1Bushen Qiangjin capsule(补肾强筋胶囊) inhibits the Wnt/β-catenin pathway to ameliorate papain-induced knee osteoarthritis in rats显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To evaluate the molecular mechanism underlying the beneficial effect of Bushen Qiangjin capsule(补肾强筋胶囊,BSQJ),a Traditional Chinese Medicine,on knee osteoarthritis(KOA).METHODS:In the present study,32 female Sprague-Dawley rats were randomly divided into four groups:control,KOA,high-dose BSQJ(H-BSQJ),and low-dose BSQJ(L-BSQJ).After successfully establishing the KOA model by intra-articular injection of papain,H-BSQJ and L-BSQJ groups were intragastrically administered 0.243 and 0.122 g/kg BSQJ,respectively,daily for 6 weeks.At the end of the experiment,knee articular cartilage tissues of rats were collected for evaluation by hematoxylin and eosin staining,Safranin O-Fast Green staining,and terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated d UTP nick-end labeling assay.Serum interleukin-1βand tumor necrosis factor-αlevels of rats were detected with an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay method.Gene expression of Wnt-4,β-catenin,Frizzled-2,glycogen synthase kinase-3β(GSK-3β),cysteinyl aspartate-specific proteinases 3 and 9(caspases 3 and 9),collagen typeⅡalpha 1(Col2 a1),and matrix metalloproteinases 1 and 13(MMP-1 and MMP-3)of rat knee articular cartilage was quantified by reverse transcription-quantitative polymerase chain reaction analysis.Wnt-4,β-catenin,Frizzled-2,GSK-3β,cleaved caspase-3,and cleaved caspase-9 protein expression in rat knee articular cartilage was determined by western blot analysis.RESULTS:BSQJ obviously reduced pathological damage and matrix degradation of articular cartilage in KOA rats.Compared with the KOA group,H-BSQJ rats exhibited downregulated m RNA and protein expression of Wnt-4,β-catenin,Frizzled-2,and caspase-3,as well as upregulated m RNA and protein expression of GSK-3β.In addition,H-BSQJ significantly increased m RNA expression of Col2 a1 and decreased m RNA expression of MMP-1 and MMP-13.CONCLUSION:BSQJ exerted a beneficial effect on KOA by a mechanism involving downregulation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway,which inhibited both cartilage extracellular matrix degradation and chondrocyte apoptosis to ameliorate KOA in rats.YAO Nan CHEN Guocai LU Yanyan XU Xuemeng ZHAO Chuanxi HUANG Xuejun LIU Wengang PENG Sha WU Huai 2021Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2021,41,6:5
2Tungsten oxide thin films for highly sensitive triethylamine detection显示文摘Metal oxide semiconductor(MOS)thin films are promising sensing layer for integration in gas sensor devices for detecting toxic and harmful molecules.Herein,tungsten oxide(WO_(3))thin films are deposited on interdigital electrodes by vacuum thermal evaporation to realize batch fabrication of high-performance gas sensors.Subsequent annealing at different temperatures allows for regulation of the concentration of oxygen vacancies in the WO_(3) films,which has been found to exert a great influence on the sensor properties.In addition,the surface structure of WO_(3) films is also highly dependent on the annealing temperature.Gas sensing investigations show that the WO_(3) sensor annealed at 500℃ pos-sesses the best sensing properties for detecting triethylamine(TEA)including very high response,good selectivity,fast response,and low limit of detection(63 ppb).The excellent sensor performances are attributed to the enhanced adsorption of oxidative oxygen species due to the presence of abundant oxygen vacancies.The scalable fabrication of WO_(3) thin film gas sensors and the oxygen vacancy engi-neering strategy proposed herein may shed some light to developing high performance environmental sensors.Guanglu Lei Zishuo Li Guocai Lu Jinyuan Hu Haochuan Shang Xiaolei Zhang Xianghong Liu Jun Zhang Xiangxin Guo 2022Journal of Materiomics2022,8,2:1

6Effects of Straw and Biochar Returned to the Soil on Soil Physical Properties and pH Value in Cold Rice Region显示文摘[Objectives]In order to explore the feasibility of using straw and biochar returned to the soil to improve soil physical properties and pH value in cold rice regions of China.[Methods]the effects of straw directly returned to the soil and charred straw(biochar)returned to the soil on soil bulk density,porosity,temperature and pH value of cold paddy soil were studied in this paper.[Results]The results showed that compared with conventional production,straw(6 t/ha),a small amount of biochar(2 t/ha)and a large amount of biochar(40 t/ha)returned to the soil reduced paddy soil bulk density at different growth stages by 6.02%-11.86%,2.69%-6.67%and 8.58%-11.32%,respectively,increased total porosity by 7.41%-14.93%,3.19%-8.38%and 9.81%-14.27%,respectively,and increased aeration porosity by 22.28%-192.11%,17.80%-92.11%and 52.44%-157.11%,respectively.Straw and a small amount of biochar returned to the soil had no significant effect on soil temperature and pH value of paddy field,but a large amount of biochar returned to the soil could significantly increase soil temperature by 5.13%-8.79%and pH value by 3.15%-5.96%in the later stage of rice growth.[Conclusions]The straw and biochar returned to the soil could reduce soil bulk density,increase total porosity and aeration porosity,and only a large amount of biochar returned to the soil could significantly increase soil temperature and pH value.Yuefeng CUI Hongru SHI Aonan GUO Guocai SUN Guiyan WANG Jian WANG Wenjia HUANG Tiegang LU 2021Asian Agricultural Research2021,13,2:1

