Compositional and structural study of ash deposits spatially distributed in superheaters of a large biomass-fired CFB boiler显示文摘Recognizing the nature and formation progress of the ash deposits is essential to resolve the deposition problem hindering the wide application of large-scale biomass-fired boilers. Therefore, the ash deposits in the superheaters of a 220 t/h biomass-fired CFB boiler were studied, including the platen(PS),the high-temperature(HTS),the upper and the lower low-temperature superheaters(LTS).The results showed that the deposits in the PSs and HTSs were thin(several millimeters)and compact, consisting of a yellow outer layer and snow-white inner layer near the tube surface. The deposits in the upper LTS appeared to be toughly sintered ceramic, while those in the lower LTS were composed of dispersive coarse ash particles with an unsintered surface.Detailed characterization of the cross-section and the initial layers in the deposits revealed that the dominating compositions in both the PSs and the HTSs were Cl and K(approximately 70%)in the form of KCl.Interestingly, the cross-section of the deposition in the upper LTS exhibited a unique lamellar structure with a major composition of Ca and S.The contents of Ca and Si increased from approximately 10%to approximately 60%in the deposits from the high temperature surfaces to the low temperature ones.It was concluded that the vaporized mineral matter such as KCl played the most important role in the deposition progress in the PS and the HTS.In addition, although the condensation of KCl in the LTSs also happened, the deposition of ash particles played a more important role. | Yishu XU Xiaowei LIU Jiuxin QI Tianpeng ZHANG Minghou XU Fangfang FEI Dingqing LI | 2021 | Frontiers in Energy2021,15,2: | 3
Association between physical activity and digestive-system cancer: An updated systematic review and meta-analysis显示文摘Background:Physical activity(PA)may have an impact on digestive-system cancer(DSC)by improving insulin sensitivity and anticancer immune function and by reducing the exposure of the digestive tract to carcinogens by stimulating gastrointestinal motility, thus reducing transit time. The current study aimed to determine the effect of PA on different types of DSC via a systematic review and meta-analysis.Methods:In accordance with the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA)guidelines,we searched for relevant studies in PubMed,Embase,Web of Science,Cochrane Library, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure.Using a random effects model, the relationship between PA and different types of DSC was analyzed. Results:The data used for meta-analysis were derived from 161 risk estimates in 47 studies involving 5,797,768 participants and 55,162 cases. We assessed the pooled associations between high vs.low PA levels and the risk of DSC(risk ratio(RR)=0.82,95%confidence interval(95%CI):0.79-0.85),colon cancer(RR=0.81,95%CI:0.76-0.87),rectal cancer(RR=0.88,95%CI:0.80-0.98),colorectal cancer(RR=0.77,95%CI:0.69-0.85),gallbladder cancer(RR=0.79,95%CI:0.64-0.98),gastric cancer(RR=0.83,95%CI:0.76-0.91),liver cancer(RR=0.73,0.60-0.89),oropharyngeal cancer(RR=0.79,95%CI:0.72-0.87),and pancreatic cancer(RR=0.85,95%CI:0.78-0.93).The findings were comparable between case-control studies(RR=0.73,95%CI:0.68-0.78)and prospective cohort studies(RR=0.88,95%CI:0.80-0.91).The meta-analysis of 9 studies reporting low, moderate, and high PA levels, with 17 risk estimates, showed that compared to low PA,moderate PA may also reduce the risk of DSC(RR=0.89,95%CI:0.80-1.00),while compared to moderate PA,high PA seemed to slightly increase the risk of DSC,although the results were not statistically significant(RR=1.11,95%CI:0.94-1.32).In addition, limited evidence from 5 studies suggested that meeting the international PA guidelines might not significantly reduce the risk of DSC(RR=0.96,95%CI:0.91-1.02).Conclusion:Compared to previous research, this systematic review has provided more comprehensive information about the inverse relationship between PA and DSC risk. The updated evidence from the current meta-analysis indicates that a moderate-to-high PA level is a common protective factor that can significantly lower the overall risk of DSC.However, the reduction rate for specific cancers may vary.In addition, limited evidence suggests that meeting the international PA guidelines might not significantly reduce the risk of DSC.Thus, future studies must be conducted to determine the optimal dosage, frequency, intensity, and duration of PA required to reduce DSC risk effectively. | Fangfang Xie Yanli You Jihan Huang Chong Guan Ziji Chen Min Fang Fei Yao Jia Han | 2021 | Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,1: | 3
