| 1 | Impacts of nano-scale pore structure and organic amine assembly in porous silica on the kinetics of CO_(2) adsorptive separation显示文摘Nano structure including pore structure and amine assembly is critical for improving sorption and desorption kinetics for adsorptive CO_(2) separation.The present work delineates(1)the influence of the nano-scale pore structure of amine-functionalized solid sorbents,and(2)effect of changing the assembly of amine molecules on surface of nano-porous SiO_(2) on the rates of adsorption and desorption of CO_(2).50PEI-MSN sorbent with inverted cone-shaped pores was prepared by using mesoporous silica nanospheres(MSN)with inverted cone-shaped pores for the loading of polyethyleneimine(PEI).Co-structure-directing(CSD)method was used to synthesize the sorbent with arranged amine assembly at nano-scale(2N-CSD).By comparison with 50PE卜SBA15 as a benchmark sorbent,both sorbents have improved sorption and desorption kinetics.There are significant effects of nano pore structure and amine assembly on the sorption and desorption kinetics.The inverted cone-shaped pores in MSN allow loading polymeric amines in their narrower ends and leaving larger pore mouths open for the transport of CO_(2);50PEI-MSN shows a maximum sorption rate of 81.4 mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1) with average sorption rate of 25.4mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1) at 80℃ which are 34%and 59%higher than the corresponding values for 50PEI-SBA15;a maximum desorption rate of 38.4mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1) with average desorption rate of 11.8 mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1) ramping from 30 to 95℃ which are 37%and 156%higher than the corresponding values for 50PEI-SBA15.The arranged monolayer-like amine assembly on surface of nanoporous SiO_(2) likely provides high amine sorption sites through improved accessibility of amine,and 2N-CSD shows a maximum sorption rate of 60.5 mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1),with average sorption rate of 12.8mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1) at 300C which are 108%and 205%higher than the corresponding values for 50PEI-SBA15;a lower maximum desorption rate of 9.7 mg g'1min'1 and average desorption rate of 9.8mg·g^(-1)·min^(-1) ramping from 30 to 95℃ which is 250%higher than the corresponding value for 50PEI-SBA15.The present work demonstrates the importance of tailoring nano-scale pore structure and amine assembly for significantly improving sorption and desorption kinetics of adsorptive CO_(2) separation. | Feijian Lou Guanghui Zhang Limin Ren Xinwen Guo Chunshan Song | 2021 | Nano Research2021,14,9: | 2 |

| 4 | Radioiodide uptake in melanoma cells after transfer of human NaI symporter gene显示文摘To obtain human sodium/iodide symporter gene cDNA for studying its potential ability as a radioiodide treatment for melanoma, the hNIS gene cDNA was amplified with total RNA from human thyroid tissue by RT-PCR. The hNIS cDNA was inserted into cloning vector pUCm-T and subcloned into eukaryotic expression vector pc-DNA3. The pc-DNA3-hNIS and pc-DNA3 were transduced into melanoma cells (B16) by electroporation, and two cell lines termed B16-A and B16-B respectively were established. The uptake and efflux of iodide was examined in vitro. The three cell lines (B16-A, B16-B, B16) were injected subcutaneously into the right flank of C57 mice. Biodistribution study and tumor imaging were performed when the tumor reached approximately 10mm in diameter. The cloned hNIS cDNA sequence was identical with the published sequence. Two novel cell lines named 16-A containing pc-DNA3-hNIS and B16-B containing pc-DNA3 only were established. The resultant cell line B16-A accumulated 17 and 19 times more radioiodide in vitro than B16 and B16-B respectively. The iodide uptake reached the half-maximal level within 10 min, and reached a plateau at 30 min. The efflux of iodide was also rapid (T1/2eff=10min). The imaging shows in vivo uptake in expected sites including the salivary glands, thyroid, stomach, and hNIS-transduced tumor, whereas the nontransduced tumor was not visualized. The %ID/g of B16-A tumors at 1, 2, 4, 