| 1 | Multi-functional forward osmosis draw solutes for seawater desalination显示文摘Forward osmosis(FO), as one of the emerging desalination technologies, has the potential to produce fresh water from a variety of water sources by utilizing the osmotic pressure gradient across a semi-permeable membrane.Draw solution, as an essential component of any FO process, can extract water molecules from seawater or wastewater. An ideal draw solution should meet three essential requirements, namely high osmotic pressure, low reverse flux, and facile regeneration mechanism. The selection of proper draw solutes is especially critical for an energy-efficient FO process since the energy consumption mostly arises from the separation or regeneration of the draw solution. Recently, we developed a few multi-functional FO draw solutes, mainly aiming to enhance the FO water flux and to explore facile re-concentration methods. | 4 | An In-Memory-Computing Design of Multiplier Based on Multilevel-Cell of Resistance Switching Random Access Memory显示文摘Due to the Von Neumann bottleneck,in-memory-computing, as a new architecture, has drawn considerable attention and is becoming an candidate of next generation electronics system. It presents an inmemory-computing approach for multiplier design based on Multilevel-cell(MLC) of Resistive random access memories(RRAMs). The paper proposes a Look-up-table(LUT) operations to optimize the speed, area and power of the multiplier circuits. The proposed MLC function of RRAM revealed that RRAM could have a multilevel stable resistance by adjusting the operating voltage. | 16 | Numerical simulation of flash reduction in a drop tube reactor with variable temperatures显示文摘A computational fluid dynamics(CFD)model was developed to accurately predict the flash reduction process,which is considered an efficient alternative ironmaking process.Laboratory-scale experiments were conducted in drop tube reactors to verify the accuracy of the CFD model.The reduction degree of ore particles was selected as a critical indicator of model prediction,and the simulated and experimental results were in good agreement.The influencing factors,including the particle size(20–110μm),peak temperature(1250–1550°C),and reductive atmosphere(H_(2)/CO),were also investigated.The height variation lines indicated that small particles(50μm)had a longer residence time(3.6 s)than large particles.CO provided a longer residence time(~1.29 s)than H_(2)(~1.09 s).However,both the experimental and analytical results showed that the reduction degree of particles in CO was significantly lower than that in H2 atmosphere.The optimum experimental particle size and peak temperature for the preparation of high-quality reduced iron were found to be 50μm and 1350°C in H2 atmosphere,and40μm and 1550°C in CO atmosphere,respectively. | Yiru Yang Qipeng Bao Lei Guo Zhe Wang Zhancheng Guo | 2022 | International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2022,29,2: | 1 |