Effective doctor-patient communication skills training optimizes functional organization of intrinsic brain architecture:a restingstate functional MRI study显示文摘We studied the influence of doctor-patient communication skills training on brain functional architecture using resting-state functional MRI(rs-fMRI) with a regional homogeneity(ReHo) method. Ten medical students participated in the study. A 1-year long doctor-patient communication skills training program was conducted. RsfMRI data were collected at baseline, one month and one year after training. There was a significant increase in the communication skills test average scores between baseline and 1-month duration of training(P<0.001). After one month of communication skills training, medical students had decreased ReHo in the right superior temporal gyrus compared with the baseline. After one year of communication skills training, students had increased ReHo in multiple regions and decreased ReHo in several regions(P <0.05, Alphasim corrected). The change of ReHo values in the superior temporal gyrus negatively correlated with the change of communication skills scale score between one month after communication skills training and baseline(r=-0.734, P= 0.036). The training program we used can be an effective approach of improving doctor-patient communication skills, and the training resulted in functional plasticity of the brain's architecture toward optimizing locally functional organization. | Bing Zhang Ling Ni Fangfang Wang Weiping Li Xin Zhang Xiaohua Gu Zuzana Nedelska Fei Chen Kun Wang Bin Zhu Renyuan Liu Jun Xu Jinfan Wang | 2017 | The Journal of Biomedical Research2017,31,6: | 2

Cryo-EM structure of human κ-opioid receptor-G_(i) complex bound to an endogenous agonist dynorphin A显示文摘Dear Editor,The opioid receptor family is divided into four subtypes each paired with their cognate peptide ligand:theμ-opioid receptor(MOR)withβ-endorphin,K-opioid receptor(KOR)with dynorphin A and B,o-opioid receptors(DOR)with enkephalin, and nociceptin opioid receptor(NOR)with nociceptin(Faouzi et al.,2020).These four opioid receptors all primarily couple to heterotrimeric G/G。proteins as well as mediatingβ-arrestin1/2 signaling pathway(Ferre et al.,2019).Activation of these receptors by distinct ligands is linked to a series of physiological responses, such as release of hormones, pain adjustment, drug addiction, stress, and mood regulation(Che et al.,2018). | Yuxiang Chen Bo Chen Tingting Wu Fangfang Zhou Fei Xu | 2023 | Protein & Cell2023,14,6: | 0
High-performance SOD mimetic enzyme Au@Ce for arresting cell cycle and proliferation of acute myeloid leukemia显示文摘SOD-like activity of CeO_(2) nanoparticles(Ce NPs)is driven by Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+),high oxidative stress can oxidize Ce^(3+) to reduce the ratio of Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+),inactivating the SOD activity of Ce NPs.Herein,we found Au@Ce NPs,assembled by Au NPs and Ce NPs,exhibited high-performance of SOD mimetic enzyme activity even upon the oxidation of H_(2)O_(2).Ce NPs supported by nano-Au can acquire the electrons from Au NPs through the enhanced localized surface plasmon resonance(LSPR),maintaining the stability of Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+) and SOD-like activity.Meanwhile,Au@Ce NPs retained the peroxidase function and catalase function. As a result,Au@Ce NPs effectively scavenged O_(2·-) and the derived ROS in AML cells, which are the important signaling source that drives AML cell proliferation and accelerates cell cycle progression. When HL-60 cells were treated by Au@Ce NPs,the removal of endogenous ROS signal significantly arrested cell cycle at G1 phase and suppressed the cell proliferation by blocking the mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs)signaling and the Akt/Cyclin D1 cell cycle signaling.Importantly, this treatment strategy showed therapeutic effect for subcutaneous transplantation of AML model as well as a satisfactory result in diminishing the leukocyte infiltration of liver and spleen particularly. Thus, assembled Au@Ce NPs show the high-performance SOD-like activity, promising the potential in treating AML and regulating abnormal ROS in other diseases safely and efficiently. | Yuxiang Sun Xin Liu Lei Wang Li Xu Kunliang Liu Lei Xu Fangfang Shi Yu Zhang Ning Gu Fei Xiong | 2022 | Bioactive Materials2022,7,4: | 0

