2Effect of Interaction of Non-residual Fractions on Adsorption of Atrazine onto Surficial Sediments and Natural Surface Coating Samples显示文摘To quantify the effect of the interaction of non-residual fractions[Fe oxides(Fe), Mn oxide(Mn), organic materials(OMs)] in the surficial sediments and the natural surface coating samples on the adsorption of atrazine(AT), an AT multiple regression adsorption model(AT-MRAM) was developed. The AT-MRAM improves upon the previous AT additional adsorption model(AT-AAM) with superior goodness-of-fit test(adjusted R2=ca.1.000), F-test and t-test(P<0.01), and reveals the effect of the interaction among the components in the surficial sediments(SSs) and na- tural surface coatings samples(NSCSs) on the adsorption of AT, which was neglected by the AT-AAM. Meanwhile, the AT-MRAM was also verified through adsorption experiments of AT and the relative deviation between predicted maximum adsorption of AT and the experimental one is less than 15%. The resulted information shows that Mn is prone to interact with other non-residual components, the total maximum adsorption of AT is inversly proportional to the level of Mn, and Fe and OMs facilitate the adsorption of AT. The results also indicate that the adsorption of AT is not only dominated by Fe, OMs, Fe/OMs, but also restrained by Fe/Mn, Fe/Mn/OMs, with lesser roles attributed to Mn, and the estimated AT distributions among the components do not agree with that previously predicted by the AT-AAM, especially with the relative contribution of Mn to the adsorption of AT, revealing significant contribution of the interactions among non-residual components in controlling the behavior of AT in aquatic environments.LI Yu LI Shan-shan GAO Qian WANG Ao 2011Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2011,27,2:9
3Measurement of Atrazine Adsorption onto Surficial Sediments(Natural Surface Coatings)——New Evidence for the Importance of Fe Oxides显示文摘To reveal the relative contribution of the components,Fe,Mn oxides or organic materials(OMs) in the surficial sediments(SSs),and the natural surface coating samples(NSCSs) to adsorbing atrazine(AT),a selective chemical extraction technique was employed,to remove the different components,and the adsorption characteristics of AT on the SSs and the NSCSs were investigated.The observed adsorptions of AT on the original and extracted SSs and NSCSs were analyzed by nonlinear least squares fitting(NLSF) to estimate the relative contribution of the com-ponents.The results showed that the maximum adsorption of AT on the NSCSs was greater than that in the SSs,be-fore and after extraction treatments,implying that the NSCSs were more dominant than the SSs for organic pollutant adsorption.It was also found that the Fe oxides,OMs,and residues in SSs(NSCSs) facilitated the adsorption of AT,but Mn oxides directly or indirectly restrained the interaction of AT with SSs(NSCSs) particles.The contribution of the Fe oxides to AT adsorption was more than that of OMs;the greatest contribution to AT adsorption on a molar ba-sis was from the Fe oxides in the nonresidual fractions,indicating that the Fe oxides played an important role in con-trolling the environmental behavior of AT in an aquatic environment.LI Yu WANG Ao GAO Qian WANG Xiao-li 2009Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2009,25,1:7
4Synergetic and Antagonistic Effects of Cadmium on Adsorption of Atrazine on Surficial Sediments显示文摘Co-contamination of atrazine(AT) and cadmium(Cd) on the surficial sediments(SSs) and natural suface coating samples(NSCSs) was investigated via thermodynamic adsorption experiments. The results show that surface coatings have a stronger ability to adsorb AT owing to their higher active components compared with surficial sediments. Synergetic and antagonistic effects of Cd on the adsorption of AT were observed. Cd at a lower concentra- tion(≤4.0 mg/L) in the solid/liquid phase enhanced AT adsorption onto the surficial sediments(surface coatings), while the adsorption of AT would be inhibited at a Cd concentration of more than 8.0 mg/L: AT coordinates strongly to Cd, and AT-Cd complexes seem to be more strongly adsorbed on sediments than AT alone, and at the adsorption of AT can take place on the sites where Cd has been previously adsorbed and Cd acts as a bridge for the interaction between sediments and AT. With the increase of Cd concentration, the superfluous Cd may hold much more adsorption sites and thus inhibits the adsorption of AT. Meanwhile, the effects of co-existed AT on Cd adsorption on SSs(NSCSs) were insignificant since Cd has a stronger competitive ability to be absorbed on SSs(NSCSs). 