3Substrate temperature effect on the photophysical and microstructural properties of fluorine-doped tin oxide nanoparticles显示文摘Transparent conducting oxide of fluorine-doped tin oxide(FTO) thin films was deposited from chemical solutions of tin chloride and ammonium fluoride using streaming process for electroless and electrochemical deposition(SPEED) at substrate temperature 450, 500, and 530 ℃ respectively. The effect of substrate temperatures on the microstructural properties such as crystallite size, dislocation density, micro strain, volume of the unit cell,volume of the nanoparticles, number of the unit cell, bond length and the lattice constants were examined using XRD technique. Only reflections from(110) and(200) planes of tetragonal SnO_2 crystal structure were obvious.The peaks are relatively weak indicating that the deposited materials constitute grains in the nano dimension. Hall measurements, which were done using van der Pauw technique, showed that the FTO films are n-type semiconductors. 4Zinc-doped CdS nanoparticles synthesized by microwave-assisted deposition显示文摘Cd_(1-x)Zn_xS nanoparticles were grown on pre-cleaned glass substrates using microwave-assisted chemical bath deposition technique. Nanoparticles obtained by this method were smooth, uniform, good adherent, brownish yellow in color where the brightness of the yellow color nature decreases with increasing Zn^(2+) content. The elemental composition analysis confirmed that the nanoparticles comprise of Cd^(2+), Zn^(2+) and S^(2-). Scanning electron microscope images confirmed the surface uniformity of the Cd_(1-x)Zn_xS nanoparticles devoid of any void,pinhole or cracks and covered the substrate well. The particle size also decreases with increasing Zn ion content.X-ray diffraction(XRD) indicates the hexagonal structure(002) without phase transition. The grain size decreases from 36.45 to 9.60 nm, dislocation density increases from 0.000745 to 0.01085 Line^2/m^2 and lattice parameter decreased from 6.868 to 6.155 nm with increasing Zn^(2+) content. The best transmittance of about 95% was achieved for xD1:0. The nanoparticles showed reduction in the absorbance as Zn ion content increased. Four point probe revealed that the electrical resistivity increased from 1.51×10^(10) to 6.67×10^(10) cm while electrical conductivity decreases from 6.62× 10^( -11) to 1.49× 10^( -11)( cm) 1with increasing Zn^(2+) content. The other electrical properties such as sheet resistance increased from 1.52× 10~8 to 1.58× 10~8, charge carrier mobility decreased from 0.777 to 0.0105 cm^2/(V s) and charge carrier density increased from 1.06 ×10^(12) to 3.95× 10^(12) cm^(-3).Abideen A.Ibiyemi Ayodeji O Awodugba Olusola Akinrinola Abass A Faremi 2017Journal of Semiconductors2017,38,9:0
5Diabetes knowledge and self-care practices among people living with type 2 diabetes mellitus in a diabetes clinic in Southwestern Nigeria显示文摘Objective:The objective of this study is to assess the knowledge and self-care practices of people living with type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM).Materials and Methods:The study was conducted in a clinic in Southwestern Nigeria.It adopted a cross-sectional design.The sample consists of 107 people living with T2DM.Data were collected using Diabetes Knowledge Questionnaire and Revised Self-care Inventory Scale.Results:The mean diabetes knowledge of the participants was 16.2±3.0 and 70.1%had inadequate knowledge of T2DM.The mean diabetes self-care practice score among the participants was 49.9±4.9,and 89.7%reported poor diabetes self-care practice.There is no significant difference in the knowledge of diabetes between male(16.42±3.42)and female(16.12±2.8)participants(t=0.45;P=0.65),and no significant difference in self-care practice of male(49.23±4.51)and female(50.06±5.07)participants(t=0.75,P=0.46).In addition,there is no correlation between age and knowledge of diabetes(r=-0.18,P=0.07)and self-care practices(r=0.08,P=0.38)of participants.No significant relationship was found between knowledge of diabetes and diabetes selfcare practices(χ^(2)=1.605,P=0.448)Conclusion:Knowledge of diabetes and self-care practices of people living with T2DM in this study were poor.Effort should be directed at improving their diabetes knowledge and self-care practices.Timothy Titilayo FAMAKINWA Oyeninhun Abimbola OLUWATOSIN Joel Olayiwola FARONBI Funmilola Adenike FAREMI Adeyemi OGUNLEYE Chinma Stella ADERETI Matthew Idowu OLATUBI 2022Journal of Integrative Nursing2022,4,4:0
