1Performance of multiuser CDMA system with space-time block coding in MIMO Rayleigh fading channels显示文摘In this paper, by introducing orthogonal space-time coding scheme, the multiuser CDMA systems with different space time codes are given, and corresponding system performance is investigated over Rayleigh fading channel. A low-complexity multiuser receiver scheme is developed for space-time coded CDMA systems. The scheme can make full use of the complex orthogonality of space-time coding to simplify the high decoding complexity of the existing scheme. Compared to the existing scheme with exponential decoding complexity, it has linear decoding complexity. Based on the performance analysis and mathematical calculation, average bit error rate (BER) of the system is derived in detail, and tight closed-form approximation expressions of BER are attained. Simulation results on average BER are in agreement with the theory analysis. The results show that the proposed scheme can achieve almost the same performance as the existing scheme. Moreover, on the condition of same system throughput and concatenation of channel code, the given full-rate space-time coded CDMA system has lower BER than the full-diversity space-time coded CDMA systems.YU XiangBin DONG Tao BI GuangGuo 2009Science in China(Series F)2009,52,12:3
2Performance of orthogonal STBC-MIMO with variable-power adaptive modulation and delayed feedback in Nakagami fading channels显示文摘A variable-power(VP)adaptive modulation(AM)scheme with space-time block code(STBC)is developed in MIMO systems,and the corresponding performance is investigated in Nakagami fading channels.The optimum switching thresholds are derived so that the spectrum efciency(SE)under an average power and a target bit error rate(BER)constraint is maximized.By the switching thresholds,average BER and SE are further derived.As a result,closed-form expressions are obtained.Besides,the exact and approximate BER expressions of VP AM and constant-power(CP)AM systems with delayed feedback are respectively derived.Simulation results show that the theoretical SE and BER can match the corresponding simulation well.The results indicate that VP-AM with STBC provide higher spectrum efciency than the CP counterparts,and has slighter bite error rate performance degradation when the normalized delay is less than 0.01.YU XiangBin CHEN XiaoMin BI GuangGuo RUI Yun 2013Science China(Information Sciences)2013,56,10:2
3UPLINK PERFORMANCE OF CWP-MC-CDMA WITH SPACE DIVERSITY COMBINING TECHNIQUE OVER RAYLEIGH FADING CHANNEL显示文摘In this paper, a Complex Wavelet Packet based Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access (CWP-MC-CDMA) system uplink model is proposed, based on the analysis of the principle of MC-CDMA and the use of the optimized complex wavelet packet. Considering that the base station can adopt multiple re-ceiver antennas in the uplink, we employ the Space Diversity Combining (SDC) technique to improve the sys-tem performance via multiple antennas. The uplink performance of proposed CWP-MC-CDMA system with SDC technique is investigated over Rayleigh fading channel, and corresponding bit error rate analysis is given in detail. The system can avoid the decrease of spectrum efficiency of conventional MC-CDMA due to insert-ing cyclic prefix. Theoretical analysis and simulation result show that the application of SDC technique can improve the CWP-MC-CDMA system ability to combat spatial fading and various interferences effectively. 11Efficient detection for cooperative communication with two alternating relays显示文摘A two-path amplify-and-forward(AF)relaying scheme,which uses two relays to retransmit for the source alternately,was proposed by Rankov[Rankov et al.IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications,2007,25(2):379–389].This scheme can avoid half-duplex loss in spectral efficiency,but it cannot work well when the interrelay channel gain is strong.An efficient detection scheme for two-path AF relaying system is proposed in this paper.In the proposed scheme,interference cancellation is first performed at the destination so that the received signal after interference cancellation is the superposition of two symbols with noise.Then,a low complexity soft maximum a posteriori(MAP)decoder and an iterative soft decoder are employed to extract the diversity of the two relay-destination links.The proposed detection scheme can efficiently improve the system performance compared to the detection scheme presented by Rankov(2007),especially when the inter-relay channel gain is strong.Mingwei CAO Guangguo BI 2010Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2010,5,1:0

