1Five-year follow-up of 23 asymmetrical Parkinson's disease patients treated with unilateral subthalamic nucleus stimulation显示文摘In this study, 23 asymmetrical Parkinson's disease patients were treated with unilateral deep brain stimulation of the subthalamic nucleus and followed up for 5 years. At 5 years after stimulation treatment, Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale II, III and axial symptom scores in the off-drug condition were significantly increased compared those at baseline. However, total Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale II, III and axial symptom scores were significantly lower with stimulation-on compared with the synchronous stimulation-off state in off-drug condition, and the motor symptoms of contralateral side limbs were effectively controlled. Only low Hoehn-Yahr stage was correlated with good long-term postoperative improvement in motor symptoms. The mean levodopa-equivalent daily dose after stimulation treatment was significantly lower than that before treatment, but dyskinesias became worse. 2Dosimetry for ^(125) I radioactive seed implantation therapy for hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is an aggressive malignancy.Early lesions respond well to hepatic resection or liver transplantation. However,onlyafewofHCCpatientsaresuitableforsurgicalintervention.Externalbeamradiationandchemotherapyispoorlyefficacious. 3Association of assisted reproductive technology, germline de novo mutations and congenital heart defects in a prospective birth cohort study显示文摘Emerging evidence suggests that children conceived through assisted reproductive technology(ART)have a higher risk of congenital heart defects(CHDs)even when there is no family history.De novo mutation(DNM)is a well-known cause of sporadic congenital diseases;however,whether ART procedures increase the number of germline DNM(gDNM)has not yet been well studied.Here,we performed whole-genome sequencing of 1137 individuals from 160 families conceived through ART and 205 families conceived spontaneously.Children conceived via ART carried 4.59 more gDNMs than children conceived spontaneously,including 332 paternal and 1.26 maternal DNMs,after correcting for parental age at conception,cigarette smoking,alcohol drinking,and exercise behaviors.Paternal DNMs in offspring conceived via ART are characterized by C>T substitutions at CpG sites,which potentially affect protein-coding genes and are significantly associated with the increased risk of CHD.In addition,the accumulation of non-coding functional mutations was independently associated with CHD and 87.9% of the mutations were originated from the father.Among ART offspring,infertility of the father was associated with elevated paternal DNMs;usage of both recombinant and urinary follicle-stimulating hormone and high-dosage human chorionic gonadotropin trigger was associated with an increase of maternal DNMs.In sum,the increased gDNMs in offspring conceived by ART were primarily originated from fathers,indicating that ART itself may not be a major reason for the accumulation of gDNMs.Our findings emphasize the importance of evaluating the germline status of the fathers in families with the use of ART.Cheng Wang Hong Lv Xiufeng Ling Hong Li Feiyang Diao Juncheng Dai Jiangbo Du Ting Chen Qi Xi Yang Zhao Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiumei Han Xiaoyu Liu Meijuan Peng Congcong Chen Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Cong Liu Mingyang Wen Yangqian Jiang Tao Jiang Chuncheng Lu Wei Wu Di Wu Minjian Chen Yuan Lin Xuejiang Guo Ran Huo Jiayin Liu Hongxia Ma Guangfu Jin Yankai Xia Jiahao Sha Hongbing Shen Zhibin Hu 2021Cell Research2021,31,8:2
4A prospective study:intraoperative ^(125)I radioactive seed implant therapy in advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Objective:To investigated the role of intraoperative iodine-125(125I) brachytherapy as a treatment option for advanced thoracic esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).Methods:Using preoperative computed tomography(CT)-based staging criteria,between 2000 and 2008,298 patients with ESCC(stage Ⅱ-Ⅲ) were enrolled in this prospective study.With informed consent,patients were randomized into two groups:intraoperative 125I seed implantation and surgery alone(control group).Twenty to forty 125I seeds(0.5 mCi per seed),with a total activity in 10~30 mCi,and a matched peripheral dose(MPD) of 60~70 Gy,were implanted under direct visualization.The surgical procedure used in this study was either a radical resection,which involved an esophagectomy through a left thoracotomy with