1Characterization of personal exposure concentration of fine particles for adults and children exposed to high ambient concentrations in Beijing, China显示文摘In China, the health risk from overexposure to particles is becoming an important public health concern. To investigate daily exposure characteristics to PM 2.5 with high ambient concentration in urban area, a personal exposure study was conducted for school children, and office workers in Beijing, China. For all participants (N = 114), the mean personal 24-hr exposure concentration was 102.5, 14.7, 0.093, 0.528, 0.934, 0.174 and 0.703 μg/m 3 for PM 2.5 , black carbon, Mn, Al, Ca, Pb, and Fe. Children's exposure concentrations of PM 2.5 were 4-5 times higher than those in related studies. The ambient concentration of PM 2.5 (128.5 μg/m 3 ) was significantly higher than the personal exposure concentration (P < 0.05), and exceed the reference concentration (25 μg/m 3 ) of WHO air quality guideline. Good correlation relationships and significant differences were identified between ambient concentration and personal exposure concentration. The relationships indicate that the ambient concentration is the main factor influencing personal exposure concentration, but is not a good indicator of personal exposure concentration. Outdoor activities (commute mode, exposure to heating, workday or weekend travel) influenced personal exposure concentrations significantly, but the magnitude of the influence from indoor activities (exposure to cooking) was masked by the high ambient concentrations.Xuan Du Qian Kong Weihua Ge Shaojun Zhang Lixin Fu 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,11:24
2Induces Resistance Against Fusarium and Pink Rots by Acibenzolar-S-Methyl in Harvested Muskmelon (cv.Yindi)显示文摘Acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM) is a chemical activator of systematic resistance in many plants. The effect of preharvest and postharvest application of ASM was evaluated for its ability to induce resistance in muskmelon fruit. The results indicated that 50 and 100 mg L-1 ASM or 1 mL L-1 imazalil at 1 week or 1 day before harvest were effective in reducing the lesion area with 100 mg L-1 ASM the most effective. No treatment inhibited the infection rate. The postharvest results showed that 50 and 100 mg L-1 ASM,and 0.1 mL L-1 imazalil were effective in reducing the lesion area with 100 mg L-1 ASM the most effective. No treatment inhibited the infection rate. There was a clear time-dependent response of the fruit to postharvest ASM treatment,in which treatments applied 1,3,and 5 day before inoculation provided the best results. ASM did not demonstrate any fungicide effect in vitro and suppressed lesion area in treated muskmelons,indicating that disease resistance was induced. 4Removal of adhesive dusts from flue gas using corona discharges with spraying water显示文摘Effective removal of adhesive and fine dusts from flue gas is very difficult. A new method of electrostatic precipitation of the corona discharges with spraying water(CDSW) was introduced. A new electrode configuration and the circulation spraying of water were employed in the method. The efficient electrostatic precipitation for adhesive and fine dusts can be accomplished without any drain water during a long operating period. The fundamental structure, discharge characteristics, mechanism of spraying and precipitation principle of the electrostatic precipitation using CDSW were described and analyzed. The V I characteristics, spraying state, supplying water quantity, influence of temperature and clean of the electrodes were researched in series experiments. The treating effects of circulating spraying using the corona plasma at the same time of electrostatic precipitation were investigated. 6Mycoplasma pneumoniae Macrolide Resistance and MLVA Typing in Children in Beijing,China,in 2016:Is It Relevant?