| 1 | Influence of transboundary air pollution on air quality in southwestern China显示文摘Air pollution is a grand challenge of our time due to its multitude of adverse impacts on environment and society,with the scale of impacts more severe in developing countries,including China.Thus,China has initiated and implemented strict air pollution control measures over last several years to reduce impacts of air pollution.Monitoring data from Jan 2015 to Dec 2019 on six criteria air pollutants(SO_(2),NO_(2),CO,O_(3),PM_(2.5),and PM_(10))at eight sites in southwestern China were investigated to understand the situation and analyze the impacts of transboundary air pollutants in this region.In terms of seasonal variation,the maximum concentrations of air pollutants at these sites were observed in winter or spring season depending on individual site.For diurnal variation,surface ozone peaked in the afternoon while the other pollutants had a bimodal pattern with peaks in the morning and late afternoon.There was limited transport of domestic emissions of air pollutants in China to these sites.Local emissions enhanced the concentrations of air pollutants during some pollution events.Mostly,the transboundary transport of air pollution from South Asia and Southeast Asia was associated with high concentrations of most air pollutants observed in southwestern China.Since air pollutants can be transported to southwestern China over long distances from the source regions,it is necessary to conduct more research to properly attribute and quantify transboundary transport of air pollutants,which will provide more solid scientific guidance for air pollution management in southwestern China. | Xiufeng Yin Shichang Kang Maheswar Rupakheti Benjamin de Foy Ping Li Junhua Yang Kunpeng Wu Qianggong Zhang Dipesh Rupakheti | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021，12，6： | 4 |
| 2 | Online Learning Control for Harmonics Reduction Based on Current Controlled Voltage Source Power Inverters显示文摘Nonlinear loads in the power distribution system cause non-sinusoidal currents and voltages with harmonic components.Shunt active filters(SAF) with current controlled voltage source inverters(CCVSI) are usually used to obtain balanced and sinusoidal source currents by injecting compensation currents.However,CCVSI with traditional controllers have a limited transient and steady state performance.In this paper,we propose an adaptive dynamic programming(ADP) controller with online learning capability to improve transient response and harmonics.The proposed controller works alongside existing proportional integral(PI) controllers to efficiently track the reference currents in the d-q domain.It can generate adaptive control actions to compensate the PI controller.The proposed system was simulated under different nonlinear(three-phase full wave rectifier) load conditions.The performance of the proposed approach was compared with the traditional approach.We have also included the simulation results without connecting the traditional PI control based power inverter for reference comparison.The online learning based ADP controller not only reduced average total harmonic distortion by 18.41%,but also outperformed traditional PI controllers during transients. | Naresh Malla Ujjwol Tamrakar Dipesh Shrestha Zhen Ni Reinaldo Tonkoski | 2017 | IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2017，4，3： | 2 |
| 3 | Impacts of Indian summer monsoon and stratospheric intrusion on air pollutants in the inland Tibetan Plateau显示文摘Air pollutants can be transported to the pristine regions such as the Tibetan Plateau,by monsoon and stratospheric intrusion.The Tibetan Plateau region has limited local anthropogenic emissions,while this region is influenced strongly by transport of heavy emissions mainly from South Asia.We conducted a comprehensive study on various air pollutants (PM_(2.5),total gaseous mercury,and surface ozone) at Nam Co Station in the inland Tibetan Plateau.Monthly mean PM_(2.5)concentration at Nam Co peaked in April before monsoon season,and decreased during the whole monsoon season (June–September).Monthly mean total gaseous mercury concentrations at Nam Co peaked in July and were in high levels during monsoon season.The Indian summer monsoon acted as a facilitator for transporting gaseous pollutants (total gaseous mercury) but a suppressor for particulate pollutants (PM_(2.5)) during the monsoon season.Different from both PM_(2.5)and total gaseous mercury variabilities,surface ozone concentrations at Nam Co are primarily attributed to stratospheric intrusion of ozone and peaked in May.The effects of the Indian summer monsoon and stratospheric intrusion on air pollutants in the inland Tibetan Plateau are complex and require further studies. | Xiufeng Yin Shichang Kang Benjamin de Foy Dipesh Rupakheti Maheswar Rupakheti Zhiyuan Cong Xin Wanb Guoshuai Zhang Qianggong Zhang | 2021 | Geoscience Frontiers2021，12，6： | 2 |

