1Effect of Fe and Cu on Electrochemical Characteristics of Low-Co AB5 Type Alloys显示文摘In order to further reduce the cost of AB5 type rare earth-based hydrogen storage alloy, a low-Co AB5 type hydrogen storage alloy were by substituting Co with Cu and Fe.The characteristics of these alloys have been investigated by means of XRD, PCT, and measurement of electrochemical capacity and cycle life.The test results show that the effect of these two kinds of substituting elements on discharge capacity is Cu > Fe, and the cycle life is on the contrary.Both of them have no distinct influence on activity speed, but activity speed increases with the decrease of Co.By the order way, the high discharge rate characteristics rise with the addition of Cu and decreasing of Co.Zhu Xilin Zhou Yu Chong Fayao Li Xiaochun Pan Weilin 2004Journal of Rare Earths2004,22,z1:1

3Permineralized Calamitean Axes from the Upper Permian of Xinjiang, Northwest China and Its Paleoecological Implication显示文摘Two anatomically preserved calamitean axes are reported for the first time from the Late Permian Wutonggou Formation in the southern Bogda Mountains, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, Northwest China. Based on the anatomical features, these axes are assigned to Arthropitys. A new species Arthropitys taoshuyuanensis sp. nov. is established. A. taoshuyuanensis sp. nov. possesses a large pith and comprises large pith cavity and a narrow perimedullary zone at the nodes and diaphragms at the internodes. Carinal canals are circular and surrounded by a single layer of metaxylem tracheids. Secondary xylem is divided into interfascicular rays and fascicular wedges. Interfascicular rays are initially four to five cells wide and taper abruptly centrifugally. Fascicular wedge consists of thick-walled tracheids and thin-walled fascicular ray cells. Radial tracheid walls have uniseriate or biseriate circular pits, or scalariform pits.