5Reverse Genetic Analysis of Transcription Factor Os Hox9, a Member of Homeobox Family, in Rice显示文摘Homeobox transcription factors participate in the growth and development of plants by regulating cell differentiation, morphogenesis and environmental signal response. To reveal the functions of these transcription factors in rice, we constructed the RNAi vectors of Os Hox9, a member of homeobox family, and analyzed the function of Os Hox9 using reverse genetics. The plant height and tillering number of RNAi transgenic plants decreased compared with those of wild-type plants. Reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction analysis showed that Os Hox9 expression reduced in the transgenic plants with phenotypic variance, whereas that in the transgenic plants without phenotypic variance was similar to that in the wild-type plants. This result suggests that the phenotypes of the transgenic plants were caused by RNAi effects. The tissue-specificity of Os Hox9 expression indicated that it was expressed in different organs, with high expression in stem apical meristem and young panicles. 6Genetic architecture and key genes controlling the diversity of oil composition in rice grains显示文摘Rice grain oil is a valuable nutrient source.However,the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains remains unclear.In this study,we performed a genome-wide association study on oil composition and oil concentration in a diverse panel of 533 cultivated rice accessions.High variation for 11 oil-related traits was observed,and the oil composition of rice grains showed differentiation among the subpopulations.We identified 46 loci that are significantly associated with grain oil concentration or composition,16 of which were detected in three recombinant inbred line populations.Twenty-six candidate genes encoding enzymes involved in oil metabolism were identified from these 46 loci,four of which(PAL6,LIN6,MYR2,and ARA6)were found to contribute to natural variation in oil composition and to show differentiation among the subpopulations.Interestingly,population genetic analyses revealed that specific haplotypes of PAL6 and LIN6 have been selected in japonica rice.Based on these results,we propose a possible oil biosynthetic pathway in rice grains.Collectively,our results provide new insights into the genetic basis of oil biosynthesis in rice grains and can facilitate marker-based breeding of rice varieties with enhanced oil and grain quality.Hao Zhou Duo Xia Pingbo Li Yiting Ao Xiaodong Xu Shanshan Wan Yanhua Li Bian Wu Huan Shi Kaiyue Wang Guanjun Gao Qinglu Zhang Gongwei Wang Jinghua Xiao Xianghua Li Sibin Yu Xingming Lian Yuqing He 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:4
7Flight dynamics characteristics of canard rotor/wing aircraft in helicopter flight mode显示文摘The aerodynamic layout of the Canard Rotor/Wing(CRW) aircraft in helicopter flight mode differs significantly from that of conventional helicopters. In order to study the flight dynamics characteristics of CRW aircraft in helicopter mode, first, the aerodynamic model of the main rotor system is established based on the blade element theory and wind tunnel test results. The aerodynamic forces and moments of the canard wing, horizontal tail, vertical tail and fuselage are obtained via theoretical analysis and empirical formula. The flight dynamics model of the CRW aircraft in helicopter mode is developed and validated by flight test data. Next, a method of model trimming using an optimization algorithm is proposed. The flight dynamics characteristics of the CRW are investigated by the method of linearized small perturbations via Simulink. The trim results are consistent with the conventional helicopter characteristics, and the results show that with increasing forward flight speed, the canard wing and horizontal tail can provide considerable lift,which reflects the unique characteristics of the CRW aircraft. Finally, mode analysis is implemented for the linearized CRW in helicopter mode. The results demonstrate that the stability of majority modes increases with increasing flight speed. However, one mode that diverges monotonously,and the reason is that the CRW helicopter mode has a large vertical tail compared to the conventional helicopter. 