of 1 370 P- and 1 396 S-wave travel times from 173 well-constrained local earthquakes recorded by the rmqi sparse local seismic network and temporary seismic arrays. In contrast to previous models, our results indicate relatively low velocity at both shallow (<10 km) and deep (30-45 km) depths. The shallow zone is interpreted to be the result of thick surficial sedimentary deposits, whereas the deeper anomaly is interpreted to result from ductile shearing and lower crustal flow. Additionally, we detected several transition layers under the lower crust, which may imply structural complexity of the uppermost mantle in this region. The improved models reduce the RMS residual of earthquake locations by 41.7% from 1.2 to 0.5 seconds. The more accurately located hypocenters appear to correlate with prominent local over-thrusts, which underlie an anticlinal fold belt and several blind faults. 12SeBROP:blind ROP attacks without returns显示文摘Currently,security-critical server programs are well protected by various defense techniques,such as Address Space Layout Randomization(ASLR),eXecute Only Memory(XOM),and Data Execution Prevention(DEP),against modern code-reuse attacks like Return-oriented Programming(ROP)attacks.Moreover,in these victim programs,most syscall instructions lack the following ret instructions,which prevents attacks to stitch multiple system calls to implement advanced behaviors like launching a remote shell.Lacking this kind of gadget greatly constrains the capability of code-reuse attacks.This paper proposes a novel code-reuse attack method called Signal Enhanced Blind Return Oriented Programming(SeBROP)to address these challenges.Our SeBROP can initiate a successful exploit to server-side programs using only a stack overflow vulnerability.By leveraging a side-channel that exists in the victim program,we show how to find a variety of gadgets blindly without any pre-knowledges or reading/disassembling the code segment.Then,we propose a technique that exploits the current vulnerable signal checking mechanism to realize the execution flow control even when ret instructions are absent.Our technique can stitch a number of system calls without returns,which is more superior to conventional ROP attacks.Finally,the SeBROP attack precisely identifies many useful gadgets to constitute a Turing-complete set.SeBROP attack can defeat almost all state-of-the-art defense techniques.The SeBROP attack is compatible with both modern 64-bit and 32-bit systems.To validate its effectiveness,We craft three exploits of the SeBROP attack for three real-world applications,i.e.,32-bit Apache 1.3.49,32-bit ProFTPD 1.3.0,and 64-bit Nginx 1.4.0.Experimental results demonstrate that the SeBROP attack can successfully spawn a remote shell on Nginx,ProFTPD,and Apache with less than 8500/4300/2100 requests,respectively.Tianning Zhang Miao Cai Diming Zhang Hao Huang 2022Frontiers of Computer Science2022,16,4:0
