2Understanding of degradation-resistant behavior of nanostructured thermal barrier coatings with bimodal structure显示文摘Nanostructured thermal barrier coatings(TBCs) often provide high degradation resistance, as well as extended lifetime. However, the underlying mechanism has not been fully understood. In this study, the sintering characteristics of nanostructured yttria-stabilized zirconia(YSZ) coatings were investigated,and compared with those of the conventional YSZ coatings. Multiscale characterizations of the changes in microstructures and properties were performed. Results showed that the enhanced high-performance durability was mainly attributed to different sintering mechanisms of lamellar zones and nanozones.Sintering characteristics of the lamellar zones were similar to those of the conventional coatings. Stagesensitive healing of two-dimensional(2 D) pores dominated the sintering behavior of the lamellar zones.However, the differential densification rates between nanozones and lamellar zones of the nanostructured TBCs led to the formation of coarse voids. This counteractive effect, against healing of 2 D pores, was the main factor contributing to the retardation of the performance degradation of bimodal TBCs during thermal exposure. 3Responses of desertification to variations in wind activity over the past five decades in arid and semiarid areas in China显示文摘There have been significant variations in wind activity over the past five decades in arid and semiarid areas in China.High wind activity occurred from the 1960s to the 1970s,but wind activity has de-creased continuously from the 1980s to the present;as a result,the potential sand transport during the latter period was only 20%-50% of the values during the 1960s and 1970s.Phases of high wind activ-ity were highly consistent with the trends in desertification over the past five decades in arid and semiarid areas in China,but spring precipitation was also a significant factor:rapid desertification during the 1960s and 1970s was due to high wind activity,generally combining with low spring pre-cipitation;subsequent rehabilitation since the 1980s has resulted from the combined effects of low wind activity and higher spring precipitation.Therefore,although modern desertification and rehabili-tation processes are being more or less affected by human activities,both processes appear to be more strongly controlled by climate change.WANG XunMing LI JiJun DONG GuangRong XIA DunSheng 2008Chinese Science Bulletin2008,53,3:9
4Analysis of DNA methylation variation in wheat genetic background after alien chromatin introduction based on methylation-sensitive amplification polymorphism显示文摘During the process of alien germplasm introduced into wheat genome by chromosome engineering, extensive genetic variations of genome structure and gene expression in recipient could be induced. In this study, we performed GISH (genome in situ hybridization) and AFLP (amplified fragment length po-lymorphism) on wheat-rye chromosome translocation lines and their parents to detect the identity in genomic structure of different translocation lines. The results showed that the genome primary struc-ture variations were not obviously detected in different translocation lines except the same 1RS chromosome translocation. Methylation sensitive amplification polymorphism (MSAP) analyses on genomic DNA showed that the ratios of fully-methylated sites were significantly increased in translo-cation lines (CN12, 20.15%; CN17, 20.91%; CN18, 22.42%), but the ratios of hemimethylated sites were significantly lowered (CN12, 21.41%; CN17, 23.43%; CN18, 22.42%), whereas 16.37% were fully-me-thylated and 25.44% were hemimethylated in case of their wheat parent. Twenty-nine classes of me-thylation patterns were identified in a comparative assay of cytosine methylation patterns between wheat-rye translocation lines and their wheat parent, including 13 hypermethylation patterns (33.74%), 9 demethylation patterns (22.76%) and 7 uncertain patterns (4.07%). 5Associations between haemodynamics and wall enhancement of intracranial aneurysm显示文摘Background and purpose Previous studies have reported about inflammation processes(IPs)that play important roles in aneurysm formation and rupture,which could be driven by blood flow.IPs can be identified using aneurysmal wall enhancement(AWE)on high-resolution black-blood MRI(BB-MRI)and blood flow haemodynamics can be demonstrated by four-dimensional-flow MRI(4D-flow MRI).Thus,this study investigated the associations between AWE and haemodynamics in unruptured intracranial aneurysms(IA)by combining 4D-flow MRI and high-resolution BB-MRI.Materials and methods Between April 2014 and October 2017,48 patients with 49 unruptured IA who underwent both 4D-flow MRI and high-resolution BB-MRI were retrospectively included in this study.The haemodynamic parameters demonstrated using 4D-flow MRI were compared between different AWE patterns using the Kruskal-Wallis test and ordinal regression.Results The results of Kruskal-Wallis test showed that the average wall shear stress in the IA(WSSavg-IA),maximum through-plane velocity in the adjacent parent artery,inflow jet patterns and the average vorticity in IA(vorticityavg-IA)were significantly associated with the AWE patterns.Ordinal regression analysis identified WSSavg-IA(p=0.002)and vorticityavg-IA(p=0.033)as independent predictors of AWE patterns.Conclusion A low WSS and low average vorticity were independently associated with a high AWE grade for IAs larger than 4 mm.Therefore,WSS and average vorticity could predict AWE and circumferential AWE.Miaoqi Zhang Fei Peng Xin Tong Xin Feng Yunduo Li Huijun Chen Hao Niu Baorui Zhang Guangrong Song Youxiang Li Peng Liu Aihua Liu Rui Li 2021Stroke & Vascular Neurology2021,6,3:7
