4Remimazolam benzenesulfonate anesthesia effectiveness in cardiac surgery patients under general anesthesia显示文摘BACKGROUND Sedation with propofol injections is associated with a risk of addiction,but remimazolam benzenesulfonate is a comparable anesthetic with a short elimination half-life and independence from cell P450 enzyme metabolism.Compared to remimazolam,remimazolam benzenesulfonate has a faster effect,is more quickly metabolized,produces inactive metabolites and has weak drug interactions.Thus,remimazolam benzenesulfonate has good effectiveness and safety for diagnostic and operational sedation.AIM To investigate the clinical value of remimazolam benzenesulfonate in cardiac surgery patients under general anesthesia.METHODS A total of 80 patients who underwent surgery in the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery from August 2020 to April 2021 were included in the study.Using a random number table,patients were divided into two anesthesia induction groups of 40 patients each:remimazolam(0.3 mg/kg remimazolam benzenesulfonate)and propofol(1.5 mg/kg propofol).Hemodynamic parameters,inflammatory stress response indices,respiratory function indices,perioperative indices and adverse reactions in the two groups were monitored over time for comparison.RESULTS At pre-anesthesia induction,the remimazolam and propofol groups did not differ regarding heart rate,mean arterial pressure,cardiac index or volume per wave index.After endotracheal intubation and when the sternum was cut off,mean arterial pressure and volume per wave index were significantly higher in the remimazolam group than in the propofol group(P<0.05).After endotracheal intubation,the oxygenation index and the respiratory index did not differ between the groups.After endotracheal intubation and when the sternum was cut off,the oxygenation index values were significantly higher in the remimazolam group than in the propofol group(P<0.05).Serum interleukin-6 and tumor necrosis factor-αlevels 12 h after surgery were significantly higher than before surgery in both groups(P<0.05).The observation indices were re-examined 2 h after surgery,and the epinephrine,cortisol and blood glucose levels were significantly higher in the remimazolam group than in the propofol group(P<0.05).The recovery and extubation times were significantly lower in the remimazolam group than in the propofol group(P<0.05);there were significantly fewer adverse reactions in the remimazolam group(10.00%)than in the propofol group(30.00%;P<0.05).CONCLUSION Compared with propofol,remimazolam benzenesulfonate benefited cardiac surgery patients under general anesthesia by reducing hemodynamic fluctuations.Remimazolam benzenesulfonate influenced the surgical stress response and respiratory function,thereby reducing anesthesia-related adverse reactions.Fang Tang Jian-Min Yi Hong-Yan Gong Zi-Yun Lu Jie Chen Bei Fang Chen Chen Zhi-Yi Liu 2021World Journal of Clinical Cases2021,9,34:19
5Production of transgenic blastocyst by nuclear transfer from different types of somatic cells in cattle显示文摘The present study examined the effects of genetic manipulation to the donor cell and different types of transgenic donor cells on developmental potential of bovine nuclear trans-fer (NT) embryos. Four types of bovine somatic cells, including granulosa cells, fetal fibroblasts, fetal oviduct epithelial cells and fetal ovary epithelial cells, were transfected with a plasmid (pCE-EGFP-Ires-Neo-dNdB) containing the enhanced green fluorescent protein (EGFP) and neomycin-resistant (Neor) genes by electroporation. After 14 days selection with 800 mg/mL G418, transgenic cell lines from each type of somatic cells were obtained. Nontransgenic granulosa cells and all 4 types of transgenic somatic cells were used as nuclear donor to produce transgenic embryos by NT. There was no significant difference in development rates to the blas-tocyst stage for NT embryos from transgenic and nontransgenic granulosa cells (44.6% and 42.8%, respectively), and transfer of NT embryos derived from transgenic and nontransgenic granulosa cells to recipients resulted in similar pregnancy rates on day 90 (19% and 25%, re-spectively). The development rates to the blastocyst stage of NT embryos were significantly dif-ferent among different types of transgenic donor cells (P<0.05). Blastocyst rates from fetal ovi-duct epithelial cell and granulosa cell (49.1% and 44.6%, respectively) were higher than those from fetal fibroblast (32.7%) and fetal ovary epithelial cell (22.5%). These results suggest that (i) genetic manipulation to donor cells has no negative effect on in vitro and early in vivo develop-mental competence of bovine NT embryos and (ii) granulosa and fetal oviduct epithelial cells can be used to produce transgenic bovine NT embryos more efficiently. 6Memetic computation based on regulation between neural and immune systems: the framework and a case study显示文摘Lamarckian learning has been introduced into evolutionary computation to enhance the ability of local search. The relevant research topic, memetic computation, has received significant amount of interest. In this study, a novel memetic computational framework is proposed by simulating the integrated regulation between neural and immune systems. The Lamarckian learning strategy of simulating the unidirectional regulation of neural system on immune system is designed. Consequently, an immune memetic algorithm based on the Lamarckian learning is proposed for numerical optimization. The proposed algorithm combines the advantages of immune algorithms and mathematical programming, and performs well in both global and local search. 