1Dissecting the role of AMP-activated protein kinase in human diseases显示文摘AMP-activated protein kinase(AMPK), known as a sensor and a master of cellular energy balance, integrates various regulatory signals including anabolic and catabolic metabolic processes.Accompanying the application of genetic methods and a plethora of AMPK agonists, rapid progress has identified AMPK as an attractive therapeutic target for several human diseases, such as cancer, type2 diabetes, atherosclerosis, myocardial ischemia/reperfusion injury and neurodegenerative disease. The role of AMPK in metabolic and energetic modulation both at the intracellular and whole body levels has been reviewed elsewhere. In the present review, we summarize and update the paradoxical role of AMPK implicated in the diseases mentioned above and put forward the challenge encountered. 2Effects of dietary fiber on human health显示文摘Dietary fiber(DF)is believed to provide important health benefits and it has become a research hotspot.DF exists in most natural foods,including fruits(16.74%-91.24%),vegetables(6.53%-85.19%),grains(9.76%-69.20%)and so on.DF has different physicochemical properties such as water holding capacity(WHC)(2.01-25.03 g/g),water swelling capacity(WSC)(0.95-23.90 mL/g),oil holding capacity(OHC)(0.65-29.00 g/g),glucose adsorption capacity(GAC)(0.17-4.65 mmol/g),cholesterol adsorption capacity(CAC)(0.03-37.10 mg/g)and viscosity,which make it exhibits different physiological functions such as reducing the risk of obesity,diabetes,cancer,and intestinal diseases.On the basis of consulting related databases,the physicochemical properties of DF and its derived physiological functions are reviewed.It is found that DF has effect on the prevention and treatment of obesity due to good WHC,WSC,OHC and CAC.Good GAC can relieve the symptoms of diabetes.The physicochemical properties of WHC and WSC can reduce the risk of cancer.The WHC,WSC and viscosity are beneficial to intestinal health.Yang He Bixiang Wang Liankui Wen Fengzhong Wang Hansong Yu Dongxia Chen Xin Su Chi Zhang 2022Food Science and Human Wellness2022,11,1:15

4Global practical tracking with prescribed transient performance for inherently nonlinear systems with extremely severe uncertainties显示文摘This paper considers the global practical tracking for a class of uncertain nonlinear systems. Remarkably, the systems under investigation admit rather inherent nonlinearities, and especially allow arguably the most severe uncertainties: unknown control directions and non-parametric uncertainties. Despite this,a refined tracking objective, rather than a reduced one, is sought. That is, not only pre-specified arbitrary tracking accuracy is guaranteed, but also certain prescribed transient performance(e.g., arrival time and maximum overshoot) is ensured to better meet real applications. To solve the problem, a new tracking scheme is established, crucially introducing delicate time-varying gains to counteract the severe uncertainties and guarantee the prescribed performance. It is shown that the designed controller renders the tracking error to forever evolve within a prescribed performance funnel, through which the desired tracking objective is accomplished for the systems. Particularly, by subtly specifying the funnel, global fixed-time practical tracking(i.e., that with prescribed arrival time) and semiglobal practical tracking with prescribed maximal overshoot can be achieved for the systems. 5A Survey of Ranging Algorithms and Localization Schemes in Underwater Acoustic Sensor Network显示文摘Underwater Acoustic Sensor Network(UASN) has attracted significant attention because of its great influence on ocean exploration and monitoring. On account of the unique characteristics of underwater environment, localization, as one of the fundamental tasks in UASNs, is a more challenging work than in terrestrial sensor networks. A survey of the ranging algorithms and the network architectures varied with different applications in UASNs is provided in this paper. Algorithms used to estimate the coordinates of the UASNs nodes are classified into two categories: rangebased and range-free. In addition, we analyze the architectures of UASNs based on different applications, and compare their performances from the aspects of communication cost, accuracy, coverage and so on. 6Advances in Researches on Chemical Composition and Functions of Hemerocallis Plants显示文摘The genus Hemerocallis is a kind of perennial herbaceous plants of Liliaceae and consists of about 15 species in the world,11 of which can be found in China. Some species of Hemerocallis are widely cultivated for medicinal,edible and ornamental application. Considerable progress had been made in researches on chemical composition and functions of Hemerocallis plants. Previous phytochemical studies on Hemerocallis plants have demonstrated the presence of flavonoids,anthraquinones,alkaloids,terpenoids,triterpenes and triterpenoid saponins,caffeoylquinic acid derivatives,naphthalene glycosides,steroid and steroidal saponins,phenylethanoid glycosides,and lignans. Functional activities of Hemerocallis plants are mainly manifested in sedative hypnotic,antidepressant,antioxidant,anti-tumor,hepatoprotective,antibacterial and insecticidal activities. 7Structural analysis of receptor-like kinase SOBIR1 reveals mechanisms that regulate its phosphorylation-dependent activation显示文摘Plant leucine-rich repeat(LRR)receptor-like kinases(RLKs)and LRR receptor-like proteins(RLPs)comprise a large family of cell surface receptors that play critical roles in signal perception and transduction.Both LRR-RLKs and LRR-RLPs rely on regulatory LRR-RLKs to initiate downstream signaling pathways.BRASSINOSTEROID INSENSITIVE 1-ASSOCIATED KINASE 1/SOMATIC EMBRYOGENESIS RECEPTOR KINASE 3(BAK1/SERK3)and SUPPRESSOR OF BIR1-1(SOBIR1)are important and extensively studied regulatory LRR-RLKs with distinct functions.Although the regulatory mechanism of BAK1 activation has been studied in detail,the activation mechanism of SOBIR1 remains poorly understood.Here,the crystal structures of the catalytically inactive kinase domain of SOBIR1(SOBIR1-KD)from Arabidopsis thaliana were determined in complexes with AMP-PNP and Mg^(2+).The results show that SOBIR1-KD contains a uniquely long β3-αC loop and adopts an Src-like inactive conformation with an unusual architecture at the activation segment,which comprises three helices.Biochemical studies revealed that SOBIR1 is transphosphorylated by BAK1 following its autophosphorylation via an intermolecular mechanism,and the phosphorylation of Thr529 in the activation segment and the β3-αC loop are critical for SOBIR1 phosphorylation.Further functional analysis confirmed the importance of Thr529 and the β3-αC loop for the SOBIR1-induced cell death response in Nicotiana benthamiana.Taken together,these findings provide a structural basis for the regulatory mechanism of SOBIR1 and reveal the important elements and phosphorylation events in the special stepwise activation of SOBIR1-KD,the first such processes found in regulatory LRR-RLKs.Xue Wei Yulu Wang Su Zhang Tianyi Gu Gabryel Steinmetz Haiyan Yu Guoguang Guo Xin Liu Shilong Fan Fengzhong Wang Yangnan Gu Fengjiao Xin 2022Plant Communications2022,3,2:2