two-field lymphadenectomy,or palliative resection.The postoperative complications were observed and recorded.The location and quality assessment of 125I seeds were assessed using CT scans or X-ray imaging.The short-term efficacy was evaluated according to WHO criteria.The 1,3,5 and 7-year survival rates were determined on follow-up.Results:There was no displacement or loss of 125I seeds.The local recurrence rates in the intraoperative 125I seed implantation group and control group were 14.9% and 38.7%,respectively(P < 0.05).An objective response rate of 92% was observed in the seed implant group,which was significantly higher than 0% in the control group(P < 0.05).There was no significant difference between the two groups when comparing of complications(P > 0.05).The 1-year survival rate of the two groups were not significantly different(P > 0.05).However,the 3,5 and 7-year survival rates in the united 125I group(64%,55.3% and 8%,respectively) were statistically different from those in the control group(52%,29.1% and 1.4%,respectively)(P < 0.05).Conclusion:Intraoperative 125I seed implantation is safe and effective for advanced ESCC.Seed implantation may reduce the local recurrence rate and improve survival in patients with ESCC.The MPD of 60~70 Gy,with single 125I seed activity of 0.5 mCi,is reasonable.Jin Lü Xiufeng Cao Bin Zhu Lü Ji 2009Journal of Nanjing Medical University2009,23,5:1
5H_(2)O_(2) actuated molybdenum oxide nanodots:Multi-enzyme-like activities,leverage of Fenton reaction,and dual-mode sensitive detection of alendronate sodium显示文摘Unexpected benefits to the catalytic performance of materials often originate from the presence of surface defects.Here,novel Dpenicillamine modified molybdenum oxide nanodots,with abundant oxygen vacancy defects,were fabrication by a mild,simple,and cost-effective method.Ultraviolet–visible(UV–Vis)absorption spectra analysis showed that the nanodots had peroxidaselike and catalase-like activities.The reactive oxygen species were probed by electronic paramagnetic resonance technique and spectroscopic methods,demonstrating that the nanodots also had oxidase-like activity.Interestingly,the peroxidase-like activity of nanodots was synergistically enhanced in the presence of ferrous ions or ferric ions.Remarkably,less than nanomolar levels of ferrous ions were required to display this phenomenon,meaning Fenton reagent acted as leverage.Based on this,a sensitive colorimetric and fluorescent dual-mode sensor for alendronate sodium was developed.The linear ranges for colorimetric and fluorescence analysis were 0.2–2.5 and 0.2–2.0μM,with detection limits of 31.21 and 71.84 nM,correspondingly.The method has a simple large-scale material preparation process with higher sensitivity and shorter reaction time,which can inspire and enlighten the design of nanozyme sensors.Siqi Wang Yao Jin Wenhui Ai Xiufeng Wang Zhiqing Zhang Ting Zhou Guodong Zhang Fang Wang 2023Nano Research2023,16,10:1
6A nomogram predicting clinical pregnancy in the first fresh embryo transfer for women undergoing in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI) treatments显示文摘The extent to which factors affect the probability of clinical pregnancy in the first fresh embryo transfer after assisted conception is unknown.In order to examine the predictors of clinical pregnancy,a retrospective cohort study was launched between January 1,2013 and December 31,2016 in four infertility clinics including 19837 in vitro fertilization and intracytoplasmic sperm injection(IVF/ICSI)fresh cycles with known outcomes and relevant records.A multivariable logistic regression was used to select the most significant predictors in the final nomogram for predicting clinical pregnancy.Furthermore,the model was validated by an independent validation set and the performance of the model was evaluated by the receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curves along with the area under the ROC curve(AUC)and calibration plots.In a training set including 17854 participants,we identified that female age,tubal factor,number of embryos transferred,endometrial thickness and number of good-quality embryos were independent predictors for clinical pregnancy.We developed a nomogram using these five factors and the predictive ability was 0.66 for AUC(95%CI=0.64−0.68),which was independently validated in the validation set(AUC=0.66,95%CI=0.65−0.68).Our results show that some specific factors can be used to provide infertile couples with an accurate assessment of clinical pregnancy following assisted conception and facilitate to guide couples and clinicians.Fang Wu Feng Liu Yichun Guan Jiangbo Du Jichun Tan Hong Lv Qun Lu Shiyao Tao Lei Huang Kun Zhou Yankai Xia Xinru Wang Hongbing Shen Xiufeng Ling Feiyang Diao Zhibin Hu Guangfu Jin 2019The Journal of Biomedical Research2019,33,6:1