显示文摘Objective The aim of this study is to investigate the macrolide resistance rate and molecular type with multiple-locus variable-number tandem-repeat analysis(MLVA)of Mycoplasma pneumoniae of Beijing in 2016 in pediatric patients.Methods Real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction(PCR)was used to identify M.pneumoniae,and MLVA was performed.The domain V of the 23 S rRNA was sequenced to detect macrolide-resistant point mutations.We also investigated the activities of antibiotics against M.pneumoniae isolates in vitro.Results The PCR detection rate of M.pneumoniae in children in Beijing was 40%,and the macrolide resistance rate was 66%.The A2063 G mutation in the 23 S rRNA V region is the dominant mutation(137/146,93.84%),whereas the A2064 G mutation is rare(9/146,6.16%).Seventy-three samples were typed successfully by MLVA typing,including 86.3%(63/73)were MLVA type 4-5-7-2,and 13.7%(10/73)were MLVA type 3-5-6-2.No other types were found.No strains were resistant to levofloxacin or tetracycline.Conclusion In 2016,a specific decrease in the macrolide resistance rate occurred in Beijing.The detection rate and macrolide resistance rate of outpatients are lower than those of inpatients.The A2063 G mutants M.pneumoniae have high levels of resistance to erythromycin and azithromycin.The primary MLVA type is 4-5-7-2,followed by 3-5-6-2.No other MLVA types were detected.No strains resistant to tetracycline or levofloxacin were found in vitro.DOU Hai Wei TIAN Xiu Jun XIN De Li WEI Ran ZHOU Wei WANG Hong QIN Xuan Guang SHAO Jun Yan XU Bao Ping GE Li Xia SHI Da Wei 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,12:9
7Physicians’Perception of Palliative Care Consultation Service in a Major General Hospital in China显示文摘Objectives The in-hosptial palliative care consultation(PCC)is emerging as a routine service in some medical center in China.The current study evaluated how physicians in primary care team and consultation team perceive the PCC service for the purpose of investigating the effectiveness of this consultation model in a general hospital.Methods In-hosptial palliative care consultations have been carried out at Peking Union Medical College Hosptial by a dedicated consultation team,and37consultations were completed in2016.A questionnaire was designed for physicians in terms of its benefits to patients,their family as well as the primary care team.Physicians who applied for consultation in2016formally(requested from the department other than the Geriatrics)and informally(by rotating residents and unemployed visiting doctors in geriatric department)were invited to participate in the survey by scanning a two dimentional code on social networking platform.Results There were103physicians participated in the survey,including primary care physicians from the department of Internal Medicine(n=8),Gynaecology(n=16)and Surgery(n=13),rotating residents(n=30),visiting doctors(n=16)in Geriatric department,and PCC team members(n=20).94.0%of the non-PCC physicians agreed that PCC relieved the suffering of patients;89.2%thought PCC improved the quality of patients'life;there were91.6%,95.2%,90.4%physicians who felt it relieved the anxiety of patients,of family members and of care providers,respectively.There were96.4%physicians who felt it could ease the tension in physician-patient relationship;97.6%felt it lower the risk for medical negligence,and96.4%of doctors who applied for PPC felt satisfied with PCC service in terms of process and achieving objectives of consultation.More primary-team physician agree'PCC service helps the physicians better understand palliative care'than PCC members(97.6%vs.80%,P<0.05),while both were interested in learning more on palliative medicine(100%vs.96.4%,P>0.05).Xuan Qu Nan Jiang Nan Ge Xiaohong Ning 2018Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2018,33,4:9
8Factors affecting occurrence of gastric varioliform lesions: A case-control study显示文摘AIM: To investigate the factors influencing the occurrence of gastric varioliform lesions(GVLs) and their possible link with gastric cancer.METHODS: A 1:1 matched case-control study was performed to retrospectively analyze data from 1638 chronic gastritis patients who had undergone gastroscopy at one of two Chinese hospitals between 2009 and 2014. Patients with GVLs(cases) were compared to those without such lesions(controls). Endoscopic and pathological findings were recorded, along with interview information on Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) infection, medical, drug and family histories, lifestyle and eating habits. The association between each factor and the occurrence of GVLs was estimated, and then multivariate conditional logistic regression was used to evaluate the independent factors.RESULTS: The frequency and severity of glandular atrophy, intestinal metaplasia(IM) and low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia were significantly increased in the GVL group(P < 0.01). Overall analysis showed that H. pylori infection [3.051(2.157, 4.317), P <0.001], allergic respiratory diseases [3.636(2.183, 6.055), P < 0.001], work-related stress [2.019(1.568, 2.600), P < 0.001], irregular meals [2.300(1.462, 3.619), P < 0.001], high intake of spicy food [1.754(1.227, 2.507), P = 0.002] and high intake of fresh fruit [0.231(0.101, 0.529), P = 0.001] were significantly correlated with the occurrence of GVLs(positively, except for the latter). Stratified analyses indicated that pickled food consumption in patients over 50 years old [7.224(2.360, 22.115), P = 0.001] and excessive smoking in men [2.013(1.282, 3.163), P = 0.002] were also positively correlated, and that, for antral GVLs, vegetable consumption [0.491(0.311, 0.776), P = 0.002] was negatively correlated. 