1Effects of Chip Geometries on Dielectrophoresis and Electrorotation Investigation显示文摘The electric fields employed for such work are generated using chips,such as planar linear interdigitated arrays or two parallel arrays.However,chip geometries usually affect the investigation of dielectrophoresis(DEP)and electrorotation(ER)significantly,and even may misdirect the theoretical prediction.In order to understand the electrodes geometries effect and provide a suitable range of parameters,three-dimensional simulations for the DEP and ER characterizations on the quadrupolar hyperbolical electrodes are carried out.Influences of the electrodes gaps,cell height,work region,energized voltage and frequencies for the DEP and ER manipulations are analyzed,and the analysis results show that the gaps of the electrodes and the cell height have enormous effects,but the work region is not so important.Moreover,depending on the theoretical analysis,ER experiments for polystyrene microspheres with the diameter of 20 m are carried out on two kinds of chips.The experimental results show that the microspheres rotate in the counter-field direction and the maximum rotation speed appears in the megahertz range.In addition,the experimental results are compared with the simulation results,showing that the three-dimensional simulations considering the chip geometries are more accurate than the two-dimensional predictions.This paper provides a new understanding for the theoretical predictions of DEP and ER manipulations,which decreases the difference of the theoretical and experimental results significantly,and will be significant for the lab chip research.REN Yukun WU Hongchi FENG Guojing HOU Likai JIANG Hongyuan 2014Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,1:4
2Elusive cats in our backyards:persistence of the North Chinese leopard(Panthera pardus japonensis)in a human-dominated landscape in central China显示文摘The North Chinese leopard(Panthera pardus japonensis),the least-known big cat,disappeared in most historical range for decades,following the development of modern civilization.Unfortunately,we have scarce knowledge about the status of this big cat so far,apart from anecdotal reports.In this study,we investigated density,distribution,and habitat use of the leopard,the apex predator,in a complex forest landscape in the Loess Plateau.We used a camera-trapping network to obtain population estimates for leopards over 2 years through spatially explicit capture-recapture models.Our results,based on maximum likelihood and Bayesian/MCMC methods,reveal that the largest wild population of the leopard was found widely distributed in remnant forests in central Loess plateau.The population is increasing in our study area,and the density of leopards(1.70(SE=0.48)−2.40(SE=0.67)/100 km^(2))is higher than other areas of China.According to the analysis of 2 seasonal occupancy models,prey species drive partially the leopard habitat use,predicting that the big cat thrives from the recovery of prey community.However,human disturbances,especially oil wells,seem to have negative impacts on the habitat use of leopards.Specifically,it is necessary to have joint efforts by the government and researchers to improve human disturbances management and prey species population density,as well as strengthen the investment in research on the North Chinese leopard,which could all further strengthen protection ability and ensure the long-term survival of this species.Haitao YANG Bing XIE Guojing ZHAO Yinan GONG Pu MOU Jianping GE Limin FENG 2021Integrative Zoology2021,16,1:3

4Magnetic logic inverter from crossed structures of defect-free graphene with large unsaturated room temperature negative magnetoresistance显示文摘Introducing defects into graphene has been widely utilized to realize the negative magnetoresistanee(MR)effect in graphene.However,the reported graphene negative MR exhibits only^10%under 10 T at room temperature to date,which extremely limits the resolution of future spintronics devices.Moreover,intentional defect introduction can also cause unintentional degradation in graphene's intrinsic properties.In this paper,we report a magnetic logic inverter based on a crossed structure of defect-free graphene,resulting in a substantial gain of 4.81 mV/T while exhibiting room temperature operation.This crossed structure of graphene shows large unsaturated room temperature negative MR with an enhancement of up to 1,000%at 9 T.A transition behavior between negative and positive MR is observed in this crossed structure and the transition temperature can be tuned by a ratio of the conductivity between in-plane and out-of-plane transport.Our results open an intriguing path for future two-dimensional spintronics device applications.Chao Feng Junxiang Xiang Ping Liu Xiangqi Wang Jianlin Wang Guojing Hu Meng Huang Zhi Wang Zengming Zhang Yuan Liu Yalin Lu Bin Xiang 2019Nano Research2019,12,10:1
5Spatial Quantitative Analysis of Garlic Price Data Based on ArcGIS Technology显示文摘In order to solve the hidden regional relationship among garlic prices,this paper carries out spatial quantitative analysis of garlic price data based on ArcGIS technology.The specific analysis process is to collect prices of garlic market from 2015 to 2017 in different regions of Shandong Province,using the Moran's Index to obtain monthly Moran indicators are positive,so as to analyze the overall positive relationship between garlic prices;then using the geostatistical analysis tool in ArcGIS to draw a spatial distribution Grid diagram,it was found that the price of garlic has a significant geographical agglomeration phenomenon and showed a multi-center distribution trend.The results showed that the agglomeration centers are Jining,Dongying,Qingdao,and Yantai.At the end of the article,according to the research results,constructive suggestions were made for the regulation of garlic price.Using Moran’s Index and geostatistical analysis tools to analyze the data of garlic price,which made up for the lack of position correlation in the traditional analysis methods and more intuitively and effectively reflected the trend of garlic price from low to high from west to east in Shandong Province and showed a pattern of circular distribution.Guojing Wu Chao Zhang Pingzeng Liu Wanming Ren Yong Zheng Feng Guo Xiaowei Chen Russell Higgs 2019Computers, Materials & Continua2019,,1:1