8Distribution Assessment and Source Identification Using Multivariate Statistical Analyses and Artificial Neutral Networks for Trace Elements in Agricultural Soils in Xinzhou of Shanxi Province, China显示文摘Multivariate statistical analyses were used to assess the contents and distributions of trace elements in agricultural soils in Xinzhou of Shanxi Province, China, and to identify their sources. Samples with high levels of trace elements were concentrated in eastern Xinzhou, with contents declining from the east to west. Principal component and redundancy analyses revealed strong correlations among Co, Cu, Mn, Ni, Se, V, and Zn contents, suggesting that these elements were derived from similar parent materials. There were also strong correlations between the contents of these elements and soil properties. Contents of Cd and Pb were significantly higher in the agricultural soil samples than in the background soil samples(P < 0.05), and were higher in areas with higher levels of gross domestic product but decreased with distance to the nearest road. Therefore, human activities appear to have a strong influence on the Cd and Pb distribution patterns. A novel artificial neural network(ANN) model, using environmental input data, was used to predict the soil Cd and Pb contents of specified test dates. The performances of the ANN model and a traditional multilinear model were compared. The ANN model could successfully predict Cd and Pb content distributions, projecting that soil Cd and Pb contents will increase by 128% and 25%, respectively, by 2020. 9A novel rate-2 full diversity algebraic space-time code显示文摘Orthogonal space-time block codes(OSTBCs)have attracted considerable attention due to their low complexity linear decoding and full diversity in Rayleigh fading channels.However,OSTBCs exist only for certain numbers of transmit antennas and do not provide full code rate when more than two transmit antennas are used.In this paper,a novel rate-2 algebraic space-time code that combines coordinate-interleaving and group precoding is proposed.By properly choosing the designed parameters,the coding scheme can achieve full diversity order and high coding gain.The receiver adopts polynomial complexity sphere decoding algorithm to get maximum likelihood(ML)performance.Analysis and simulations illustrate that the new code exhibits significant performance gain over the conventional OSTBCs and diagonal algebraic space-time code.Xiufeng JIN Guangguo BI 2009Frontiers of Electrical and Electronic Engineering in China2009,4,4:0
10Multi-mode Multi-frequency GNSS-IR Combination System for Sea Level Retrieval显示文摘With the development of Global Navigation Satellite Systems(GNSS),geodetic GNSS receivers have been utilized to monitor sea levels using GNSS-Interferometry Reflectometry(GNSS-IR)technology.The multi-mode,multi-frequency signals of GPS,GLONASS,Galileo,and Beidou can be used for GNSS-IR sea level retrieval,but combining these retrievals remains problematic.To address this issue,a GNSS-IR sea level retrieval combination system has been developed,which begins by analyzing error sources in GNSS-IR sea level retrieval and establishing and solving the GNSS-IR retrieval equation.This paper focuses on two key points:time window selection and equation stability.The stability of the retrieval combination equations is determined by the condition number of the coefficient matrix within the time window.The impact of ill-conditioned coefficient matrices on the retrieval results is demonstrated using an extreme case of SNR data with only ascending or descending trajectories.After determining the time window and removing ill-conditioned equations,the multi-mode,multi-frequency GNSS-IR retrieval is performed.Results from three International GNSS Service(IGS)stations show that the combination method produces high-precision,high-resolution,and high-reliability sea level retrieval combination sequences.Wenyue CHE Xiaolei WANG Xiufeng HE Jin LIU 2023Journal of Geodesy and Geoinformation Science2023,6,2:0