Optical sensor array for the discrimination of liquors显示文摘The discrimination of liquors plays a vital role in our daily life as a large amount of cheap alcoholic beverages and low-quality counterfeits greatly damage the health of consumers.Array-based optical sensors have been developed as a fast and effective tool to discriminate multi-analytes or complex mixtures with similar structures, such as acids, esters, aldehydes and ketones.Over the past decades, optical sensor arrays have demonstrated remarkable capabilities in fast and accurate detection of diverse types, qualities, and authentic liquors. The identification strategy mainly focuses on the specific/non-specific interactions of flavor compounds in liquors with sensor elements. The cross-reactive optical signal readouts from the combination of sensor elements with liquors and multiple machine learning algorithms are essential to ensure the discriminatory capability of sensing system. In this review,we discuss the advantages and recent advances in pattern recognition of liquors in terms of the design of various types of sensing materials and the construction strategies of sensor arrays. | Yang Yu Fangfang Shi Yi Zhang Fei Li Jinsong Han | 2024 | Journal of Future Foods2024,4,1: | 0
Bionic Microbubble Neutrophil Composite for InflammationResponsive Atherosclerotic Vulnerable Plaque Pluripotent Intervention显示文摘Rupture or erosion of inflammatory atherosclerotic vulnerable plaque is essential to acute coronary events, while the target intervene of vulnerable plaque is very challenging, due to the relatively small volume, high hemodynamic shear stress, and multifactorial nature of the lesion foci.Herein,we utilize the biological functionality of neutrophil and the versatility of microbubble in the acoustic field,to form Neu-balloon through CD11b antibody binding. The Neu-balloon inherits the advantage of neutrophils on firming the endothelium adhesion even at shear stress up to 16 dyne/cm^(2)and also maintains the acoustic enhancement property from the microbubble,to accumulate at atherosclerotic lesions under acoustic in an atherosclerotic Apo E^(-/-) mice model.Interestingly,Neo-balloon also has high and broad drug loading capacity, which enables the delivery of indocyanine green and miR-126a-5p into vulnerable plagues in vivo.Overall, the bionic Neu-balloon holds great potential to boost on-demand drug transportation into plaques in vivo. | Fangfang Liu Yang Mao Jiaqi Yan Yu Sun Zhihua Xie Fei Li Fei Yan Hongbo Zhang Pengfei Zhang | 2022 | Research2022,,3: | 0
Profiling the m^(6)A-regulated RNA expression patterns and alternative splicing features in esophageal carcinoma显示文摘The m^(6)A modification involves almost all aspects of RNA biology, including the alternative splicing of mRNA precursors,mRNA transport and stability, and miRNA processing and regulation of target genes.1,2 Alternative splicing controlling the information storage and RNA translation involves the regulation of various biological processes.3,4,5 Here,we integrated the genomic information of 161 esophageal cancer(EC)samples to comprehensively evaluate the m^(6)A modification patterns and correlated the m^(6)A modification pattern with the prognosis of EC patients, where two distinct m^(6)A modification patterns were proposed. The combined effects of high m^(6)Ascore and low TMB correlated with a better prognosis of EC patients. In addition,we found an inherent correlation between m^(6)A modification and the occurrence of alternative splicing events in EC patients.Altogether,we established a scoring system to quantify the m^(6)A modification pattern with RNA alternative splicing events in individual EC patients(Fig.S1). | Lingsuo Kong Fei Gao Fangfang Zhao Ran Xia Cifeng Cai Weixin Wang Dabing Huang Zhenyu Li Qiyi Yi Chunbao Zang Youguang Pu | 2023 | Genes & Diseases2023,10,5: | 0
