| 1 | Transfer of small chromosome fragments of Agropyron elongatum to wheat chromosome via asymmetric somatic hybridization显示文摘The chromosome constitution of hybrids and chromation patterns of Agropyro-nelelongatum(Host)Neviski in F5 somatic hybrid lines Ⅱ -1-3 and l-1-9 between Triticum aesti-vum L.and A.elongatum were analyzed.Based on the statistic data of pollen omther cells,F5 l-1-9 and Ⅱ-1-3 had 20—21 bivalents with a frequency of 84.66% and 85.28%,of which,89.83% and 89.57% were ring bivalents.The result indicated that both hybrid lines were basically stable in the chromosome constitution and behavior.RAPD analysis showed that the two hybrids contained biparental and integrated DNA.GISH(Genome in situ hybridization)revealed that in the form of small chromosome segments,A.elongatum chromatin was scattered on 4—6 wheat chromo-somes near by the region of centromere and telomere in the two hybrid lines.SSR analysis in-dicated that A.elongatum DAN segments were distributed on the 2A,5B,6B and 2D wheat chromosomes in the hybrids,which was in accordance with the GISH results that small-segments intercalated poly-site. | WANG Jing,XIANG Fengning,XIA Guangmin & CHEN Huimin School of Life Sciences,Shandong University,Jinan 250100,China | 2004 | Science China(Life Sciences)2004,47,5: | 5 |
| 2 | ARR12 promotes de novo shoot regeneration in Arabidopsis thaliana via activation of WUSCHE Lexpression显示文摘Auxin and cytokinin direct cell proliferation and differentiation during the in vitro culture of plant cells, but the molecular basis of these processes, especially de novo shoot regeneration, has not been fully elucidated. Here, we describe the regulatory control of shoot regeneration in Arabidopsis thaliana(L.) Heynh, based on the interaction of ARABIDOPSIS RESPONSE REGULATOR12(ARR12) and WUSCHEL(WUS). The major site of ARR12 expression coincided with the location where the shoot apical meristem(SAM) initiated. The oar12 mutants showed severely impaired shoot regeneration and reduced responsiveness to cytokinin; consistent with this, the overexpression of ARR12 enhanced shoot regeneration.Certain shoot meristem specification genes, notably WUSCHEL(WUS) and CLAVATA3, were significantly downregulated in the arr1z explants. Chromatin immunoprecipitation(ChIP) and transient activation assays demonstrated that ARR12 binds to the promoter of WUS. | 3 | Cytosine methylation of the FWA promoter promotes direct in vitro shoot regeneration in Arabidopsis thaliana显示文摘Epigenetic modifications within promoter sequences can act as regulators of gene expression.Shoot regeneration is influenced by both DNA methylation and histone methylation,but the mechanistic basis of this regulation is obscure.Here,we identified 218 genes related to the regeneration capacity of callus that were differentially transcribed between regenerable calli(RC)and non-regenerable calli(NRC)in Arabidopsis thaliana.An analysis of the promoters of five of the differentially expressed genes(FWA,ACC1,TFL1,MAX3,and GRP3)pointed to an inverse relationship between cytosine methylation and transcription.The FWA promoter was demethylated and highly expressed in NRC,whereas it was methylated and expressed at low levels in RC.Explants of the hypomethylation mutants fwa-1 and fwa-2 showed strong levels of FWA expression and regenerated less readily than the wild type,suggesting that FWA inhibits direct in vitro shoot regeneration.WUSCHEL-RELATED HOMEOBOX 9(WOX9),which is required for shoot apical meristem formation,was directly repressed by FWA.Overexpressing WOX9 partly rescued the shoot regeneration defect of fwa-2 plants.These findings suggest that cytosine methylation of the FWA promoter forms part of the regulatory system governing callus regenerability and direct in vitro shoot regeneration. | Xuehuan Dai Jing Wang Yuguang Song Zhenhua Liu Tao Xue Meng Qiao Yanchong Yu Wei Xin Fengning Xiang | 2021 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,8: | 3 |

The proposed approach enhances the control system performance by switching among appropriate sliding mode controllers according to different control demands in different regions of the state space. | 5 | Analysis of diffusion behavior of harmful emissions from trackless rubber-wheel diesel vehicles in underground coal mines显示文摘To define the diffusion behavior of harmful exhaust substances from diesel vehicles and support safety risk assessments of underground coal mines,we performed a multi-species coupling calculation of the emission and diffusion of harmful substances from a trackless rubber-wheel diesel vehicle.A computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model of the diffusion of harmful emissions was hence established and verified.From the perspective of risk analysis,the diffusion behavior and distribution of hazardous substances emitted by the diesel vehicle were studied under 4 different conditions;moreover,we identified areas characterized by hazardous levels of emissions.When the vehicle idled upwind in the roadway,high-risk areas formed behind and to the right of the vehicle:particularly high concentrations of pollutants were measured near the rear floor of the vehicle and within 5 m behind the vehicle.When the vehicle idled downwind,high-risk areas formed in front of it:particularly high concentrations of pollutants were measured near the floor and within 5 m from the front of the vehicle.In the above cases,the driver would not breathe highly polluted air and would be relatively safe.When the vehicle idled into the chamber,however,high-risk areas formed on both sides of the vehicle and near the upper roof.Forward entry of the vehicle caused a greater increase in the concentration of pollutants in the chamber and in the driver’s breathing zone compared with reverse entry. | Yun Hua Wen Nie Qiang Liu Xiaofei Liu Chengyi Liu Weiwei Zhou Fengning Yu | 2022 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2022,32,6: | 1 |

| 10 | HBI1-TCP20 interaction positively regulates the CEPs-mediated systemic nitrate acquisition显示文摘Nitrate is the main source of nitrogen for plants but often distributed heterogeneously in soil.Plants have evolved sophisticated strategies to achieve adequate nitrate by modulating the root system architecture. The nitrate acquisition system is triggered by the short mobile peptides C-TERMINALLY ENCODED PEPTIDES(CEPs)that are synthesized on the nitrate-starved roots,but induce the expression of nitrate transporters on the other nitrate-rich roots through an unclear signal transduction pathway. Here,we demonstrate that the transcription factors HBI1 and TCP20 play important roles in plant growth and development in response to fluctuating nitrate supply. HBI1 physically interacts with TCP20, and this interaction was enhanced by the nitrate starvation. HBI1 and TCP20 directly bind to the promoters of CEPs and cooperatively induce their expression. Mutation in HBIs and/or TCP20 resulted in impaired systemic nitrate acquisition response.