11Role of tannin pretreatment in flotation separation of magnesite and dolomite显示文摘Flotation separation of magnesite and its calcium-containing carbonate minerals is a difficult problem.Recently,new regulat-ors have been proposed for magnesite flotation decalcification,although traditional regulators such as tannin,water glass,sodium carbon-ate,and sodium hexametaphosphate are more widely used in industry.However,they are rarely used as the main regulators in research because they perform poorly in magnesite and dolomite single-mineral flotation tests.Inspired by the limonite presedimentation method and the addition of a regulator to magnesite slurry mixing,we used a tannin pretreatment method for separating magnesite and dolomite.Microflotation experiments confirmed that the tannin pretreatment method selectively and largely reduces the flotation recovery rate of dolomite without affecting the flotation recovery rate of magnesite.Moreover,the contact angles of the tannin-pretreated magnesite and dolomite increased and decreased,respectively,in the presence of NaOl.Zeta potential and Fourier transform infrared analyses showed that the tannin pretreatment method efficiently hinders NaOl adsorption on the dolomite surface but does not affect NaOl adsorption on the magnesite surface.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and density functional theory calculations confirmed that tannin interacts more strongly with dolomite than with magnesite.Xiufeng Gong Jin Yao Jun Guo Bin Yang Haoran Sun Wanzhong Yin Yulian Wang Yafeng Fu 2024International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2024,31,3:0
12A CODE DESIGN CRITERIA FOR NOT FULLY CONNECTED CHANNEL显示文摘There are parallel channels which are not fully connected in practice, such as Frequency Division Multiplex (FDM or Orthogonal FDM) systems. Conventional space-time codes can be used for such parallel channels but not the optimal. Based on the derivation of PEP expression for codes transmitted on parallel block fading channels, criteria of codes design for not fully connected channels are proposed and are compared with Tarokh's criteria for fully connected channel. New codes for such channels are provided by systematical and exhaustive search. 13Development and commercial application of Baosteel sintering flue gas recirculating process显示文摘Because of the low temperature,large waste gas volume,high pollutant content,and complicated compositions,waste heat recovery and emission gas treatment of sintering flue gas have always presented a challenge in the steel industry,and this issue has attracted widespread attention both locally and abroad. Recently,based on the first domestic pilot plant and demonstration project,Baosteel has performed a series of innovative research and development investigations on its sintering flue gas recirculating( SFGR) process,in which the system design and optimization,dioxin-related contaminant source suppression,ore matching structure optimization,wear-resistant design of cycling fans and pipelines,high-efficiency dust removal equipment,system control and stable operation strategy,flue gas mixing and switching control,circular hood sealing,oxygen content conditioning,recirculation sintering system process control,and model development have been studied,and a complete set of equipment and technology for the SFGR process has been initially developed. 14Cumulative live birth rates of in vitro fertilization/intracytoplasmic sperm injection after multiple complete cycles in China显示文摘There were few studies of cumulative live birth rates(CLBRs) based on multicenter reproductive clinical data from the general Chinese population.Here we report a retrospective cohort study,including 14 311 women with17 315 cycles,in three reproductive centers to evaluate two estimated parameters of CLBRs with multiple transfer cycles of in vitro fertilization(IVF)/intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI) in a Chinese population.We found that CLBRs were related to female age and endometrial thickness.By the fourth transfer cycle,the conservative and optimal estimates of CLBRs were 52.95% and 77.30% in women under 30 years of age,and 18.17% and26.51% in those 37 years of age or older,respectively.The two estimates were 44.70% and 63.15% in women with endometrial thickness more than 7 mm,and 32.05% and 46.18% in those with less than 7 mm,respectively.In addition,body mass index(BMI),duration of infertility,and infertility diagnoses may also be related to CLBRs on certain conditions.The findings from this study on CLBRs after multiple transfer cycles of IVF/ICSI treatment on different conditions in the Chinese population should be beneficial to both infertile couples and clinicians.Lei Huang Qun Lu Jiangbo Du Hong Lv Shiyao Tao Shiyao Chen Xiuzhu Li Xiumei Han Kun Zhou Bo Xu Xiaoyu Liu Hongxia Ma Yankai Xia Guangfu Jin Hongbing Shen Xiufeng Ling Zhibin Hu Jichun Tan Feiyang Diao 2020The Journal of Biomedical Research2020,34,5:0