8lonization and dissociation of acetonitrile by intense femtosecond laser pulse显示文摘Photoionization and photodissociation of CH3CN were studied by a linear time of flight mass spectrometer coupled with 800 nm, 50 fs laser pulses at intensities of 6.3×1013-1.2×1014 W/cm2. The laser power dependences for principal ions CH3CN+, CH2CN+, CHCN+ and CCN+ were measured, which are consistent with the numbers of photons required to produce the ions via multiphoton ionization and dissociation. 10Celastrol suppresses colorectal cancer via covalent targeting peroxiredoxin 1显示文摘As a terpenoids natural product isolated from the plant Thunder God Vine,Celastrol is widely studied for its pharmacological activities,including anti-tumor activities.The clinical application of Celastrol is strictly limited due to its severe side effects,whereas previously revealed targets and mechanism of Celastrol seldom reduce its in vivo toxicity via structural optimization.Target identification has a far-reaching influence on the development of innovative drugs,and omics data has been widely used for unbiased target prediction.However,it is difficult to enrich target of specific phenotype from thousands of genes or proteins,especially for natural products with broad promising activities.Here,we developed a text-mining-based web-server tool to enrich targets from omics data of inquired compounds.Then peroxiredoxin 1(PRDX1)was identified as the ROS-manipulating target protein of Celastrol in colorectal cancer.Our solved high-resolution crystal structure revealed the unique covalent binding mode of Celastrol with PRDX1.New derivative compound 19-048 with improved potency against PRDX1 and selectivity towards PRDX2~PRDX6 were synthesized based on crystal structure analysis.Both Celastrol and 19-048 effectively suppressed the proliferation of colorectal cancer cells.The anti-tumor efficacy of Celastrol and 19-048 was significantly diminished on xenograft nude mice bearing PRDX1 knock-down colorectal cancer cells.Several downstream genes of p53 signaling pathway were dramatically up-regulated with Celastrol or 19-048 treatment.Our findings reveal that the side effects of Celastrol could be reduced via structural modification,and PRDX1 inhibition is promising for the treatment of colorectal cancer.Heng Xu Hongfang Zhao Chunyong Ding Defang Jiang Zijie Zhao Yang Li Xiaoyu Ding Jing Gao Hu Zhou Cheng Luo Guoqiang Chen Ao Zhang Ying Xu Hao Zhang 2023Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,3:3
11A New Steel Teeming Technology by Using Electromagnetic Induction Heating System in Ladle显示文摘In order to overcome the pollution of the tratitional nozzle sand into the molten steel in tundish,a new method is proposed in this paper.In this method,the nozzle sand is substituted with iron-carbon alloy particles which have the same or similar compositions as the liquid steel.During casting processes,iron-carbon alloy forms solidification shell and the sintered layer in the upper nozzle to block the molten steel.When the slide gate is opened,the eletromagnetic induction heating is used to melt them so as to achieve 100%smoothly steel teeming.The electromagnetic induction heating effects were analyzed theoretically in the new slide gate system.Then the new method has been experimentally tested by using self-designed experimental device.The results show that the electromagnetic induction heating can complete the steel teeming within the required time.Furthermore,this steel-teeming technology can further improve the cleanliness of liquid steel.LI De-jun WANG Qiang LIU Xing-an Gao Ao WANG Xue-bin DONG Jie KATSUKIYO Marukawa HE Ji-cheng 2012Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2012,19,S2:3

