3Observations of marine snow and fecal pellets in a sediment trap mooring in the northern South China Sea显示文摘Sediment traps are an important tool for studying the source, composition and sedimentation processes of sinking particulate matter in the ocean. An in situ observational mooring(TJ-A-1) is located in the northern South China Sea(20.05°N, 117.42°E) at a water depth of 2 100 m and equipped with two sediment traps deployed at 500 m and 1 950 m. Samples were collected at 18-day intervals, and 20 samples were obtained at both depths from May 2014 to May 2015. Large amounts of fecal matter and marine snow were collected in the lower trap. The fluxes of marine snow and fecal pellets exhibited a fluctuating decrease between May 2014 and early August 2014 and then stabilized at a relatively low level. Scanning electron microscopy observations revealed that the main components of the marine snow and fecal pellets were diatoms, coccolithophores, radiolarians, and other debris, all of which are planktons mostly produced in photic zone. Used in conjunction with the particle collection range estimates from the lower trap and data on ocean surface chlorophyll, these marine snow and fecal pellets were related to the lateral transport of deep water and not vertical migrations from overlying water column. 5Effects of Clinker Contents of Different C_3A and C_4AF on the Performance of PSC Cement显示文摘Phosphogypsum-slag-clink (PSC) cement were prepared by original phosphogypsum(PG), which was grinded after dried at 60 ℃ combined with different contents of phosphogypsum (15%, 20%, 30%), and a small amount of different C3A, C4AF contents of finely ground cement clinker, and ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS). Physical mechanical and sugaring properties were studied. The results show that compressive strength of PSC cement with 20% phosphogypsum at 3 d ages would be higher than 17 MPa and even 50 MPa at 28 days. Compressive strength at longer curing stage and sugaring properties of PSC with lower content of C3A higher C4AF clinker were improved. pH value of PSC cement system at early stage was relatively low, and pH gradually increased with the addition of clinker. pH increased firstly and then decreased with the hydration stage. 9Simulation of thermal expansion mismatch at high temperature显示文摘The thermal expansion mismatch between cement mortar and aggregate at high temperature is one of the main reasons causing the deterioration of concrete at high temperature.In this study,the thermal damage of concrete caused by the thermal expansion mismatch between aggregate and cement mortar was investigated using a meso-scale concrete model.The meso-scale concrete model is composed of mortar,aggregate and the interfacial transition zone(ITZ).Laboratory tests on the mechanical properties of cement mortar at high temperature were conducted to provide the necessary mechanical parameter for the meso-scale concrete model.The simulation results show that the particle size,content,distribution and mechanical properties of the aggregate have an effect on the thermal damage of concrete at high temperature.The smaller the particle size of concrete aggregate and the higher the elastic modulus of aggregate,the greater the damage of concrete under high temperature.Due to the increasing thermal expansion difference between aggregate and cement mortar,and the deterioration of the cement mortar with the increasing temperature,the damage of concrete increased sharply after 500℃.Zhifei Gao Linbing Wang Hongtao Zhang 2023Underground Space2023,,1:0
