1Alkali metal cation doping of metal-organic framework for enhancing carbon dioxide adsorption capacity显示文摘Metal-organic frameworks(MOFs) have attracted much attention as adsorbents for the separation of CO2 from flue gas or natural gas. Here,a typical metal-organic framework HKUST-1(also named Cu-BTC or MOF-199) was chemically reduced by doping it with alkali metals(Li, Na and K) and they were further used to investigate their CO2 adsorption capacities. The structural information, surface chemistry and thermal behavior of the prepared adsorbent samples were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), thermo-gravimetric analysis(TGA)and nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherm analysis. The results showed that the CO2 storage capacity of HKUST-1 doped with moderate quantities of Li+, Na+and K+, individually, was greater than that of unmodified HKUST-1. The highest CO2 adsorption uptake of 8.64mmol/g was obtained with 1K-HKUST-1, and it was ca. 11% increase in adsorption capacity at 298 K and 18 bar as compared with HKUST-1. Moreover, adsorption tests showed that HKUST-1 and 1K-HKUST-1 displayed much higher adsorption capacities of CO2 than those of N2. 2Capture of carbon dioxide from flue gas on TEPA-grafted metal-organic framework Mg_2 (dobdc)显示文摘Carbon dioxide(CO2) adsorption on a standard metal-organic framework Mg2(dobdc)(Mg/DOBDC or Mg-MOF-74) and a tetraethylenepentamine(TEPA) modified Mg2(dobdc)(TEPA-Mg/DOBDC) were investigated and compared. The structural information, surface chemistry and thermal behavior of the adsorbent samples were characterized by X-ray powder difraction(XRD), infrared spectroscopy(IR), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) and nitrogen adsorption-desorption isotherm analysis. CO2adsorption capacity was measured by dynamic adsorption experiments with N2-CO2mixed gases at 60°C. Results showed that the CO2adsorption capacity of Mg/DOBDC was significantly improved after amine modification, with an increase from 2.67 to 6.06 mmol CO2/g adsorbent.Moreover, CO2adsorption on the TEPA-Mg/DOBDC adsorbent was promoted by water vapor, and the adsorption capacity was enhanced to 8.31 mmol CO2/g absorbent. The adsorption capacity of the TEPA-Mg/DOBDC adsorbent dropped only 3% after 5consecutive adsorption/desorption cycles. 3Adsorption of carbon dioxide on amine-modified TiO_2 nanotubes显示文摘TiO2 nanotubes (TiNT) were prepared by a hydrothermal treatment and modified by three kinds of amines,namely ethylenediamine,polyetherimide and tetraethylenepentamine (TEPA),to study their CO2 adsorption properties from gas streams.The resultant samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy,and infrared spectroscopy,as well as low temperature N 2 adsorption.CO2 capture was investigated in a dynamic packed column at 30℃.TEPA-modified TiO2 nanotubes showed the highest adsorption capacity of 167.64 mg/g because it had the highest amino-group content among the three amines.CO2 fixation on TiNT impregnated by TEPA was investigated at 30,50,and 70℃,and the adsorption capacity increased slightly with temperature.Following the adsorption step,the sorbents were regenerated by temperature programmed desorption,and the TiNT-TEPA sample,as CO2 sorbent,was found to be readily regenerated and energy-efficient.The cycle test also revealed that the TiNT-TEPA adsorbent is fairly stable,with only a 5% drop in the adsorption capacity after 10 adsorption/desorption cycles.In addition,the CO2 adsorption behavior was investigated with the deactivation model,and which showed an excellent prediction for the TiNT-TEPA breakthrough curves.Fujiao Song Yunxia Zhao Qin Zhong 2013Journal of Environmental Sciences2013,25,3:3

13Bioengineering strategies for the treatment of peripheral arterial disease显示文摘Peripheral arterial disease(PAD)is a progressive atherosclerotic disorder characterized by narrowing and occlusion of arteries supplying the lower extremities.Approximately 200 million people worldwide are affected by PAD.The current standard of operative care is open or endovascular revascularization in which blood flow restoration is the goal.However,many patients are not appropriate candidates for these treatments and are subject to continuous ischemia of their lower limbs.Current research in the therapy of PAD involves developing modalities that induce angiogenesis,but the results of simple cell transplantation or growth factor delivery have been found to be relatively poor mainly due to difficulties in stem cell retention and survival and rapid diffusion and enzymolysis of growth factors following injection of these agents in the affected tissues.Biomaterials,including hydrogels,have the capability to protect stem cells during injection and to support cell survival.Hydrogels can also provide a sustained release of growth factors at the injection site.This review will focus on biomaterial systems currently being investigated as carriers for cell and growth factor delivery,and will also discuss biomaterials as a potential stand-alone method for the treatment of PAD.Finally,the challenges of development and use of biomaterials systems for PAD treatment will be reviewed.Cui Li Oliver Kitzerow Fujiao Nie Jingxuan Dai Xiaoyan Liu Mark A.Carlson George P.Casale Iraklis I.Pipinos Xiaowei Li 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,3:0
