1Comparative investigation of three types of ethanol sensor based on NiO-SnO_2 composite nanofibers显示文摘NiO-SnO2 composite nanofibers were synthesized via electrospinning techniques and characterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.Three types of sensor were applied to investigate the sensing properties of these nanofibers.Sensors A were fabricated by mixing the nanofibers with deionized water,and then grinding and coating them on ceramic tubes to form indirect heated gas sensors.Microsensors B(with an area of 600 μm×200 μm) were formed by spinning nanofibers on Si substrates with Pt signal electrodes and Pt heaters.Sensors C were fabricated by spinning nanofibers on plane ceramic substrates(with a large area of 13.4 mm×7 mm) with Ag-Pd signal electrodes only.The operating temperatures of sensors A and B were controlled by adjusting heater currents,and the operating temperatures of sensors C were controlled by adjusting an external temperature control device.Experimental results show that sensors C possess the highest sensing properties,such as high response values(about 42 to 100 μL/L ethanol),quick response/recovery speeds(the response and recovery times were 4 and 7 s,respectively),and excellent consistencies.These phenomena were explained by the retained fiber morphology and suitable sensor area.The presented results can provide some useful information for the design and optimization of one-dimensional nanomaterial-based gas sensors.SHEN RenSheng LI XiangPing XIA XiaoChuan LIANG HongWei WU GuoGuang LIU Yang CHENG ChuanHui DU GuoTong 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,17:5

3Optimum design and preliminary experiments of a novel parallel end traction apparatus for upper-limb rehabilitation显示文摘Robot-assisted technology has been increasingly employed in the therapy of post stroke patients to deliver high-quality treatment and alleviate therapists5 burden.This paper introduces a novel parallel end traction apparatus(PETA)to supplement equipment selection.Considering the appearance and performance of the PETA,two types of special five-bar linkage mechanisms are selected as the potential configurations of the actuation execution unit because of their compact arrangement and parallel structure.Kinematic analysis of each mechanism,i.e.,position solutions and Jacobian matrix,is carried out.Subsequently,a comparative study between the two mechanisms is conducted.In the established source of nondimensional parameter synthesis,the singularity,maximum continuous workspace,and performance variation trends are analyzed.Based on the evaluation results,the final scheme with determined configuration and corresponding near-optimized non-dimensional parameters is obtained.Then,a prototype is constructed.By adding a lockable translational degree of freedom in the vertical direction,the PETA can provide 2D planar exercise and 3D spatial exercise.Finally,a control system is developed for passive exercise mode based on the derived inverse position solution,and preliminary experiments are performed to verify the applicability of the PETA.Shiping ZUO Jianfeng LI Mingjie DONG Guotong LI Yu ZHOU 2021Frontiers of Mechanical Engineering2021,16,4:2
4Internal Tide Generation and Dissipation by Small Periodic Topography in Deep Ocean显示文摘Internal tides generated by a rough sea floor are an important source of mixing in the abyssal ocean. Two linear models are employed to evaluate the conversion rate from barotropic tides to internal tides and the energy distribution in each mode. Considering the periodicity of internal tides, the topography is represented by periodically distributed knife edges and sinusoidal ridges within one wavelength of mode-1 internal tides. The knife edges generate greater internal tides than the sinusoidal ridges due to their sharp shape, which approximates an extremely supercritical condition. Energy flux concentrates in modes whose numbers are multiples of the knife edge or ridge number. Then, a fully nonlinear model that integrates viscosity and diffusion is implemented, and its results are compared with those of the linear model. Internal wave rays generated in the nonlinear model show a distribution similar to the linear models’ prediction. 7Determination of Aroma Composition of Santalum album Linn by Solid-phase Microextraction-Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry显示文摘[Objectives]This study aimed to determine the volatile components in Santalum album Linn and gradually clarify the aroma composition of S.album Linn.[Methods]Solid-phase microextraction method was used to obtain the volatile components of S.album Linn.The aroma components were analyzed by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry and their relative contents were calculated using the area normalization method.[Results]In a dry state at room temperature,39 chemical components were identified from S.album Linn,mainly olefins(91.15%),alkanes(3.00%),alcohols(2.56%),esters(2.19%),ketones(0.55%),aldehydes(0.41%)and heterocyclics(0.14%).[Conclusions]This method has the advantages of low sample consumption,easy operation,rapid identification of aroma components and high sensitivity,and can effectively separate and determine volatile components in S.album Linn,realizing the rapid identification of different S.album Linn varieties and providing technical support for further research on Chinese medicinal materials.Guotong CHEN Meiqin LI Chao HUANG Na WEN Aixia WANG 2020Asian Agricultural Research2020,12,9:0
