1Experimental Investigation on Vibration Control of Rotor-bearing System with Active Magnetic Exciter显示文摘Vibration control is an efficient way to minimize a rotating machine's vibration level so that its vibration fault-free can be realized.While,several factors,such as unbalance,misalignment and instability,contribute to the serious vibration of rotating machines.It is necessary that one apparatus can depress vibration caused by two or more reasons.The fault self-recovery(FSR) mechanism is introduced and investigated.Strategies of vibration control are investigated theoretically using numerical method firstly.Active magneticelectric exciter(AME) are selected as the actuator of a FSR device because it can provide suitable force by varying the control current in the exciters depending upon a proportional and derivative control law.By numerical study,it is indicate that only a small control force is needed to improve stability margins of the compressor and prevent subsynchronous vibration fault efficiently.About synchronous vibration,three control strategies,searching in whole circle,fast optimizing control(FOC),and none mistaking control,are investigated to show which of the control strategy can realize the fault self-recovery in the shortest time.Experimental study is conducted on a test rig with variable rotating speed.Results of the test indicate that the non-mistake control strategy can minimize synchronous vibration in less than three seconds.The proposed research can provide a new insight for subsynchronous and synchronous vibration restraining about centrifugal compressor.WANG Weimin GAO Jinji HUANG Liquan XIN Zhengqiu 2011Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2011,24,6:11
2A Review on Self-Recovery Regulation(SR)Technique for Unbalance Vibration of High-End Equipment显示文摘The high-end equipment represented by high-end machine tools and aero-engines is the core component of the national intelligent manufacturing plan,and the mass unbalance is the main reason for its excessive vibration,that seriously impacts the operation efficiency and running life of the equipment.In order to change the traditional way that the fault of equipment can only be repaired by human,the self-recovery mechanism of human and animal are given to the equipment in this paper,which forms the self-recovery regulation(SR)system for unbalance vibration of high-end equipment.The system can online generate the self-recovery force to restrain the unbalance vibration of the equipment in operation,which is an important direction for the development of the equipment to the advanced intelligent stage.Based on the basic principles of SR technique,the typical engineering application cases of this technique in the field of aeroengine and high-end machine tools are introduced,and four related studies promoting the development of this technique are summarized and analyzed in turn.It includes feature extraction,imbalance location,regulation method and balancing actuator.Self-recovery Regulation(SR)Technique is an important way to realize intelligent manufacturing and intelligent maintenance.Relevant research can lay a technical foundation for the development of high-end equipment with self-health function.Xin Pan Jiaqiao Lu Jiaji Huo Jinji Gao Haiqi Wu 2020Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2020,33,6:7

4Research on active disturbance rejection control method for turbine blade tip clearance显示文摘Blade tip clearance(BTC) is one of the key factors affecting the efficiency and reliability of high performance turbomachinery such as heavy duty steam turbines, aircraft engines and other gas turbo machines. The self-adjusting ability of BTC according to the operation condition changing is important to meet the requirement of performance. In this paper, the principle and method of adjusting the BTC by controlling the axial displacement of the rotor were proposed and studied. The basic principle is that the BTC of the turbomachinery with a conical tail shroud will be affected by the axial displacement of rotor and thereby can be adjusted by controlling the axial position of rotor, which can be adjusted by the controllable oil pressure acting on the thrust bearing. To reach a higher control precision, lower noise and model perturbation, an adaptive quasi-sliding mode control(AQSMC) algorithm based on the disturbance observer(DOB) was designed, and numerical and experimental investigations were carried out. The numerical simulation results show that this algorithm can not only effectively suppress the disturbance, but also, compared with the general reaching law, effectively reduce the chattering and transient high gain switching effect of the closed-loop controller system and avoid the instability caused by the controller. Based on the DOB-AQSMC algorithm, the BTC was stabilized within 2 s with no overshoot and no misalignment in the test rig, and this algorithm achieves a better control performance than the proportion-integral-differential(PID) algorithm. 5Optimal Design of Novel Electromagnetic-Ring Active Balancing Actuator with Radial Excitation显示文摘Imbalance vibration is a typical failure mode of rotational machines and has significant negative effects on the efficiency,accuracy,and service life of equipment.To automatically reduce the imbalance vibration during the operational process,different types of active balancing actuators have been designed and widely applied in actual production.However,the existing electromagnetic-ring active balancing actuator is designed based on an axial excitation structure which can cause structural instability and has low electromagnetic driving efficiency.In this paper,a novel radial excitation structure and the working principle of an electromagnetic-ring active balancing actuator with a combined driving strategy are presented in detail.Then,based on a finite element model,the performance parameters of the actuator are analyzed,and reasonable design parameters are obtained.Self-locking torque measurements and comparative static and dynamic experiments are performed to validate the self-locking torque and driving efficiency of the actuator.The results indicate that this novel active balancing actuator has sufficient self-locking torque,achieves normal step rotation at 2000 r/min,and reduces the driving voltage by 12.5%.The proposed novel balancing actuator using radial excitation and a combination of permanent magnets and soft-iron blocks has improved electromagnetic efficiency and a more stable and compact structure.Xin Pan Xiaotian He Haiqi Wu Chuanlong Ju Zhinong Jiang Jinji Gao 2021Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2021,34,1:2