9Energy dependence on modes of electric activities of neuron driven by different external mixed signals under electromagnetic induction显示文摘Energy supply and release play an important role in individual neuron and neural network. In this paper, the electrical activities and Hamilton energy of neuron are investigated when external mixed signals(i.e., the periodic stimulus current and the periodic electromagnetic field) are imposed on the neuron under the electromagnetic induction. As a result, the Hamilton energy is much dependent on the mode transition, the multiple electric activity modes and the numerical analysis of Hamilton energy are more complicated under various parameters. When the periodic high-low frequency electromagnetic radiation is imposed in neuron, it is found that the electrical activities are more complex, and the changing of energy is obvious. In addition, the response of electrical activity and Hamilton energy is much dependent on the changing of amplitude A, B when the external high-low frequency signal is imposed on the neuron, meanwhile, the energy of bursting state is lower than the one of spiking state. 14Control of Postharvest Fusarium Rot and Trichothecium Rot in Harvested Muskmelon (cv. Yindi) by Harpin显示文摘Preharvest and postharvest application of Harpin was evaluated for its ability to induce resistance in muskmelon fruit and control rots. Preharvest treatments were 30 mg L-1, 60 mg L-1 Harpin or 1 mg L-1 Imazalil either 1 week or 1 day before harvest. The CK was untreated. Fruit were then inoculated with Fusarium semitectum or Trichothecium roseum 48 h after harvest, and stored at 23 ± 1°C, RH (relative humidity) 50-60% for 4 d. All treatments were effective in reducing the lesion area with 60 mg L-1 Harpin the most effectively. No treatments inhibited infection rate. Postharvest treatment was fruit dips of 30 mg L-1, 60 mg L-1 Harpin, 0.1 mg L-1 Imazalil. Fruit were inoculated with F. semitectum or T. roseum 24, 72, 120 or 168 h after treatment, and stored at 23 ± 1°C, RH 50-60% for 4 days. All treatments were effective in reducing the lesion area with 60 mg L-1 Harpin the most effectively. No treatments inhibited the infection rate. 15Postharvest ASM or Harpin Treatment Induce Resistance of Muskmelons Against Trichothecium roseum显示文摘Induced resistance was studied in muskmelons (cv. Yindi) inoculated Trichothecium roseum with postharvest 1,2,3- benzothiadiazole-7-carbothioic acid S-methyl ester (ASM) (100 mg L-1) or harpin (50 mg L-1) treatment. Both ASM and harpin significantly reduced lesion diameter in inoculated fruit. Lesion diameter was limited in the treated and untreated halves of the same fruit, indicating that the local and systemic resistance was induced. Inhibiting efficacy of elicitors lasted 7 and 5 days in the treated and untreated halves. The resistance increased by the chemicals was associated with the activation of peroxidase (POD) and chitinase (CHT). The elicitors induced a significantly and progressively increasing activity of POD and CHT in the treated and untreated halves, and the activation lasted at least 5 days. The activities of POD isoenzymes increased in the treated fruit. 17In-situ study on hydrogen bubble evolution in the liquid Al/solid Ni interconnection by synchrotron radiation X-ray radiography显示文摘Synchrotron X-ray radiography was used to carry out an in-situ observation of the hydrogen bubble evolution in the liquid Al/solid Ni interconnection. The individual bubble mainly grows in a stochastic way during heating. The size distribution for groups of bubbles follows a Gaussian distribution in the early stage and Lifshitz-Slyozov-Wagner(LSW) diffusion controlled distribution in the final stage. The intermetallic compounds(IMCs) first form during solidification, following by the hydrogen bubbles. The bubbles between two adjacent Al3Ni grains grow unidirectionally along the liquid channel, with the bottom being impeded by the Al3Ni phase and the radius of the growth front being smaller. 