9Total Focusing Method Damage Imaging in Frequency Domain Using Laser-Ultrasonic Lamb Wave Based on Time-domain Filtering in Multi-band显示文摘A fully non-contact experimental platform for ultrasonic Lamb wave damage detection was constructed,where laser exciting and the scanning laser Doppler vibrometer were used to realize the high-resolution pickup of the Lamb wave field in the structure,which has overcome the disadvantages of low spatial resolution caused by the conventional contact Lamb wave transducer.In order to suppress the dispersion effect of broadband laser-ultrasonic signal,we proposed time-domain filtering in multi-band method based on wavelet analysis to decompose the broadband signal into multiple narrowband ones and separate the scattering signals effectively without reference signal.On this basis,the total focusing method(TFM)was used for damage imaging.However,when the traditional TFM was applied to image based on ultrasonic Lamb wave,the inherent dispersion characteristic of ultrasonic Lamb wave could lead to the miscalculation of time delay,thus reducing the imaging precision.Therefore,the frequency-domain TFM was developed by applying phase delay in the frequency domain.The logical AND was introduced to synthesize the damage imaging results of multiple narrowband signals to obtain high-precision damage imaging.Our study has shown that the method of time-domain filtering in multi-band combining with frequency-domain TFM can realize non-contact and accurate damage detection in isotropic plate structures,and it is a potential effective method for application in engineering practice.Fengzhong Li Ying Luo 2021Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2021,34,3:2

19GC-MS Analysis on Form and Content of Phytosterol in the Beans from Different Producing Areas显示文摘This paper established the GC-MS method to analyze phytosterol in beans and study the content and distribution of phytosterol in green beans,red beans,black beans and soybeans in 5 main producing areas of China(Inner Mongolia,Heilongjiang,Jilin,Hebei,Shandong).This paper used GC-MS method to analyze the content and distribution of campesterol,stigmasterol,sitostanol,brassicasterol,ergosterol,cycloartanol,cycloartenol,2,4-methylenecycloartanol,spinasterol,cholesterol and cholestanol in the beans from different producing areas.Results showed that the content of sterol in green beans was higher than in three other kinds of beans,and the content of sterol in red beans was the lowest.Different producing areas had a significant impact on the content of sterol in beans,and the dominant producing areas included Inner Mongolia and Heilongjiang.The study provided a basis for quality assessment and nutritional evaluation of beans and provided a reference for traceability and variety distinction study of other edible beans.Donghui WANG Yue ZHANG Bei FAN Lijing ZHANG Chao SHEN Fengzhong WANG 2017Asian Agricultural Research2017,9,8:1