7Gait analysis of patients with knee osteoarthritis before and after Chinese massage treatment显示文摘The objective of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Chinese massage therapy in patients with knee osteoarthritis(OA) by measuring lower-limb gait parameters. We recruited 20 women with knee OA,who then underwent Chinese massage therapy three times per week for 2 weeks. The patients underwent gait evaluation using a six-camera infrared motion analysis system. They completed Western Ontario and Mc Master Universities Osteoarthritis Index questionnaires before and after treatment. We calculated the forward speed,step width,step length,total support time percentage,initial double support time percentage,and single support time percentage. We also measured the angles at the knee,hip,and ankle during the stance phase of walking. The results showed statistically significant mean differences in knee pain relief,alleviation of stiffness,and physical function enhancement after therapy(P < 0.05). The patients gained significantly faster gait speed,greater step width,and increased total support time percentage after the Chinese massage therapy(P < 0.05). There were no significant differences in the range of motion or initial contact angles of the knee,hip,or ankle during the stance phase of walking. We concluded that Chinese massage is a beneficial complementary treatment and an alternative therapy choice for patients with knee OA for short-term pain relief. 9Societal response to challenges of global change and human sustainable development显示文摘It is now widely accepted that carbon emission from human activities is an important driving force in global warming, and global change has a deep impact on sustainable development of human society. To meet the challenges of global change, the international community has reached a consensus that developed countries take strict actions in emission reduction, whereas developing countries take spontaneous efforts in reducing emissions under the guiding principle of common but differentiated responsibilities, with an agreed goal to restrict global surface temperature increase due to human activities to within 2℃ of pre-industrial levels. However, there is no clear pathway to reach this goal. A number of related questions must be addressed on principles to be followed, research emphasis and policy measures. Here we argue that response policies to address global change issues must be based on balanced development at regional and international levels, and on advancements in science and technology. This requires consideration of harmony not only between humans and nature but also within human societies, to properly deal with the relationship between global change and sustainable development. We must make equal efforts toward carbon emission reduction and carbon sequestration, and toward mitigation and adaptation. There should be more research support to reduce uncertainties in our understanding of global change. Addressing the challenges of global change creates great opportunities for the development of human society. 10Mutational Analysis of Region-cytotoxicity Relationship in Human Transmembrane Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha显示文摘Objective:To determine the region of human transmembrane tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TM-TNFa), essential for cytotoxic activity a-gainst human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Methods:Single amino-acid-substituted TM-TNFα mutant proteins (muteins) were produced by in vitro transcription linked translation techniques. The cDNA of TM-TNFα was site-directed mutagenized by recombinant PCR. Results:13 single amino-acid substituted TM-TNFα muteins were generated and assayed for cytotoxic activity. The cytotoxic activities of TM-TNFα muteins, eg, TM-TNFα-71/Lys, -28/Phe and 117/Leu were significantly decreased (P<0.01) compared to that of parent TM-TNFα, 143/Tyr decreased 4-folds, and-17/Thr,-39/Ser,ll9/His,35/Gly,95/Cys and 147/Phe decreased 1.5-2.5-folds, respectively. However, the cytotoxic activities of TM-TNFα-8/Arg, 31/Gly and 87/Phe showed no significant change. Conclusion:These results indicate that the regions associated with cytotoxic-activity of TM-TNFα are different with that of secretory TNF-lpha (S-TNFα). 