6Effects of long-term fertilization with different substitution ratios of organic fertilizer on paddy soil显示文摘In recent years,the abuse of chemical fertilizers has caused numerous environmental problems,such as soil acidification and compaction.Replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers can effectively alleviate these problems.However,the effects of alternative organic fertilizers remain unclear.To explore the effects of organic fertilizer substitution on rice yield and paddy soil physicochemical properties and bacterial community structure,we conducted a 5-year experiment using different proportions of organic fertilizer substitution in a double-cropping rice field in Jiangxi,China.Our results showed that replacing chemical fertilizers with organic fertilizers can reduce soil acidification,increase soil organic matter content,nutrient contents,and enzyme activities,improve soil physicochemical properties and microbial community,and enhance soil metabolism.Appropriate organic substitution also had positive effects on rice production.These findings enhance our understanding of the effects of different alternative organic fertilization methods and have important theoretical significance for the promotion of the use of organic fertilizers in the future.Weifeng SONG Aiping SHU Jiai LIU Wenchong SHI Mingcong LI Wenxue ZHANG Zuzhang LI Guangrong LIU Fusheng YUAN Shuxin ZHANG Zengbing LIU Zheng GAO 2022Pedosphere2022,32,4:7

11Aeolian Facies Belts in the Taklimakan Desert显示文摘At least at the beginning of the last glacial epoch, the facies belts of dune sand, sandy loam and loess formed by winds had existed in the Taklimakan desert and areas south of it. There were no appreciable changes in the NE and NW wind systems and their wind fqrces that deposited dune sand, sandy loam and loess in the global cold stage since the last glacial epoch (accordingly no marked shifts of the boundaries of these aeolian facies belts took place. In the global warm stage since then, the climate in the Taklimakan desert and areas south of it became warm and dry, resulting in ablation of substantial volumes of ice and snow in their surrounding mountains and thus forming alluvial and diluvial deposits in the region. 16The mechanisms of melanogenesis inhibition by glabridin:molecular docking,PKA/MITF and MAPK/MITF pathways显示文摘Glabridin is the main ingredient of hydrophobic fraction in licorice extract and has been shown to have anti-melanogenesis activity in skins.However,the underlying mechanism(s)remain not completely understood.The aim of this study is thus to elucidate the possible mechanisms related to the melanogenesis suppression by glabridin in cultured B16 murine melanoma cells and in UVA radiation induced hyperpigmentation model of BALB/c mice as well.Molecular docking simulations revealed that between catalytic core residues and the compound.The treatment by glabridin significantly downregulated both transcriptional and/or protein expression of melanogenesis-related factors including melanocyte stimulating hormone receptor(MC1R),microphthalmia-associated transcription factor(MITF),tyrosinase(TYR),TYR-related protein-1(TRP-1)and TRP-2 in B16 cells.Both PKA/MITF and MAPK/MITF signaling pathways were found to be involved in the suppression of melanogenesis by glabridin in B16 cells.Also in vivo glabridin therapy significantly reduced hyperpigmentation,epidermal thickening,roughness and inflammation induced by frequent UVA exposure in mice skins,thus beneficial for skin healthcare.These data further look insights into the molecular mechanisms of melanogenesis suppression by glabridin,rationalizing the application of the natural compound for skin healthcare.Chunxing Pan Xiaoying Liu Yating Zheng Zejun Zhang Yongliang Li Biao Che Guangrong Liu Lanyue Zhang Changzhi Dong Haji Akber Aisa Zhiyun Du Zhengqiang Yuan 2023Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,1:2
17Comparative FISH and molecular identification of new stripe rust resistant wheat-Thinopyrum intermedium ssp. trichophorum introgression lines显示文摘Thinopyrum intermedium(2 n = 6 x = 42, JJJ^sJ^sStSt) has been hybridized extensively with common wheat and has proven to be a valuable germplasm source for improving disease resistance, quality attributes, and yield potential in wheat. We characterized new disease resistant wheat-Th. intermedium derivatives A1082 and A5-5 using sequential multi-color fluorescence in situ hybridization(mc-FISH), genomic in situ hybridization(GISH), PCRbased landmark unique gene(PLUG) and intron targeting(IT) markers. A1082 was identified as a wheat-Th. intermedium 3J disomic addition line, and A5-5 was a T4BS·5J^sL homozygous Robertsonian translocation line. Seventy-one and 106 pairs of primers amplified Th.intermedium-specific bands allowing chromosomes 3J and 5J^s to be tracked, respectively. A new oligonucleotide probe, Oligo-6 H-2-100, was developed for FISH labeling of the subterminal region of the long arm of chromosome 5J^s. Both lines were highly resistant to stripe rust pathogen races prevalent in Chinese field screening nurseries. A5-5 also displayed a significant increase in tiller number compared to its wheat parent. 18Dynamic-stiffening-induced aggravated cracking behavior driven by metal-substrate-constraint in a coating/substrate system显示文摘Air plasma sprayed thermal barrier coatings(APS-TBCs)saw their wide application in high-temperaturerelated cutting-edge fields.The lamellar structure of APS-TBCs provides a significant advantage on thermal insulation.However,short life span is a major headache for APS-TBCs.This is highly related to the property changes and passive behaviors of the coatings during thermal service.Herein,a finite element model was developed to investigate the dynamic stiffening and substrate constraint on total spallation process.Results show that the stiffening accelerates the crack propagation of APS-TBCs.The driving force for crack propagation,which is characterized by strain energy release rate(SERR),is significantly enlarged.Consequently,the crack starts to propagate when the SERR exceeds the fracture toughness.In addition,the changing trends of SERR and crack propagation features are highly associated with temperatures.A higher temperature corresponds to more significant effect of stiffening on substrate constraint.In brief,temperature-dependent stiffening significantly aggravates the substrate constraint effect on APS-TBCs,which is one of the major causes for the spallation.Given that,lowering stiffening degree is essential to maintain high strain tolerance,and to further extend the life span of APS-TBCs.This understanding contributes to the development of advanced TBCs in future applications.Guangrong Li Chunhua Tang Guanjun Yang 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,6:2
