| 1 | Adhesive anastomosis for organ transplantation显示文摘The recent development of tough tissue adhesives has stimulated intense interests among material scientists and medical doctors. However, these adhesives have seldom been tested in clinically demanding surgeries. Here we demonstrate adhesive anastomosis in organ transplantation.Anastomosis is commonly conducted by dense sutures and takes a long time, during which all the vessels are occluded.Prolonged occlusion may damage organs and even cause death. We formulate a tough, biocompatible, bioabsorbable adhesive that can sustain tissue tension and pressurized flow.We expose the endothelial surface of vessels onto a gasket, press two endothelial surfaces to the adhesive using a pair of magnetic rings, and reopen the bloodstream immediately. The time for adhesive anastomosis is shortened compared to the time for sutured anastomosis. We have achieved adhesive anastomosis of a great vein in transplanting the liver of a pig. After the surgery, the adhesive is absorbed, the vein heals, and the pig lives for over one month. | Kang Liu Hang Yang Gaobo Huang Aihua Shi Qiang Lu Shanpei Wang Wei Qiao Haohua Wang Mengyun Ke Hongfan Ding Tao Li Yanchao Zhang Jiawei Yu Bingyi Ren Rongfeng Wang Kailing Wang Hui Feng Zhigang Suo Jingda Tang Yi Lv | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,7: | 3 |
| 2 | Plasma thrombomodulin changes in acute cerebral infarction or hypertension patients An observation for verification显示文摘BACKGROUND: Thrombomodulin concentration greatly increases in plasma when vascular endothelial cells are injured, and it is one of the specific molecular markers for endothelial injury. OBJECTIVE: To analyze the plasma levels of thrombomodulin after cerebral infarction or hypertension, and to compare levels with those from healthy control subjects. DESIGN: A case-controlled observation. SETTING: Yuquan Hospital of Tsinghua University. PARTICIPANTS: Patients with hypertension (n = 37) and acute cerebral infarction (n = 26) were selected from the outpatient and inpatient Department of Neurology, Yuquan Hospital of Tsinghua University from February 2003 to February 2006. The cerebral infarction group consisted of 24 males and 2 females, 36-77 years of age, with a mean age of 62 years. All patients fulfilled the diagnosis criteria for cerebral infarction, according to the diagnostic standards revised by the Second National Academic Meeting for Cerebrovascular Disease, and were confirmed by CT or MRI. The hypertension group consisted of 27 males and 10 females, 36-77 years of age, with a mean age of 56 years. These patients fulfilled the diagnostic criteria for hypertension set by WHO. In addition, 43 healthy physical examinees were selected as the control group, consisting of 23 males and 20 females, 35-67 years of age. Informed consent was obtained from all participants. METHODS: In the cerebral infarction group, thrombomodulin plasma levels were determined by enzyme-linked immunoabsorbent assay at days 1, 3, 7, and 14 after attack. Thrombomodulin plasma levels were determined only once in the hypertension group and the control group. The results from the cerebral infarction group were compared with those from the hypertension group and the control group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Level of thrombomodulin in plasma. RESULTS: All 63 patients and 43 healthy volunteers were included in the final analysis of results. ① At 7 days after the attack, the plasma levels of thrombomodulin in the cerebral infarction and the hypertension groups were significantly higher than in the control group (P < 0.01). ② The plasma level of thrombomodulin was detected at four time points after cerebral infarction. It reached peak values on day 7, and it was lowest on day 14. CONCLUSION: The changes of thrombomodulin plasma levels could be used to monitor the severity of vascular endothelial cell injury in acute cerebral infarction. | Pu Feng Hui Zhang Bingyi Yang Yonggang Zheng Jinhui Xie Ying Wang Jinchuan Li | 2008 | Neural Regeneration Research2008,3,1: | 2 |

| 9 | A Calculation Method of Double Strength Reduction for Layered Slope Based on the Reduction of Water Content Intensity显示文摘The calculation of the factor of safety(FOS)is an important means of slope evaluation. This paper proposed an improved double strength reductionmethod(DRM)to analyze the safety of layered slopes. The physical properties of different soil layers of the slopes are different,so the single coefficient strength reduction method(SRM)is not enough to reflect the actual critical state of the slopes.Considering that the water content of the soil in the natural state is the main factor for the strength of the soil, the attenuation law of shear strength of clayey soil changing with water content is fitted. This paper also establishes the functional relationship between different reduction coefficients. Then,a USDFLD subroutine is programmed using the secondary development function of finite element software.Controlling the relationship between field variables and calculation time realizes double strength reduction applicable to the layered slope. Finally,by comparing the calculation results of different examples,it is proved that the stress and displacement distribution of the critical slope state obtained by the improved method is more realistic, and the calculated safety factor is more reliable. The newly proposedmethod considers the difference of intensity attenuation between different soil layers under natural conditions and avoids the disadvantage of the strength reduction method with uniform parameters, which provides a new idea and method for stability analysis of layered and complex slopes. | Feng Shen Yang Zhao Bingyi Li Kai Wu | 2024 | Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2024,138,1: | 0 |
| 10 | Multi-Agent Hierarchical Graph Attention Reinforcement Learning for Grid-Aware Energy Management显示文摘The increasing adoption of renewable energy has posed challenges for voltage regulation in power distribution networks.Gridaware energy management, which includes the control of smart inverters and energy management systems,is a trending way to mitigate this problem. However, existing multi-agent reinforcement learning methods for grid-aware energy management have not sufficiently considered the importance of agent cooperation and the unique characteristics of the grid, which leads to limited performance. In this study,we propose a new approach named multi-agent hierarchical graph attention reinforcement learning framework(MAHGA)to stabilize the voltage.Specifically, under the paradigm of centralized training and decentralized execution,we model the power distribution network as a novel hierarchical graph containing the agent-level topology and the bus-level topology. Then a hierarchical graph attention model is devised to capture the complex correlation between agents. Moreover,we incorporate graph contrastive learning as an auxiliary task in the reinforcement learning process to improve representation learning from graphs.Experiments on several real-world scenarios reveal that our approach achieves the best performance and can reduce the number of voltage violations remarkably. | FENG Bingyi FENG Mingxiao WANG Minrui ZHOU Wengang LI Houqiang | 2023 | ZTE Communications2023,21,3: | 0 |