| 11 | Auto-intestine transplantation for pancreatic tumors with mesenteric root involvement:a systematic review and survival-based analysis显示文摘To analyze a long-term survival outcome of an auto-intestine transplantation(aINTx)for the patients with locally advanced pancreatic tumor and identify the potential prognostic factors,databases were carefully searched for the studies reporting the patients with a locally advanced pancreatic tumor which typically underwent aINTx.We performed a database search using PubMed,the Cochrane Library,EMBASE,and MEDLINE to identify multiple case series of the patients who had pancreatic tumors with mesenteric root involvement and underwent aINTx,to evaluate the treatment outcomes,and calculated the patient survival using the Kaplan–Meier method and Cox proportional hazard regression analysis to properly identify an independent predictor of the survival.A total of 9 retrospective studies with a total of 29 patients were included in our study.The calculated 1-,2-,and 3-year survival rates for the patients with pancreatic cancer and benign or low grade pancreatic tumors were 49.64%,22.06%,and 0%versus 100%,100%,and 80%,respectively.The corresponding median survival time was 13.4months and 84months,respectively.Moreover,when stratifying the pancreatic cancer patients undergoing aINTx on the basis of neoadjuvant chemotherapy(aINTx+neoadjuvant vs aINTx-neoadjuvant)there was a significant difference in the survival(P=0.01).The 1-and 2-year survival rates were 75%and 75%versus 34.1%and 0%,respectively.Corresponding median survival times were 24months and 10months,respectively.Our analysis shows the long-term survival benefit with acceptable morbidity and mortality of pancreatoduodenectomy and aINTx for the pancreatic tumors with the mesenteric root involvement that are otherwise unresectable by the conventional surgical techniques.However,from an oncological point of view,a larger study with the control group is required to determine its safety compared to less aggressive surgical treatment. | Dipesh Kumar Yadav Xing Huang Qi Zhang Gang Zhang Xueli Bai Tingbo Liang | 2021 | Journal of Pancreatology2021，4，4： | 1 |

| 14 | Functional gastrointestinal disorders in inflammatory bowel disease: Time for a paradigm shift?显示文摘Recent advances in biological therapies have revolutionalised and redefined treatment targets in inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).There is now a stronger emphasis on achieving the more stringent therapeutic goals of mucosal and histological healing,rather than clinical remission alone.Consequently,the treatment of refractory“functional”gastrointestinal symptoms,often attributed as the aftermath of previous inflammation,has recently become more prominent in quiescent disease.With further expected advances in anti-inflammatory treatments on the horizon,the burden of such symptoms in quiescent disease,which have been relatively neglected,is set to become an even bigger problem.In this article,we highlight the current state of research and understanding in this field,including recent developments and clinical practice guidelines on the diagnosis and management of functional gastrointestinal symptoms,such as irritable bowel syndrome and functional anorectal and pelvic floor disorders,in patients with quiescent IBD.These disorders are not only highly prevalent in these patients,they are often misdiagnosed,and are difficult to treat,with very few evidence-based therapies.Moreover,they are associated with substantial impairment in quality-of-life,considerable morbidity,and psychological distress.There is therefore an urgent need for a change in emphasis towards earlier recognition,positive diagnosis,and targeted treatment for patients with ongoing functional gastrointestinal symptoms in the absence of active IBD.This article also highlights the need for further research to develop much needed evidence-based therapies. | Dipesh H Vasant Alexander C Ford | 2020 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2020，26，26： | 1 |
