1Early tectonic uplift of the northern Tibetan Plateau显示文摘The Hexi Corridor is the northmost foreland basin of the Tibetan Plateau and its formation is controlled by the northern marginal fault of Tibet, Altyn Tagh Fault (ATF)-North Qilian Shan marginal Fault (NQF), and the southern Kuantan Shan-Longshou Shan Fault (KLF). So its study is important to understanding the mechanism of Tibet formation and its influence on global climate change. The oldest Cenozoic sediments in the Corridor is the Huoshaogou Formation which consists of terrigenous fine conglomerate, sandstone, sandy mudstone and mudstone, depositing in alluvial to lacustrine and fan delta sedimentary environments. Detailed paleomagnetic measurements of this sequence at Yumen clearly reveal eleven pairs of normal and reversed polarities. Fossil mammals found around the section support that most of the observed polarities can be well correlated with chrons between 13n and 18r of the standard geomagnetic polarity time scale, yielding ages of 40.2-33.35 Ma. The mean declinations of this sequence and its immediately above stratigraphy indicate an 18.3° rapid clockwise rotation of the Hexi Corridor. Since this sequence has been strongly folded and is capped by an angular unconformity, we think that the presence of the thick alluvial fan conglomeration at the bottom of the foreland basin may indicate the initial deformation and uplift of the northern Qilian Shan. This process could occur at latest at 40.2 Ma, driven by the faults NQF and KLF that thrust onto the Hexi corridor respectively from its southern and northern margins. These faults are in an early response to the collision of India with Asia, while the unconformable termination and rotation of the Huoshaogou Formation at ~33.35 Ma indicate other early episode of rapid tectonic deformation and uplift of the northern Tibet.DAI Shuang FANG Xiaomin SONG Chunhui GAO Junping GAO Donglin LI Jijun 2005Chinese Science Bulletin2005,50,15:30

5A Multi–fluid Constrain for the Forming of Potash Deposits in the Savannakhet Basin: Geochemical Evidence from Halite显示文摘The Khorat Plateau on the Indochina Terrane is known to have formed during the closure of the Tethys Ocean, although the origin of its potash mineral deposits is a topic of current debate. Data from a borehole on Savannakhet Basin is used in this study to re-define the evaporation processes of the study area. Geochemical analyses of halite from various borehole-derived evaporite strata have elucidated the fluid sources from which these ores formed. Measured δ11 B indicated that ore deposits formed primarily due to evaporation of seawater, although non-marine fluids affected the later stages of the evaporation process. Fluctuations in B and Br concentrations in carnallite-and sylvite-rich strata indicate the influence of fresh water. Boron concentration in carnallite unit indicated the influence of hydrothermal fluids. From the relative timings of these various fluid influxes, the evolution of these evaporates can be divided into four stages:(1) an initial marine evaporation at the beginning of the deposit's formation, where seawater(and minor fresh water) trapped on the uplifted Khorat Plateau produced sediments and salts with Br contents lower than those of normal marine-derived evaporites;(2) a transgression stage, where seawater recharged the basin;(3) a hydrothermal infiltration stage, which was coeval with the late Yanshan movement; and(4) a stage of fresh water supply, as recorded by fluctuations in B and Br contents, inferring intermittent fresh water influx into the basin. 6Improved spectrum reconstruction technique based on chirp rate modulation in stepped-frequency SAR显示文摘To improve the efficiencies of the traditional spectrum reconstruction techniques, an improved spectrum reconstruction technique(ISRT) based on chirp rate modulation(CRM) is proposed. With the help of a CRM operation, a reconstructed wideband signal with a narrow pulse width can be obtained. Compared with the traditional time domain spectrum reconstruction technique(TSRT), ISRT is less time-consuming since much less samples are needed. Compared with the traditional frequency domain spectrum reconstruction technique(FSRT), the reconstructed signal is a chirp signal, which has no limitation on the subsequent imaging algorithm.What is more, processing steps of ISRT are optimized, and the computational burden is less than that of TSRT and FSRT. 8Bessel–Gauss photon beams with fractional order vortex propagation in weak non-Kolmogorov turbulence显示文摘We model the effects of