7Planar-symmetry-breaking induced antisymmetric magnetoresistance in van der Waals ferromagnet Fe_(3)GeTe_(2)显示文摘Recently discovered magnetic van der Waals(vdW)materials provide an ideal platform to explore low-dimensional magnetism and spin transport.Its vdW interaction nature opens up unprecedented opportunities to build vertically stacked heterostructures with novel properties and functionalities.By engineering the planar structure as an alternative degree of freedom,herein we demonstrate an antisymmetric magnetoresistance(MR)in a vdW Fe_(3)GeTe_(2)flake with a step terrace that breaks the planar symmetry.This antisymmetric MR originates from a sign change of the anomalous Hall effect and the continuity of the current transport near the boundary of magnetic domains at the step edge.A repeatable domain wall due to the unsynchronized magnetization switching is responsible for this sign change.Such interpretation is supported by the observation of field-dependent domain switching,and the step thickness,temperature,and magnetic field orientation dependent MR.This work opens up new opportunities to encode magnetic information by controlling the planar domain structures in vdW magnets.Ping Liu Caixing Liu Zhi Wang Meng Huang Guojing Hu Junxiang Xiang Chao Feng Chen Chen Zongwei Ma Xudong Cui Hualing Zeng Zhigao Sheng Yalin Lu Gen Yin Gong Chen Kai Liu Bin Xiang 2022Nano Research2022,15,3:0
8Superior multiphase interfaces in AgCuTe-based composite with significantly enhanced thermoelectric properties显示文摘It is common sense that a phase interface(or grain boundary)could be used to scatter phonons in thermoelectric(TE)materials,resulting in low thermal conductivity(k).However,a large number of impurity phases are always so harmful to the transport of carriers that poor TE performance is obtained.Here,we demonstrate that numerous superior multiphase(AgCuTe,Ag_(−2)Te,copper telluride(Cu_(2)Te and Cu_(2−x)Te),and nickel telluride(NiTe))interfaces with simultaneous strong phonon scattering and weak electron scattering could be realized in AgCuTe-based TE materials.Owing to the similar chemical bonds in these phases,the depletion region at phase interfaces,which acts as carrier scattering centers,could be ignored.Therefore,the power factor(PF)is obviously enhanced from~609 to~832μW·m^(−1)·K^(−2),and k is simultaneously decreased from~0.52 to~0.43 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at 636 K.Finally,a peak figure of merit(zT)of~1.23 at 636 K and an average zT(zTavg)of~1.12 in the temperature range of 523–623 K are achieved,which are one of the best values among the AgCuTe-based TE materials.This study could provide new guidance to enhance the performance by designing superior multiphase interfaces in the TE materials.Wenpei Li Zhonghai Yu Chengyan Liu Ying Peng Baoquan Feng Jie Gao Guojing Wu Xiaobo Bai Junliang Chen Xiaoyang Wang Lei Miao 2023Journal of Advanced Ceramics2023,12,8:0
9Energy band engineering of Bi_(2)O_(2.33)–CdS direct Z-scheme heterojunction for enhanced photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)显示文摘In this work,a Bi_(2)O_(2.33)–CdS direct Z-scheme heterojunction was fabricated based on energy band engineering.The Bi_(2)O_(2.33)core nanoflakes were first synthesized by electrodeposition which was followed by an annealing process to fabricate this heterojunction.Then the Cd S shell was deposited on Bi_(2)O_(2.33)nanoflakes utilizing the solution method,during which a suitable concentration of Cd Clsolution was used for forming a homogeneous and continuous integrated CdS shell.A space charge region and an internal electric field from CdS(+)to Bi_(2)O_(2.33)(-),which drove a direct Z-scheme charge transfer process,were formed at the interface.The Bi_(2)O_(2.33)–CdS exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance for CO_(2)reduction mainly attributed to the satisfactory photoinduced charge separation and transport efficiency in the direct Z-scheme heterojunction.The photocatalytic CO_(2)reduction ability of Bi_(2)O_(2.33)–CdS was significantly enhanced compared with single Bi_(2)O_(2.33)or Cd S,with a CO_(2)yield rate of ca.2.9μmol/(cm^(2)h)under a 300 W Xe lamp.The reduction of CO_(2)to CO_(2)demonstrated 94.0%selectivity.Guojing Wang Zhiwei Tang Jing Wang Shasha Lv Yunjie Xiang Feng Li Chong Liu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,16:0
10Large-scale interplant exchange of macromolecules between soybean and dodder under nutrient stresses显示文摘Parasitic plants and their hosts communicate through haustorial connections.Nutrient deficiency is a common stress for plants,yet little is known about whether and how host plants and parasites communicate during adaptation to such nutrient stresses.In this study,we used transcriptomics and proteomics to analyze how soybean(Glycine max)and its parasitizing dodder(Cuscuta australis)respond to nitrate and phosphate deficiency(-N and-P).After-N and-P treatment,the soybean and dodder plants exhibited substantial changes of transcriptome and proteome,although soybean plants showed very few transcriptional responses to-P and dodder did not show any transcriptional changes to either-N or-P.Importantly,large-scale interplant transport of mRNAs and proteins was detected.Although the mobile mRNAs only comprised at most 0.2%of the transcriptomes,the foreign mobile proteins could reach 6.8%of the total proteins,suggesting that proteins may be the major forms of interplant communications.Furthermore,the interplant mobility of macromolecules was specifically affected by the nutrient regimes and the transport of these macromolecules was very likely independently regulated.This study provides new insight into the communication between host plants and parasites under stress conditions.Jingxiong Zhang Shalan Li Wenxing Li Zerui Feng Shuhan Zhang Xijie Zheng Yuxing Xu Guojing Shen Man Zhao Guoyan Cao Xuna Wu Jianqiang Wu 2024Plant Diversity2024,46,1:0
