1Assessment of land use change and its effect on soil carbon stock using multitemporal satellite data in semiarid region of Rajasthan, India显示文摘Background:Land use change plays a vital role in global carbon dynamics.Understanding land use change impact on soil carbon stock is crucial for implementing land use management to increase carbon stock and reducing carbon emission.Therefore,the objective of our study was to determine land use change and to assess its effect on soil carbon stock in semi-arid part of Rajasthan,India.Landsat temporal satellite data of Pushkar valley region of Rajasthan acquired on 1993,2003,and 2014 were analyzed to assess land use change.Internal trading of land use was depicted throughmatrices.Soil organic carbon(SOC)stock was calculated for soil to a depth of 30 cm in each land use type in 2014 using field data collection.The SOC stock for previous years was estimated using stock change factor.The effect of land use change on SOC stock was determined by calculating change in SOC stock(t/ha)by deducting the base-year SOC stock from the final year stock of a particular land use conversion.Results:The total area under agricultural lands was increased by 32.14%while that under forest was decreased by 23.14%during the time period of 1993–2014.Overall land use change shows that in both the periods(1993–2003 and 2003–2014),7%of forest area was converted to agricultural land and about 15%changes occurred among agricultural land.In 1993–2003,changes among agricultural land led to maximum loss of soil carbon,i.e.,4.88 Mt C and during 2003–2014,conversion of forest to agricultural land led to loss in 3.16 Mt C.Conclusion:There was a continuous decrease in forest area and increase in cultivated area in each time period.Land use change led to alteration in carbon equity in soil due to change or loss in vegetation.Overall,we can conclude that the internal trading of land use area during the 10-year period(1993–2003)led to net loss of SOC stock by 8.29 Mt C.Similarly,land use change during 11-year period(2003–2014)caused net loss of SOC by 2.76 Mt C.Efforts should be made to implement proper land use management practices to enhance the SOC content.Garima Sharma L.K.Sharma K.C.Sharma 2019Ecological Processes2019,8,1:2

12Fuzzy Based Ant Colony Optimization Scheduling in Cloud Computing显示文摘Cloud computing is an Information Technology deployment model established on virtualization.Task scheduling states the set of rules for task allocations to an exact virtual machine in the cloud computing environment.However,task scheduling challenges such as optimal task scheduling performance solutions,are addressed in cloud computing.First,the cloud computing performance due to task scheduling is improved by proposing a Dynamic Weighted Round-Robin algorithm.This recommended DWRR algorithm improves the task scheduling performance by considering resource competencies,task priorities,and length.Second,a heuristic algorithm called Hybrid Particle Swarm Parallel Ant Colony Optimization is proposed to solve the task execution delay problem in DWRR based task scheduling.In the end,a fuzzy logic system is designed for HPSPACO that expands task scheduling in the cloud environment.A fuzzy method is proposed for the inertia weight update of the PSO and pheromone trails update of the PACO.Thus,the proposed Fuzzy Hybrid Particle Swarm Parallel Ant Colony Optimization on cloud computing achieves improved task scheduling by minimizing the execution and waiting time,system throughput,and maximizing resource utilization.K.Rajakumari M.Vinoth Kumar Garima Verma S.Balu Dilip Kumar Sharma Sudhakar Sengan 2022Computer Systems Science & Engineering2022,40,2:0
13Antioxidant and modulatory role of Chlorophytum borivilianum against arsenic induced testicular impairment显示文摘Arsenic has a suppressive influence on spermatogenesis and induces impairment in male reproductive system due to oxidative stress.The present study was aimed to test the arsenic induced toxicity and protection by Chlorophytum borivilianum.The effect of sodium arsenite(4mg/(kg body weight(bw)·day))via double distilled water without or with C.borivilianum(800mg/(kg bw·day))was evaluated in Swiss albino mice for 30 days.The radical scavenging activity of the aqueous C.borivilianum root extract was measured using DPPH(1,1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrayzyl)radical.Qualitative assessment of various cell types in the testis,sperm count and motility,testicular activity of lipid peroxidation(LPO),reduced glutathione(GSH),acid and alkaline phosphatase,cholesterol and serum testosterone were monitored.Arsenic treatment showed a significant increase in LPO,acid and alkaline phosphatase,cholesterol and decrease in sperm count,sperm motility,GSH and serum testosterone.Combined treatment showed significant decrease in LPO,acid and alkaline phosphatase,cholesterol and elevation in sperm count,sperm motility,GSH and serum testosterone.Testicular histopathology showed that C.borivilianum had reduced degeneration of germ cell in the seminiferous tubules and loss of sperms induced by arsenic intoxication.The results thus led us to conclude that administration of C.borivilianum root extract is found to be protective against arsenic induced toxicity.Garima Sharma Madhu Kumar 2012Journal of Environmental Sciences2012,24,12:0
14Improvement of Bio-Efficacy to Reduce Bacterial Wilt Complex Disease in Tomatoes through Bacillus amyloliquefaciens and Pseudomonas fluorescens under Field Conditions显示文摘Bacterial wilt complex disease of tomato(Solanum lycopersicum L.)was incited jointly by bacterial wilt pathogen Ralstonia solanacearum and Meloidogyne incognita worldwide.Bio-efficacy of bacterial antagonists i.e.B.amyloliquefaciens DSBA-11 and P.fluorescens DTPF-3 was studied against the wilt disease complex in tomato at National Phytotran facility Indian Agricultural Research Institute(IARI),New Delhi,at 26±2°C.Minimum wilt disease incidence(26.00%)with the highest bio-control efficacy(64.15%),less juvenile population(19.33 J2/g of soil)of M.incognita was recorded in the combined application of DTPF-3+DSBA-11 after 30 d of inoculation under glasshouse conditions.In a field study,minimum bacterial wilt disease incidences 19.0%and 20.4%were recorded in the bleaching powder treatment followed by mixed application of DSBA-11+DTPF-3,19.6%and 21.2%wilt incidence in 2014 and 2015 respectively.However,a reduction of root-knot gall index was recorded a maximum of 59.76%and 69.62%in DSBA-11+DTPF-3 treated plants followed by 54.88%and 60.13%over control in DTPF-3 treatment in 2014 and 2015 respectively.The yield of tomato fruit was increased over control by 17.48%and 16.97%in 2014 and 2015 respectively under field conditions.A combination of P.fluorescens DTPF-3+B.amyloliquefaciens DSBA-11 suppressed bacterial wilt and root-knot diseases and also increased the yield of the tomato fruit significantly(p<0.05)under field conditions.Dinesh Singh Dhananajay Kumar Yadav Harender Kumar Sharma Garima Chaudhary 2021Journal of Agricultural Science and Technology(B)2021,11,3:0