10The Differences of Physiological Characteristics and Yield of Northern Japonica Rice in Different Nitrogen Application Patterns显示文摘The research performed analysis on differences of physiological property and yield of Tiejing No. 11 by different nitrogen fertilization patterns. The results indicated that while the nitrogen of basal: tillering: panicle was 6 ∶3∶1, the higher amount of nitrogen improved the chlorophyll content, photosynthetic capacity, effective panicle, grain weight and yield; the medium nitrogen level had advantage under the ratio 4:3:3; nitrogen application at lategrowth stage was suitable for low or medium nitrogen level,which could increase photosynthetic capacity and optimize the yield components and increase yield; under the same ratio for basic tiller and ear fertilizer, the increase of nitrogen could improve total nitrogen uptake and protein content, decrease nitrogen physiological efficiency and milled rice and tasting, but nitrogen recovery and harvest index changes had difference; as application at late growth stage in same nitrogen rate, total nitrogen uptake and protein content increased, nitrogen physiological efficiency and milled rice and amylose content and tasting decreased, nitrogen recovery and harvest index increased under low or medium nitrogen level and decreased under high nitrogen level. 13Occurrence Dynamics of Agrotis ypsilon (Rottemberg) in Weifang显示文摘[Objective]The paper was to monitor the occurrence dynamics of Agrotis ypsilon in Weifang and to clarify its occurrence regularity.[Method]High-altitude trap lamp and ground trap lamp were used to trap insects respectively.The lamps were automatically turned on at 19:00 every day,and monitored for 12 h until 7:00 am.The species of insects trapped by lamps was recorded every day,and the number of each species was counted.[Result]The peak periods of A.ypsilon caught by high-altitude trap lamp were basically consistent with those caught by ground trap lamp,indicating that A.ypsilon was more likely to immigrate from local area of Weifang.[Conclusion]The study provides theoretical support for migration prediction and early warning of A.ypsilon in Weifang.Hongping Tian Guocai Lu Fujun Li 2021Plant Diseases and Pests2021,12,2:0
14STUDY ON THE SEPARATION OF PENTOSE AND HEXOSE FROM GLUCOSE YEAST WATER显示文摘D-ribose is a unique, 5-carbon sugar that occurs naturally in all living cells. D-ribose has been used as a staring material for preparation of some certain medicines or just as a new nutraceutical that helps the body naturally restore its energy level. The fermentative processes are the best for their relatively simple series of production steps and relatively cheap starting materials. However, because of the many impurities in glucose yeast water and its dark color, pretreatment and purification must be done to the fluid before D-ribose can be separated. In this paper, separation and purification of D-ribose was carried out using cation exchange resins, of which Ca2+ exchange resin had the best effect. The optimal condition for adsorption is a flow velocity of 0.5BV/h at adsorption temperature of 25℃. 17Effects of Nitrogen Fertilization on Growth and Development and Nitrogen Utilization of Japonica Super Rice显示文摘With the super japonica rice Shennong 265 as the tested material, the effects of different nitrogen application amounts and basic tiller fertilizer(BTF)-ear granule fertilizer(EGF) ratios on the yield and nitrogen utilization characteristics of Shennong265 were investigated. The results showed that when the BTF-EGF ratio was 8:2 or 7:3, the yield of Shennong 265 increased with the increased nitrogen application amount; when the BTF-EGF ratio was 6:4, medium nitrogen level was more conducive to improving the yield of Shennong 265; under the condition of same BTF-EGF ratio, with the increased nitrogen application amount, the total nitrogen uptake increased, and the nitrogen physiological efficiency and harvest index decreased. At low and medium nitrogen levels, the higher the proportion of EGF was, the higher the yield, total nitrogen uptake and nitrogen recovery ratio were; at high nitrogen level, the BTF-EGF ratio of 7:3 was more favorable; at the same nitrogen level, the higher the proportion of EGF was, the lower the nitrogen physiological efficiency and harvest index were. Under conditions of nitrogen application level of 255 kg/hm^2 and BTF-EGF ratio of 7:3, the dry matter accumulation in the leaves, stems and spikes of Shennong265 was higher in the late growth period.
