3Effect of Unit Cell Shape on Switchable Infrared Metamaterial VO_(2)Absorbers/Emitters显示文摘Metamaterial absorber/emitter is an important aspect of infrared radiation manipulation.In this paper,we proposed four simple switchable infrared metamaterial absorbers/emitters with Ag/VO_(2)disks on the Ag plane employing triangle,square,hexagon,and circle unit cells.The spectral absorption peaks whose intensities are above 0.99 occur at~4μm after structure optimization when VO_(2)is in insulating state and disappear when VO_(2)becomes metallic state.The simulated electromagnetic field reveals that the spectral absorption peaks are attributed to the excitation of magnetic polariton within the insulating VO_(2)spacer layer,whose values exceed 1.59 orders of magnitude higher than the incident magnetic field.Longer resonant wavelength would be excited in square arrays because its configuration is a better carrier of charges at the same spans.For absorption stability,the absorbers/emitters with square and circular structures do not have any change with the polarization angles changing from 0°to 90°,due to the high rotational symmetric structure.And four absorbers/emitters reveal similar shifts and attenuations under different incident angles.We believed that the switchable absorber/emitter demonstrates promising applications in the sensing technology and adaptive infrared system.Feifei Ren Jinxin Gu Hang Wei Gaoping Xu Jiupeng Zhao Shuliang Dou 2021Research2021,,1:0
4A Comparison of the Effects of Pentoxifylline on Quality of Fresh and Frozen-thawed Bull Spermatozoa显示文摘[Object]This study aimed to examine the effects of 3,7-dimethyl-1-(5-oxo-hexyl)-xanthine(pentoxifylline,PF)on the motility,mitochondrial activity,acrosome integrity and fertilization rate of spermatozoa in both fresh and frozen-thawed bull semen.[Method]Fresh and frozen-thawed bull spermatozoa were exposed to 5 mmol/L PF with untreated samples as controls.[Result]Fresh spermatozoa showed reduced(P<0.05)motility after 2 h incubation with PF whereas,surprisingly,frozen-thawed samples exhibited increased sperm motility(P<0.05)after 2 h incubation with PF and they also showed enhanced longevity compared to controls.Mitochondrial activity in both fresh and frozen-thawed bull spermatozoa increased(P<0.05)during 4 h incubation with PF whereas acrosome integrity remained unchanged in both types of semen.However,treatment with 5 mmol/L PF did not influence the in vitro fertilization efficiency of fresh spermatozoa but improved significantly(P<0.05)that of frozen-thawed spermatozoa.[Conclusion]These results indicate that PF can improve sperm quality of frozenthawed bull semen,and may improve pregnancy rates in bovine artificial insemination programmes employing frozen semen.Jian ZHANG Huamin GUO Jie SU Lixia ZHAO Yunxia LI Wei SUN Hongmei HAN Shuxiang HU Gaoping ZHAO Yao LI Yanfeng DAI Xihe LI 2014Agricultural Biotechnology2014,3,3:0