11Effect of Chinese massage(Tui Na) on isokinetic muscle strength in patients with knee osteoarthritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE: Chinese massage(Tui Na) is one of the most popular Traditional Chinese Medicine remedies for knee osteoarthritis(OA). Several studies have subjectively evaluated the effect of Chinese massage on knee OA through self-assessment questionnaires; however, very few studies have objectively assessed the effect by measuring knee muscle strength. The purpose of this study was to assess the efficacy of Chinese massage in improving knee extensor and flexor muscle strength in patients with knee OA.METHODS: Thirty patients with knee OA received Chinese massage therapy three times per week for 2 weeks. Patients completed pre- and post-treatment Visual Analogue Scale(VAS) pain questionnaires, and pre- and post-treatment knee muscle strength was evaluated using the Biodex Multi-Joint System 3. Isokinetic muscle strength measurements were performed at 60 degrees/s and 180 degrees/s. The peak torque(PT), peak torque/body weight(PT/BW), total work(TW), average power(AP), hamstring/quadriceps(H/Q), and range of motion(ROM) values were recorded separately for flexors and extensors.RESULTS: Chinese massage therapy significantly improved knee pain as assessed by the VAS in patients with knee OA(P < 0.05). Post-treatment values were significantly greater than pre-treatment values in the extensor muscles for PT(right P =0.013, left P = 0.001), PT/BW(right P = 0.008, left P =0.001) and TW(right P = 0.036, left P = 0.004) at 60 degrees/s. The AP increased significantly after treatment in the flexor muscles in the right knee(P =0.009) and the extensor muscles in the left knee(P = 0.001). 12QTL Mapping of Isoflavone,Oil and Protein Contents in Soybean (Glycine max L.Merr.)显示文摘Soybean(Glycine max L.Merr.) is the world's foremost source of edible plant oil and proteins,meantime,the biologically active secondary metabolites such as saponins and isoflavones are benefit to human health.The objective of this study was to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) and epistatic interactions associated with isoflavone,protein,and oil contents in soybean seeds.An F13 recombinant inbred line(RIL) comprising 474 lines was derived from a cross between Jindou 23 and Huibuzhi cultivars.SSR technique was employed for mapping of the QTLs.The QTLs for isoflavone,protein,and oil contents were analyzed and 23 QTLs were detected based on the constructed linkage map.Six QTLs for isoflavone content were localized in linkage groups J,N,D2,and G,eleven QTLs for oil content were localized in the linkage groups A1,A2,B2,C2,and D2,and six QTLs for protein content were localized in linkage groups B2,C2,G,and H1.The correlative analysis demonstrated that the isoflavone content had significant correlation with protein content,while significantly negative correlations was existed between oil and protein content,and significantly positive correlations was existed between protein and oil content.All these findings have laid an important basis for the marker assisted breeding in soybean.The phenotypic correlations of quantitative traits may be resulted from the correlation of the QTL controlling those traits.LIANG Hui-zhen YU Yong-liang WANG Shu-feng LIAN Yun WANG Ting-feng WEI Yan-li GONG Peng-tao LIU Xue-yi FANG Xuan-jun ZHANG Meng-chen 2010Agricultural Sciences in China2010,9,8:13

18Zonal disintegration phenomenon in enclosing rock mass surrounding deep tunnels——Elasto-plastic analysis of stress field of enclosing rock mass显示文摘The zonal disintegration phenomenon (ZDP) is a typical phenomenon in deep block rock masses. In order to investigate the mechanism of ZDP, an improved non-linear Hoek-Brown strength criterion and a bi-linear constitutive model of rock mass were used to analyze the elasto-plastic stress field of the enclosing rock mass around a deep round tunnel. The radius of the plastic region and stress of the enclosing rock mass were obtained by introducing dimensionless parameters of radial distance. The results show that tunneling in deep rock mass causes a maximum stress zone to appear in the vicinity of the boundary of the elastic and the plastic zone in the surrounding rock mass. 20Unlocking the door to highly efficient Ag-based nanoparticles catalysts for NaBH4-assisted nitrophenol reduction显示文摘Ag-based nano particles(NPs)catalysts have recently attracted in creasi ng atte ntion in NaBH4-assisted n itrophe nol reducti on,especially in 4?n itrophe nol(4?NP)reducti on.Moreover,Ag-based NPs catalysts are con sidered to be very promising for practical applicati ons because of their fascinating advantages,e.g.,easy preparation,relatively low cost and less toxicity,high activity and good stability.Basically,the size and shape of Ag NPs are well known as the key factors for achieving highly efficient catalytic reduction of 4-NP.In this review,three highly efficient Ag-based NPs catalysts(supported Ag NPs,anisotropic Ag NPs and bimetallic Ag NPs)are highlighted for the 4-NP reduction,in eluding the catalytic mecha nism and reactio n rate caused by their adjustments in size and shape.Although high catalytic activity has bee n demonstrated by several Ag-based NPs catalysts,further improvement in the catalytic performance is still desired.In terms of the most recent progress in Ag-based NPs catalysts for 4?NP reduction,this review provides a comprehensive assessment on the material selection,synthesis and catalytic characterizations of these catalysts.Moreover,this review aims to correlate the catalytic performance of Ag-based NPs catalysts with their size and shape,guiding the development of novel cost-effective and high-performance catalysts.Guangfu Liao Yan Gong Liu Zhong Jiasheng Fang Li Zhang Zushun Xu Haiyang Gao Baizeng Fang 2019Nano Research2019,12,10:9