13Effects of infusing milk precursors into the artery on rumen fermentation in lactating cows显示文摘This experiment was conducted to investigate the effects of infusing milk precursors into the external pudic artery on rumen fermentation in lactating dairy cows. Eight multiparous Holstein cows were randomly assigned to Group A(experimental group) and Group B(control group) with 4 cows each. A2×4 complex factor crossover design was used. Cows in Group A were fed corn straw as the only roughage, and cows in Group B were fed mixed roughage. The experiment was divided into two periods.In the first period, cows in Group A, received treatments: 1) a basal infusate as a control(CSC); 2) a milk fat precursor infusion including C16:0, C18:0, C18:1 c9, C18:2 c6, C18:3 n3, acetic acid(CSF); 3) a milk protein precursor infusion including 16 amino acids(CSA); 4) the mixed infusion of milk fat and protein precursors(CSFA). And meanwhile, cows in Group B were infused the basal infusate as a control group. In the second period, the cows in both Groups A and B were crossed over, which cows in Group A were named as Group B and the cows originally in Group B were in Group A. The experimental results showed that cows in experimental group had higher ruminal pH compared with the control, and ruminal pH in CSC, CSF, CSA were significantly higher than those in their respective control group(P < 0.05). The concentration of ammonia nitrogen(NH_3-N) was significantly higher in CSA and CSFA compared with Group B(P < 0.05). We also observed that the infusion of mixed amino acids significantly increased the bacterial protein(BCP) content in rumen(P < 0.05) and influenced the rumen acetic acid concentration as well as the acetic to propionic ratio(P < 0.05). Milk fat precursors infusion significantly affected butyric acid concentration(P < 0.05). In addition, the content of lipopolysaccharide(LPS) in CSA was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05). It is concluded that the milk precursors infused into external pudic artery caused feedback effects on ruminal fermentation under the corn straw roughage conditions. 14An Outbreak of SARS in a Diabetes Room of a General Hospital without Infected Medical Staff显示文摘Objective To investigate the epidemiologic features of an outbreak of SARS that occurred in a single diabetes room of a general hospital in Beijing in late March 2003.Methods Field investigation was carried out in the ward,the nursing log and the hospitalization medical record of correlative patients were consulted.SARS-CoV in serum specimen from SARS patient was detected by PCR.Results The room where SARS outbreak occurred was on the 13th floor of the 16-story main ward building.There were 6 beds in the room,living with 6 female patients(aged 45-67)who were all hospitalized due to type2 diabetes.On March 24,2003,Patient 1 began to have a fever and cough,chest X-ray showed pneumonia.Five and six days later,Patient 2 and Patient 3 began to have a fever,respectively.Finally,all of these 3 patients died.Their beds were all at the same side of the room,and the other 3 patients at the opposite side were not infected.Serum SARS CoV-RNA of the Patient 3 was positive by nest-PCR.The daughter-in-law of Patient 1who accompanied Patient 1 by the bedside several days,mainly near the window,upwind of Patient 1,was not infected.Medical staff,family members and visitors of the 6 patients were not infected.Conclusions This outbreak was not transmitted by aerosol.The distance droplets travels could be up to 3.43 meters.Droplet spread has direction,and the droplets direction of propagation is closely related with the wind direction and speed.Those at the downwind position of SARS patients were susceptible to be infected.Medical staff wore face masks and good natural ventilation of this ward building may be important reasons for the prevention of infection.Chun-ling Liu Jun Cheng He Gao Bo Zhang Qun Yuan Ao Tong Yi-an Liang Hong Tang Xiao-hong Guan 2013国际感染病学(电子版)2013,2,4:3
