1Biofilm Microenvironment-Responsive Nanotheranostics for Dual-Mode Imaging and Hypoxia-Relief-Enhanced Photodynamic Therapy of Bacterial Infections显示文摘The formation of bacterial biofilms closely associates with infectious diseases.Until now,precise diagnosis and effective treatment of bacterial biofilm infections are still in great need.Herein,a novel multifunctional theranostic nanoplatform based on MnO_(2)nanosheets(MnO_(2)NSs)has been designed to achieve pH-responsive dual-mode imaging and hypoxia-relief-enhanced antimicrobial photodynamic therapy(aPDT)of bacterial biofilm infections.In this study,MnO_(2)NSs were modified with bovine serum albumin(BSA)and polyethylene glycol(PEG)and then loaded with chlorin e_(6)(Ce_(6))as photosensitizer to form MnO_(2)-BSA/PEG-Ce_(6)nanosheets(MBP-Ce_(6)NSs).After being delivered into the bacterial biofilm-infected tissues,the MBP-Ce_(6)NSs could be decomposed in acidic biofilm microenvironment and release Ce_(6)with Mn^(2+),which subsequently activate both fluorescence(FL)and magnetic resonance(MR)signals for effective dual-mode FL/MR imaging of bacterial biofilm infections.Meanwhile,MnO_(2)could catalyze the decomposing of H2O_(2)in biofilm-infected tissues into O_(2)and relieve the hypoxic condition of biofilm,which significantly enhances the efficacy of aPDT.An in vitro study showed that MBP-Ce_(6)NSs could significantly reduce the number of methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus(MRSA)in biofilms after 635nm laser irradiation.Guided by FL/MR imaging,MRSA biofilm-infected mice can be efficiently treated by MBP-Ce_(6)NSs-based aPDT.Overall,MBP-Ce_(6)NSs not only possess biofilm microenvironment-responsive dual-mode FL/MR imaging ability but also have significantly enhanced aPDT efficacy by relieving the hypoxia habitat of biofilm,which provides a promising theranostic nanoplatform for bacterial biofilm infections.Weijun Xiu Siyu Gan Qirui Wen Qiu Qiu Sulai Dai Heng Dong Qiang Li Lihui Yuwen Lixing Weng Zhaogang Teng Yongbin Mou Lianhui Wang 2020Research2020,,1:7
2Monitoring of Land-Cover Dynamic Change in Lancangjiang River Cascaded Hydropower Area显示文摘The analysis of the 3 stages’ (1988,1996,2000) variation of land-cover is performed according to Thematic Mapper (TM) and Enhancement Thematic Mapper(ETM) satellite image by combining ground GIS database with GPS field collected data in the area of Xiaowan-Dachaoshan Reservoirs of Lancangjiang River cascaded Hydropower Area. Consequently, the land-cover is divided into five subclasses, namely water, paddy field and wetland, bare dryland and sparse shrub, secondary forest and density forest. The result showed that the areas of bare land, upland and secondary forest decreased in 1988-1996, whereas from 1996 to 2000, water body and density forest keep invariability while the areas of paddy field and wetland, bare dryland and sparse scrub increasing and the area of secondary forest decrease; Features of reciprocal transformation between density forest and other type of land-cover had two points, i.e. secondary forest, bare dryland and sparse shrub converted to density forest; and density forest converted to secondary forest and paddy field and wetland. 3Enhancing lignin degradation by Mn^(2+)ion supplementation to assist enzymatic hydrolysis of cellulose in a two-stage pretreatment of bamboo显示文摘It is of great significance to reveal a key agent to improve the efficiency of conversion of lignocellulosic biomass to fermentable sugars for the production of bioethanol.This study investigated a two-stage pretreatment of bamboo comprising a microbial treatment using Ceriporiopsis sp.followed by a hydrothermal treatment to facilitate the process with Mn^(2+)as an accelerator.The effects of Mn^(2+)nutritional addition on ligninolytic activity,lignin degradation,total weight loss,pulp yield,sugar yield and sugars in the soluble fraction were examined.The results showed that the time required for the incubations supplemented with Mn^(2+)to achieve sufficient lignin degradation and sugar yield from both the pulp and soluble fractions was significantly shortened,whereas all three ligninolytic activities were significantly decreased.The enzyme activity varied according to the presence of Mn^(2+),although the amount and species of the expressed protein are similar.Considering the cost,microbial treatment with a one-time fed-batch supply of metal nutrition(MnSO4)was the most preferable contribution to hydrothermal pretreatment,resulting in 19.7%lignin degradation,66.7%pulp yield and 26.1%sugar yield over a period of 21 d.It was proven that microbial treatment by solid state incubation with Mn^(2+)nutrition has the potential to be a low-cost,environmentally friendly alternative to chemical approaches.Liu Jian Gan Lihui Long Minnan 2017International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,3:0