6Insights into wing dimorphism in worldwide agricultural pest and hostalternating aphid Aphis gossypii显示文摘Background:The worldwide pest Aphis gossypii has three-winged morphs in its life cycle,namely,winged parthenogenetic female(WPF),winged gynopara(GP),and winged male,which are all produced by a wingless parthenogenetic female(WLPF).Most studies on A.gossypii have focused on WPF,while few have investigated GP and male.The shared molecular mechanism underlying the wing differentiation in the three wing morphs of A.gossypii remains unknown.The wing differentiation of WPF was explored in a previous study.Herein,GP and male were induced indoors.The characters of the body,internal genitals,wing veins,and fecundity of GP and male were compared with those of WPF or WLPF.Compared with WLPF,the shared and separate differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified in these three-wing morphs.Results:Newly-born nymphs reared in short photoperiod condition(8 L:16D,18°C)exclusively produced gynoparae(GPe)and males in adulthood successively,in which the sex ratio was GP biased.A total of 14 GPe and 9 males were produced by one mother aphid.Compared with WLPF,the three-wing morphs exhibited similar morphology and wing vein patterns but were obviously discriminated in the length of fore-and underwings,reproductive system,and fecundity.A total of 37090 annotated unigenes were obtained from libraries constructed using the four morphs via RNA sequencing(RNA-Seq).In addition,10867 and 19334 DEGs were identified in the pairwise comparison of GP versus WLPF and male versus WLPF,respectively.Compared with WLPF,the winged morphs demonstrated 2335 shared DEGs(1658 upregulated and 677 downregulated).The 1658 shared upregulated DEGs were enriched in multiple signaling pathways,including insulin,FoxO,MAPK,starch and sucrose metabolism,fatty acid biosynthesis,and degradation,suggesting their key roles in the regulation of wing plasticity in the cotton aphid.Forty-four genes that spanned the range of differential expression were chosen to validate statistical analysis based on RNA-Seq through the reverse transcription quantitative real time polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR).The comparison concurred with the expression pattern(either up-or downregulated)and supported the accuracy and reliability of RNA-Seq.Finally,the potential roles of DEGs related to the insulin signaling pathway in wing dimorphism were discussed in the cotton aphid.Conclusions:The present study established an efficiently standardized protocol for GP and male induction in cotton aphid by transferring newly-born nymphs to short photoperiod conditions(8 L:16D,18°C).The external morphological characters,especially wing vein patterns,were similar among WPFs,GPe,and males.However,their reproductive organs were strikingly different.Compared with WLPF,shared(2335)and exclusively(1470 in WLPF,2419 in GP,10774 male)expressed genes were identified in the three-wing morphs through RNA-Seq,and several signaling pathways that are potentially involved in their wing differentiation were obtained,including insulin signaling,starch and sucrose metabolism.JI Jichao HUANGFU Ningbo LUO Junyu GAO Xueke NIU Lin ZHANG Shuai CUI Jinjie 2021Journal of Cotton Research2021,4,1:2

17Fracture mechanics of methane clathrate hydrates显示文摘Fundamental mechanics of gas hydrates is of importance to evaluating geomechanical and geotechnical properties of gas hydrate deposits,but it remains largely unexplored yet due to insufficient direct experimental techniques and high-quality of gas hydrate samples.Here,classic molecular dynamic(MD)simulations are used to study the fracture mechanics of three main methane clathrate hydrates of sI,sII and sH types.The results show that the mechanical properties of those three methane clathrate hydrates are intrinsically different and are degraded by the presence of nanocracks.They show brittle facture and different fracture toughness.In terms of energy release rate,they are ranked as sH>sI>sII.Moreover,the three methane clathrate hydrates with nanocracks can be explained by a modified Griffith criterion.Moreover,it is intriguingly identified tip amorphization during the crack propagation process of the three methane clathrate hydrates,and sH methane clathrate hydrate with specific nanocrack exhibits slower crack propagation than other two methane clathrate hydrates.Jinjie Liu Ke Xu Li Yang Yanwen Lin Tong Li Xuezheng Gao Zhisen Zhang Jianyang Wu 2021Acta Mechanica Sinica2021,37,9:1
18Calculation and Test of Hitting Force of Firing Bullet on the Bulletproof Helmet显示文摘In this paper the hit force of firing bullet on bulletproof helmet has been computed and the test device has been described. The device is divided into two parts: 1) The bullet, helmet and mould are in one system, using moment theorem to calculate the hit force; 2) The mould, sensor and support pole are in one system, using the method in reference [1] that measures the dynamic strain and displacement of simulate target of bulletproof clothes. We compute the transfigure energy and momentum energy when hitting the mould, the work done by the sensor and the expend energy of support pole. We get the hit force of helmet using energy balance principle.