12, and 24h after injec- tion of 125I were 12.22±0.71, 10.91±0.72, 8.73±0.99, 1.24±0.29, and 0.19±0.03, respectively, which were signifi- cantly higher percentages than those for controlling tumors, p<0.01. However, biologic T1/2 was about 6 h. | 5 | Masking effect of different durations of forward masker sound on acoustical responses of mouse inferior collicular neurons to probe sound显示文摘To study the effects of different durations of forward masker sound on neuronal firing and rate-intensity function(RIF)of mouse inferior collicular(IC)neurons,a tone relative to 5 dB above the minimum threshold(re MT+5 dB)of the best frequency of recorded neurons was used as forward masker sound under free field stimulation condition.The masker durations used were 40,60,80,and 100 ms.Results showed that as masker duration was increased,inhibition in neuronal firing was enhanced(P<0.0001,n=41)and the latency of neurons was lengthened(P<0.01,n=41).In addition,among 41 inhibited IC neurons,90.2%(37/41)exhibited narrowed dynamic range(DR)when masker sound duration was increased(P<0.0001),whereas the DR of 9.8%(4/41)became wider.These data suggest that masking effects of different durations of forward masker sound might be correlated with the amplitude and duration of inhibitory input to IC neurons elicited by the masker sound. | MEI Huixian GUO Yuping WU Feijian CHEN Qicai | 2006 | Frontiers in Biology2006,1,3: | 0 |
| 6 | Effect of Sequential Early Enteral Nutrition on Postoperative Rehabilitation and Complications in Gastric Cancer Patients显示文摘Objective:To analyze the effect of sequential early enteral nutrition in patients with gastric cancer after surgery.Methods:A total of 139 gastric cancer patients,treated between October 2021 and October 2023,were randomly selected and divided into two groups:Group A(68 cases,receiving early enteral nutrition)and Group B(71 cases,receiving sequential early enteral nutrition),using computer randomization.The effects of the interventions on both groups were compared.Results:Seven days post-operation,the levels of nutritional indicators in Group B were significantly higher than those in Group A(P<0.05).Group B showed significantly better levels of inflammatory factors and immune factors compared to Group A seven days post-operation(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate in Group B was 4.23%,2 significantly lower than that in Group A,which was 16.18%(χ=5.477,P=0.019).Conclusion:The utilization of sequential early enteral nutrition in gastric cancer patients after surgery demonstrated notable improvements in nutritional status and inflammation markers,along with enhanced immunity,effectively reducing postoperative complications. | Dongchou Han Qiya Feng Yingmei Fu Feijian Zhang Dazhen Chen Junmei Wu | 2024 | Proceedings of Anticancer Research2024,8,2: | 0 |
| 7 | Rapid report of seismic damage to hospitals in the 2023 Turkey earthquake sequences显示文摘The seismic performance of medical systems is crucial for the seismic resilience of communities.The report summarizes the observed damage to twelve hospital buildings in the area affected by the MW 7.8 and MW 7.5 earthquakes on February 6,2023 in Turkey.They include five base-isolated buildings and seven fixed-base buildings in southcentral Turkey's seven most heavily affected provinces.By relating the post-quake occupancy statuses of the hospitals with the estimated seismic demands during the earthquake doublet,the report offers the following observations:(1)the base-isolated hospital buildings on friction pendulum bearings generally exhibited superior performance of achieving the goal of immediate occupancy and provided better protection for nonstructural elements than fixed-base counterparts did;(2)the fixed-base hospital buildings of reinforced concrete structures constructed after 2001 successfully achieved the goal of collapse prevention even under very high seismic demands;(3)some fixed-base hospitals also remained operational even if they were very close to the fault rupture and were subjected to higher-than-design-level earthquake ground motions. | Zhe Qu Feijian Wang Xiangzhao Chen Xiaoting Wang Zhiguang Zhou | 2023 | Earthquake Research Advances2023,3,4: | 0 |