13Concatenated Alamouti codes using multi-level modulation and symbol mapping diversity technique显示文摘A family of space-time block codes(STBCs)for systems with even transmit antennas and any number of receive antennas is proposed.The new codeword matrix is constructed by concatenating Alamouti space-time codes to form a block diagonal matrix,and its dimension is equal to the number of transmit antennas.All Alamouti codes in the same codeword matrix have the same information;thus,full transmit diversity can be achieved over fading channels.To improve the spectral efficiency,multi-level modulations such as multi-quadrature amplitude modulation(M-QAM)are employed.The symbol mapping diversity is then exploited between transmissions of the same information from different antennas to improve the bit error rate(BER)performance.The proposed codes outperform the diagonal algebraic space-time(DAST)codes presented by Damen[Damen et al.IEEE Transactions on Information Theory,2002,48(3):628–636]when they have the same spectral efficiency.Also,they outperform the 1/2-rate codes from complex orthogonal design.Moreover,compared to DAST codes,the proposed codes have a low decoding complexity because we only need to perform linear processing to achieve single-symbol maximum-likelihood(ML)decoding.Mingwei CAO Guangguo BI 2010Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2010,5,4:0
14UNIT-RATE COMPLEX ORTHOGONAL SPACE-TIME BLOCK CODE CONCATENATED WITH TURBO CODING显示文摘Space-Time Block (STB) code has been an effective transmit diversity technique for combating fading due to its orthogonal design, simple decoding and high diversity gains. In this paper, a unit-rate complex orthogonal STB code for multiple antennas in Time Division Duplex (TDD) mode is proposed. Meanwhile, Turbo Coding (TC) is employed to improve the performance of proposed STB code further by utilizing its good ability to combat the burst error of fading channel. Compared with full-diversity multiple antennas STB codes, the proposed code can implement unit rate and partial diversity; and it has much smaller computational complexity under the same system throughput. Moreover, the application of TC can effectively make up for the performance loss due to partial diversity. 15A novel rate-2 full diversity algebraic space-time code显示文摘Orthogonal space-time block codes(OSTBCs)have attracted considerable attention due to their low complexity linear decoding and full diversity in Rayleigh fading channels.However,OSTBCs exist only for certain numbers of transmit antennas and do not provide full code rate when more than two transmit antennas are used.In this paper,a novel rate-2 algebraic space-time code that combines coordinate-interleaving and group precoding is proposed.By properly choosing the designed parameters,the coding scheme can achieve full diversity order and high coding gain.The receiver adopts polynomial complexity sphere decoding algorithm to get maximum likelihood(ML)performance.Analysis and simulations illustrate that the new code exhibits significant performance gain over the conventional OSTBCs and diagonal algebraic space-time code.Xiufeng JIN Guangguo BI 2009Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2009,4,4:0

17Joint-state differential detection algorithm and its application in UWB wireless communication systems显示文摘In this paper, a novel concept of the joint state of input and output of encoder is proposed. Based on it, a recursive algorithm that implements the multi-symbol differential detection in criterion of maximum likelihood is proposed. Simulation results show that its performance can approach to the theoretical boundary of multi-symbol differential detection without increasing the complexity per symbol, and it is effective in practical systems. 18PERFORMANCE OF LDPC CODED FMT SYSTEMS OVER FREQUENCY SELECTIVE FADING CHANNEL显示文摘This paper proposes the Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) coded Filtered MultiTone (FMT) systems with high-order modulation for the high data rate reliable transmission over frequency selective fading channel. For the purpose of accomplishing soft input soft output iterative decoding of LDPC codes, a new soft decision metric generation method is proposed,which obviates the need of the noise variance estimation, for M-PSK/M-QAM-type high-order modulation over frequency selective fading channel.
