| 1 | Comparative investigation of three types of ethanol sensor based on NiO-SnO_2 composite nanofibers显示文摘NiO-SnO2 composite nanofibers were synthesized via electrospinning techniques and characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Three types of sensor were applied to investigate the sensing properties of these nanofibers.Sensors A were fabricated by mixing the nanofibers with deionized water,and then grinding and coating them on ceramic tubes to form indirect heated gas sensors.Microsensors B(with an area of 600 μm×200 μm) were formed by spinning nanofibers on Si substrates with Pt signal electrodes and Pt heaters.Sensors C were fabricated by spinning nanofibers on plane ceramic substrates(with a large area of 13.4 mm×7 mm) with Ag-Pd signal electrodes only.The operating temperatures of sensors A and B were controlled by adjusting heater currents,and the operating temperatures of sensors C were controlled by adjusting an external temperature control device.Experimental results show that sensors C possess the highest sensing properties,such as high response values(about 42 to 100 μL/L ethanol),quick response/recovery speeds(the response and recovery times were 4 and 7 s,respectively),and excellent consistencies.These phenomena were explained by the retained fiber morphology and suitable sensor area.The presented results can provide some useful information for the design and optimization of one-dimensional nanomaterial-based gas sensors. | SHEN RenSheng LI XiangPing XIA XiaoChuan LIANG HongWei WU GuoGuang LIU Yang CHENG ChuanHui DU GuoTong | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17: | 5 |
| 2 | A space power system of free piston Stirling generator based on potassium heat pipe显示文摘The power system of a free piston Stirling generator(FPSG)based on potassium heat pipes has been developed in this paper.Thanks to the advantages of long life,high reliability,and high overall thermal efficiency,the FPSG is a promising candidate for nuclear energy,especially in space exploration.In this paper,the recent progress of FPSG based on nuclear reactor for space use was briefly reviewed.A novel FPSG weighted only 4.2 kg was designed,and one dimensional thermodynamic modeling of the FPSG using Sage software was performed to estimate its performance.The experiment results indicated that this FPSG could provide 142.4 W at a thermal-to-electric efficiency of nearly 17.4%.Besides,the power system integrated with four FPSGs and potassium heat pipes was performed and the single machine failure test was conducted.The results show that this system could provide an electrical power of 300 W at an overall thermal efficiency of 7.3%.Thus,it is concluded that this power system is feasible and will have a great prospect for future applications. | Mingqiang LIN Jian MOU Chunyun CHI Guotong HONG Panhe GE Gu HU | 2020 | Frontiers in Energy2020,14,1: | 5 |

| 4 | Optimum design and preliminary experiments of a novel parallel end traction apparatus for upper-limb rehabilitation显示文摘Robot-assisted technology has been increasingly employed in the therapy of post stroke patients to deliver high-quality treatment and alleviate therapists5 burden.This paper introduces a novel parallel end traction apparatus(PETA)to supplement equipment selection.Considering the appearance and performance of the PETA,two types of special five-bar linkage mechanisms are selected as the potential configurations of the actuation execution unit because of their compact arrangement and parallel structure.Kinematic analysis of each mechanism,i.e.,position solutions and Jacobian matrix,is carried out.Subsequently,a comparative study between the two mechanisms is conducted.In the established source of nondimensional parameter synthesis,the singularity,maximum continuous workspace,and performance variation trends are analyzed.Based on the evaluation results,the final scheme with determined configuration and corresponding near-optimized non-dimensional parameters is obtained.Then,a prototype is constructed.By adding a lockable translational degree of freedom in the vertical direction,the PETA can provide 2D planar exercise and 3D spatial exercise.Finally,a control system is developed for passive exercise mode based on the derived inverse position solution,and preliminary experiments are performed to verify the applicability of the PETA. | Shiping ZUO Jianfeng LI Mingjie DONG Guotong LI Yu ZHOU | 2021 | Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2021,16,4: | 2 |