18Lower limit law of welding windows for explosive welding of dissimilar metals显示文摘The influence of explosive charge thickness on the quality of explosive welding of dissimilar metals was investigated.The lower limit law should be followed in the course of explosive welding.Three welding experiments of stainless steel(410S)and steel(Q345R)were carried out in three different kinds of explosive charge thicknesses,namely 15,25and 35mm.Interfaces of morphology and mechanical properties of three samples were observed and tested.It was found that micro and small wavy bonding is mainly formed for charge thickness of 15mm whose strength is the highest with minor deformation and few defects in the interface;small and middle wavy bonding are mainly formed for charge thickness of 25 mm whose strength is comparatively mediocre;big wavy bonding is mainly formed for charge thickness of 35 mm whose strength is the lowest.The cause of high bonding strength of the micro and small wavy interface was analyzed and verified on the basis of the results of Electron Probe Micro-Analyzer(EPMA)tests of three selected samples.Chang-gen Shi Xuan Yang Yu-heng Ge Jun You Hong-bao Hou 2017Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2017,24,8:3
19Peripheral Artery Disease and Risk of Fibrosis Deterioration in Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease:A Prospective Investigation显示文摘Objective Liver fibrosis is an important predictor of mortality in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).Peripheral artery disease(PAD)and liver fibrosis share many common metabolic dysfunctions.We aimed to explore the association between PAD and risk of fibrosis deterioration in NAFLD patients.Methods The study recruited 1,610 NAFLD patients aged≥40 years from a well-defined community at baseline in 2010 and followed up between August 2014 and May 2015.Fibrosis deterioration was defined as the NAFLD fibrosis score(NFS)status increased to a higher category at the follow-up visit.PAD was defined as an ankle-brachial index of<0.90 or>1.40.Results During an average of 4.3 years’follow-up,618 patients progressed to a higher NFS category.PAD was associated with 92%increased risk of fibrosis deterioration[multivariable-adjusted odds ratio(OR):1.92,95%confidence interval(CI):1.24,2.98].When stratified by baseline NFS status,the OR for progression from low to intermediate or high NFS was 1.74(95%CI:1.02,3.00),and progression from intermediate to high NFS was 2.24(95%CI:1.05,4.80).There was a significant interaction between PAD and insulin resistance(IR)on fibrosis deterioration(P for interaction=0.03).As compared with non-PAD and non-IR,the coexistence of PAD and IR was associated with a 3.85-fold(95%CI:2.06,7.18)increased risk of fibrosis deterioration.Conclusion PAD is associated with an increased risk of fibrosis deterioration in NAFLD patients,especially in those with IR.The coexistence of PAD and IR may impose an interactive effect on the risk of fibrosis deterioration.ZHU Wen DENG Chan Juan XUAN Li Ping DAI Hua Jie ZHAO Zhi Yun WANG Tian Ge LI Mian LU Jie Li XU Yu CHEN Yu Hong WANG Wei Qing BI Yu Fang XU Min 2020Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2020,33,4:2
20Evolution mechanism of recrystallization in a nickel-based single crystal superalloy under various cooling rates during heat treatment显示文摘The recrystallization behaviors of a nickel-based single crystal superalloy during heat treatment at 1,200℃ for 4 h with various cooling rates were studied.Results show that the thickness of recrystallization layer decreases with the increase of cooling rate.In addition,the microstructures ofγ′phase in the recrystallization region are different in various cooling rates.In the high cooling rates(70,100℃·min^(-1)),small size and high volume fraction ofγ′phases are formed in the recrystallization region.It is also found that irregular fine secondaryγ′phases are precipitated between matrix channels with an average size of 150 nm in the original matric(100℃·min^(-1)).The sizes of the secondaryγ′phase decrease with the increase of cooling rate.In contrast,large size and small volume fraction ofγ′phases are formed in the recrystallization region,and a grain boundary layer is formed under a low cooling rate(10℃·min^(-1)).The evolution mechanism of recrystallization at various cooling rates during heat treatment is analyzed.Yong-shun Li Wei-dong Xuan Jian Yang Yu-hao Zhou Ge Song Xing-fu Ren Zhong-ming Ren 2022China Foundry2022,19,1:2