15Wuzi Yanzong prescription(五子衍宗丸)from Traditional Chinese Medicine for male infertility:a narrative review显示文摘Wuzi Yanzong prescription(WYP),as a classical prescription for male infertility with kidney essence deficiency,is composed of Gouqizi(Fructus Lycii),Tusizi(Semen Cuscutae),Wuweizi(Fructus Schisandrae Chinensis),Fupenzi(Fructus Rubi Chingii)and Cheqianzi(Semen Plantaginis).It has been used for hundreds of years in the treatment of male infertility,known as“the first prescription of ancient and modern seeds”,with convincing clinical evidence.At present,more than 100 chemical compounds have been isolated from WYP,including polysaccharide,fatty acids,flavonoids,phenylpropanoids,organic acids,alkaloids,terpenoids,etc.Pharmacological and clinical studies show that WYP has an obvious effect on reproductive system diseases,especially male infertility,which has a very wide application prospect.It also has effects on the nervous system,inhibiting liver injury,lowering blood sugar and blood lipid,anti-aging,improving immunity,resisting hypoxia and fatigue effects.This study reviewed the chemical constituents,quality control,pharmacology,and clinical application of WYP.There is no doubt about the clinical value of WYP,but its quality control system is not perfect,pharmacological mechanism is not fully explained,and clinical applications need to be reevaluated.Therefore,the follow-up researches should proceed from the theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)and clinical applications,further explain the theoretical connotation,reveal the mechanism of action,and provide the basis for the secondary development of classic famous prescriptions.In addition,WYP is mostly used in combination with western medicines besides being used alone.Whether it can improve the efficacy and reduce side effects will also be a meaningful research direction in the future.CHEN Zhimin AO Mingyue LIAO Yujiao YU Lingying YANG Zhuo HU Lin LI Wenbing HU Changjiang GAO Yongxiang 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,2:3

18High birth weight and its interaction with physical activity influence the risk of obesity in early school-aged children显示文摘Background High birth weight(HBW)is associated with childhood obesity,but with inconsistent results.This study investigated the relationship between HBW and childhood obesity,and further explored the interaction of HBW with behavioral and socio-economic determinants of obesity.Methods This cross-sectional study enrolled 1906 grade-two children of Guangzhou,China,from June to November,2016.Overweight/obesity corresponded to a body mass index higher than the sex–age-specific criteria.Abdominal obesity was assessed using the sex-specific waist–height ratio cutoffs.The association of HBW with obesity was evaluated in multivariable logistic regression model.The relative excess risk due to interaction(RERI)and the attributable proportion of interaction(AP)indices were used to measure additive interaction,while applying the interaction of OR index for multiplicative interaction assessment.Results Children with HBW had an increased risk of overweight/obesity[odds ratio(OR)=2.42,95%confidence interval(CI)=1.56–3.76]compared with those without HBW.Significant additive interaction of HBW with physical activity was found for overweight/obesity[relative excess risk due to interaction(RERI)=2.69,95%CI=0.62–4.75;attributable proportion of interaction(AP)=0.72,95%CI=0.42–1.02].The HBW children with insufficient activity had higher odds of overweight/obesity compared to the non-HBW children with sufficient activity(OR=3.75,95%CI=2.06–6.83).In addition,we identified a significant interaction of HBW with household income for abdominal obesity(RERI=1.20,95%CI=0.02–2.37;AP=0.76,95%CI=0.16–1.36).Conclusions HBW confers an increased risk for childhood overweight/obesity.Physical activity attenuates the effect of HBW on overweight/obesity,and HBW possibly synergistically interacts with high household income to promote abdominal obesity in childhood.Jia-Ru Deng Wei-Qing Tan Shu-Yi Yang Li-Ping Ao Jian-Ping Liang Li-Xia Li Yan-Hui Gao Yi Yang Li Liu 2020World Journal of Pediatrics2020,16,4:2
19Progress in the beam commissioning of separated function RFQ accelerator显示文摘Separated Function RFQ (SFRFQ) was proposed as a post accelerator of RFQ to accelerate heavy ions at low frequency. It introduces gap accelerating in the quadrupole electrodes, and therefore it has higher accelerating efficiency than the conventional RFQ accelerator. The first SFRFQ prototype cavity has been specially designed and constructed as a post accelerator to accelerate O+ beam from 1.03 MeV to 1.64 MeV. Based on accomplishment of low power measurement and high power test, the beam commissioning was carried out to verify its feasibility.