weak fluctuations on the probability densities and normalized powers of vortex models for the Bessel–Gauss photon beam with fractional topological charge in the paraxial non-Kolmogorov turbulence channel. We find that probability density of signal vortex models is a function of deviation from the center of the photon beam, and the farther away from the beam center it is, the smaller the probability density is. For fractional topological charge, the average probability densities of signal/crosstalk vortex modes oscillate along the beam radius except the half-integer order. As the beam waist of the photon source grows, the average probability density of signal and crosstalk vortex modes grow together. Moreover, the peak of the average probability density of crosstalk vortex modes shifts outward from the beam center as the beam waist gets larger. The results also show that the smaller index of non-Kolmogorov turbulence and the smaller generalized refractive-index structure parameter may lead to the higher average probability densities of signal vortex modes and lower average probability densities of crosstalk vortex modes. 10Geochemistry and Zircon U-Pb Geochronology of Early Paleozoic S-type Granites in the Eastern Qilian Block,Northwest China显示文摘The Qilian Block(QB)is a Precambrian micro-continent located in the northeastern Qinghai–Tibet Plateau.Prevalent Lower Paleozoic granitic magmatic rocks crop out in the QB.A new integrated study of zircon U-Pb ages and systematic whole-rock geochemical data for the Xindian,Dongjiazhuang and Xiaogaoling granites in the eastern segment of the QB constrains their emplacement ages,petrogenesis,and regional evolutionary history.U-Pb dating reveals that the Xindian granite was emplaced 454 Ma,and both the Dongjiazhuang and Xiaogaoling granites were emplaced ca.440 Ma.Geochemical study shows that all granites belong to the high-K calc-alkaline to shoshonitic series and are S-type granites formed by partial melting of continental crust,mainly metagraywacke.We infer that these ca.454–445 Ma granites formed in a syn-collisional setting during the continental collisional between the Qaidam and Qilian blocks.LIU Xiuting LI Binkai HAN Jilong REN Erfeng GAO Donglin DU Yongsheng REN Qianhui ZHANG Yan 2021Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2021,95,2:1

17Sensory nerves directly promote osteoclastogenesis by secreting peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase D(Cyp40)显示文摘Given afferent functions,sensory nerves have recently been found to exert efferent effects and directly alter organ physiology.Additionally,several studies have highlighted the indirect but crucial role of sensory nerves in the regulation of the physiological function of osteoclasts.Nonetheless,evidence regarding the direct sensory nerve efferent influence on osteoclasts is lacking.In the current study,we found that high levels of efferent signals were transported directly from the sensory nerves into osteoclasts.Furthermore,sensory hypersensitivity significantly increased osteoclastic bone resorption,and sensory neurons(SNs)directly promoted osteoclastogenesis in an in vitro coculture system.Moreover,we screened a novel neuropeptide,Cyp40,using an isobaric tag for relative and absolute quantitation(iTRAQ).We observed that Cyp40 is the efferent signal from sensory nerves,and it plays a critical role in osteoclastogenesis via the aryl hydrocarbon receptor(AhR)-Ras/Raf-p-Erk-NFATc1 pathway.These findings revealed a novel mechanism regarding the influence of sensory nerves on bone regulation,i.e.,a direct promoting effect on osteoclastogenesis by the secretion of Cyp40.Therefore,inhibiting Cyp40 could serve as a strategy to improve bone quality in osteoporosis and promote bone repair after bone injury.Junqin Li Bin Liu Hao Wu Shuaishuai Zhang Zhuowen Liang Shuo Guo Huijie Jiang Yue Song Xing Lei Yi Gao Pengzhen Cheng Donglin Li Jimeng Wang Yang Liu Di Wang Nazhi Zhan Jing Xu Lin Wang Guozhi Xiao Liu Yang GuoXian Pei 2023Bone Research2023,11,4:0
