1An Ultra‑Durable Windmill‑Like Hybrid Nanogenerator for Steady and Efficient Harvesting of Low‑Speed Wind Energy显示文摘Wind energy is one of the most promising and renewable energy sources;however,owing to the limitations of device structures,collecting low-speed wind energy by triboelectric nanogenerators(TENGs)is still a huge challenge.To solve this problem,an ultra-durable and highly efficient windmill-like hybrid nanogenerator(W-HNG)is developed.Herein,the W-HNG composes coupled TENG and electromagnetic generator(EMG)and adopts a rotational contact-separation mode.This unique design efficiently avoids the wear of friction materials and ensures a prolonged service life.Moreover,the generator group is separated from the wind-driven part,which successfully prevents rotation resistance induced by the friction between rotor and stator in the conventional structures,and realizes low-speed wind energy harvesting.Additionally,the output characteristics of TENG can be complementary to the different performance advantages of EMG to achieve a satisfactory power production.The device is successfully driven when the wind speed is 1.8 m s−1,and the output power of TENG and EMG can achieve 0.95 and 3.7 mW,respectively.After power management,the W-HNG has been successfully applied as a power source for electronic devices.This work provides a simple,reliable,and durable device for improved performance toward large-scale low-speed breeze energy harvesting.Ying Zhang Qixuan Zeng Yan Wu Jun Wu Songlei Yuan Dujuan Tan Chenguo Hu Xue Wang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,12:6

4rAAV/ABAD-DP-6His attenuates oxidative stressinduced injury of PC12 cells显示文摘Our previous studies have revealed that amyloid β(Aβ)-binding alcohol dehydrogenase(ABAD) decoy peptide antagonizes Aβ42-induced neurotoxicity. However, whether it improves oxidative stress injury remains unclear. In this study, a recombinant adenovirus constitutively secreting and expressing Aβ-ABAD decoy peptide(rAAV/ABAD-DP-6His) was successfully constructed. Our results showed that rAAV/ABAD-DP-6His increased superoxide dismutase activity in hydrogen peroxide-induced oxidative stress-mediated injury of PC12 cells. Moreover, rAAV/ABADDP-6His decreased malondialdehyde content, intracellular Ca2+ concentration, and the level of reactive oxygen species. rAAV/ABAD-DP-6His maintained the stability of the mitochondrial membrane potential. In addition, the ATP level remained constant, and apoptosis was reduced. 5English and Chinese language frequency time series analysis显示文摘English and Chinese language frequency time series (LFTS) were constructed based on an English and two Chinese novels. Methods of statistical hypothesis testing were adopted to test the nonlinear properties of the LFTS. Results suggest the series exhibited non-normal, auto-correlative, and stationary characteristics. 6Dynamic behavior of bridge-erecting machine subjected to moving mass suspended by wire ropes显示文摘The dynamic behavior of a bridge-erecting machine,carrying a moving mass suspended by a wire rope,is investigated.The bridge-erecting machine is modelled by a simply supported uniform beam,and a massless equivalent 'spring-damper' system with an effective spring constant and an effective damping coefficient is used to model the moving mass suspended by the wire rope.The suddenly applied load is represented by a unitary Dirac Delta function.With the expansion method,a simple closed-form solution for the equation of motion with the replaced spring-damper-mass system is formulated.The characters of the rope are included in the derivation of the differential equation of motion for the system.The numerical examples show that the effects of the damping coefficient and the spring constant of the rope on the deflection have significant variations with the loading frequency.The effects of the damping coefficient and the spring constant under different beam lengths are also examined.The obtained results validate the presented approach,and provide significant references in the design process of bridgeerecting machines.Shaopu YANG Xueqian FANG Jianchao ZHANG Dujuan WANG 2016Applied Mathematics and Mechanics(English Edition)2016,37,6:3

8A NEW IMAGE QUALITY ASSESSMENT BASED ON HVS显示文摘This letter proposes a new kind of image quality philosophy—Modulate Quality based on Fixation Points (MQFP) based on Human Visual System (HVS) model. Dissimilar to the former HVS-based quality assessment, the new measure emphasizes particularly on modeling the jumping phenomenon of human sight instead of modeling the visual perception of human. In other words, to model the HVS using fixation points and stay-frequency instead of Contrast Sensitive Function (CSF) etc. which models the visual perception of HVS. 20Prehibernation Energy Storage in Heilongjiang Brown Frogs(Rana amurensis) from Five Populations in North China显示文摘Energy storage is an important component in the life history of species that directly influences survival and reproduction. The energetic demands of amphibian reproduction can differ between the sexes, with environmental conditions, reproductive pattern or process of the species, and depending upon the timing of breeding, and the reproductive season for a species. Surprisingly, comparative studies of pre-hibernation energy storage for anuran populations from different latitudes are relatively few in Asia, especially in China. Here we investigated the patterns of pre-hibernation energy storage of Heilongjiang brown frogs Rana amurensis, based on five populations along a finely latitudinal gradient in north China(40.7–43.7°N). We found that pre-hibernation energy storage of the frogs did not show a clear latitudinal cline, but differed strongly between the sexes, with males depositing more energy reserves into the muscle and liver, whereas females accumulate more energy in the gonads.