18Unveiling mitophagy-mediated molecular heterogeneity and development of a risk signature model for colorectal cancer by integrated scRNA-seq and bulk RNA-seq analysis显示文摘Background:Accumulating researchers have recognized mitophagy as a key player in tumors,but few studies have investigated its role in the tumor microenvironment(TME).Advances in the technology of single-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)have allowed unveiling the concealed features of the TME at cellular resolution.This study aimed to elucidate the role of mitophagy within the TME of colorectal cancer(CRC)and to establish a mitophagy-mediated risk model.Methods:We assessed mitophagy-related pathway activities at both single-cell and tissue levels.Subsequently,an unsupervised clustering algorithm was employed to identify mitophagy-mediated subtypes.Furthermore,we developed a mitophagy-mediated risk signature(MMRS)using least absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)Cox analysis and constructed a MMRS model incorporating the risk score and clinical variables.Subsequently,we used quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction analysis to verify the expression of the screened genes.Results:We retrieved and annotated a total of 14,719 cells from eight samples in the scRNA-seq GSE132465 data set.The activities of mitophagy-related pathways were uniformly upregulated in cancer cells.Integrating with bulk RNA-seq data,we identified two mitophagy-mediated clusters(C1 and C2)with distinct characteristics and prognoses.C2 was identified as a mitophagy-high cluster.Then,we developed a five-gene MMRS via LASSO Cox analysis in The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)cohort.We utilized the GSE39582 cohort to validate the efficacy of our model.The expression of CX3CL1 and INHBB was upregulated in CRC tissues.Conclusions:The present study identified two mitophagy-mediated CRC subtypes with distinct features.Our MMRS may provide potential therapeutic strategies for CRC.The findings of our work offer novel insights into the involvement of mitophagy in CRC.Han Gao Qi Zou Linyun Ma Keyu Cai Yi Sun Li Lu Donglin Ren Bang Hu 2023Gastroenterology Report2023,11,1:0
19External rectal prolapse:abdominal or perineal repair for men?A retrospective cohort study显示文摘Background:External rectal prolapse is a relatively rare disease,in which male patients account for a minority.The selection of abdominal repair or perineal repair for male patients has rarely been investigated.Methods:Fifty-one male patients receiving abdominal repair(laparoscopic ventral rectopexy)or perineal repair(Delorme or Altemeier procedures)at the Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University(Guangzhou,China)between March 2013 and September 2019 were retrospectively analysed.We compared the recurrence,complication rate,post-operative defecation disorder,length of stay,and quality of life between the abdominal and perineal groups.Results:Of the 51 patients,45 had a complete follow-up,with a median of 48.5 months(range,22.8–101.8 months).A total of 35 patients were under age 40 years.The complication rate associated with abdominal repair was less than that associated with perineal repair(0%vs 20.7%,P=0.031)and the recurrence rate was also lower(9.5%vs 41.7%,P=0.018).Multivariate analysis showed that perineal repair(odds ratio,9.827;95%confidence interval,1.296–74.50;P=0.027)might be a risk factor for recurrence.Moreover,only perineal repair significantly improved post-operative constipation status(preoperative vs post-operative,72.4%vs 25.0%,P=0.001).There was no reported mortality in either of the groups.No patient’s sexual function was affected by the surgery.Conclusions:Both surgical approaches were safe in men.Compared with perineal repair,the complication rate and recurrence rate for abdominal repair were lower.However,perineal repair was better able to correct constipation.Bang Hu Qi Zou Zhenyu Xian Dan Su Chao Liu Li Lu Minyi Luo Zixu Chen Keyu Cai Han Gao Hui Peng Wuteng Cao Donglin Ren 2022Gastroenterology Report2022,10,1:0
20Effects of Echinacea Polysaccharide on Expression of NF-κB Protein Secreted by LPS-injured IEC-6 Cells显示文摘[Objective] The paper was to explore effects of Echinacea polysaccharide( EPS) on expression of NF-κB protein secreted by LPS-injured IEC-6 cells,and to provide a theoretical basis for clinical application of Echinacea purpurea against bacterial diseases and enhancement of immunity. [Method] Nucleoprotein extracted from IEC-6 cells in normal control group,LPS group,different concentrations of EPS( 50,100,200,500 μg/m L) + LPS groups were detected by SDSPAGE electrophoresis,and the content of NF-κB protein was analyzed using western blotting method. [Result] The content of NF-κB protein in normal control group was the lowest,while that in LPS group was the highest. The content of NF-κB protein in EPS group gradually decreased with the increasing concentration of EPS. [Result]The expression of NF-κB protein increased when IEC-6 cells were stimulated by LPS,and EPS could effectively inhibit increased expression of NF-κB protein.
