3Discovering unusual structures from exception using big data and machine learning techniques显示文摘Recently, machine learning(ML) has become a widely used technique in materials science study. Most work focuses on predicting the rule and overall trend by building a machine learning model. However,new insights are often learnt from exceptions against the overall trend. In this work, we demonstrate that how unusual structures are discovered from exceptions when machine learning is used to get the relationship between atomic and electronic structures based on big data from high-throughput calculation database. For example, after training an ML model for the relationship between atomic and electronic structures of crystals, we find AgO2 F, an unusual structure with both Ag3+and O22à, from structures whose band gap deviates much from the prediction made by our model. 5Identify crystal structures by a new paradigm based on graph theory for building materials big data显示文摘Material identification technique is crucial to the development of structure chemistry and materials genome project. Current methods are promising candidates to identify structures effectively, but have limited ability to deal with all structures accurately and automatically in the big materials database because different material resources and various measurement errors lead to variation of bond length and bond angle. To address this issue, we propose a new paradigm based on graph theory(GTscheme) to improve the efficiency and accuracy of material identification, which focuses on processing the 'topological relationship' rather than the value of bond length and bond angle among different structures. 10Simulation of two-dimensional ISAR decoys on a moving platform显示文摘It is potentially useful to perform deception jamming using the digital image synthesizer(DIS) since it can form a two-dimensional(2D) decoy but suffers from multiple decoys generation. Inspired by the intermittent sampling repeater jamming(ISRJ), the generation of inverse synthetic aperture radar(ISAR)decoys is addressed, associated with the DIS and the ISRJ. Radar pulses are sampled intermittently and modulated by the scattering model of a false target by mounting the jammer on a moving platform, and then the jamming signals are retransmitted to the radar and a train of decoys are induced after ISAR imaging. 11Coil-to-Stretch Transition of Binder Chains Enabled by“Nano-Combs”to Facilitate Highly Stable SiO_(x) Anode显示文摘The commercialized binder carboxymethyl cellulose sodium(CMC-Na)is considered unsuitable for micro-sized SiO_(x) anode as it cannot endure the large volume change to retain the conductive network during repeated charge/discharge cycles.Herein,a small amount of silicon nanoparticles(SiNPs)is added during slurry preparation process as“nano-combs”to unfold the convoluted CMC-Na polymer chains so that they undergo a coilto-stretch transition by interaction between polar groups(e.g.,-OH,-COONa)of polymer and SiNPs’large surface.Through maximizing the utilization of binders,a uniform conductive network is constructed with increased interfacial contact with micro-sized SiO_(x).As a result,the SiO_(x) electrode with optimized(10 wt%)SiNPs addition shows significantly improved initial capacity and cycling performance.Through revisiting CMCNa,a currently deemed unqualified binder in SiO_(x) anode,this work gives a brand-new perspective on the failing mechanism of Si-based anode materials and an improving strategy for electrode preparation.Shida Xue Yanda Fu Zhibo Song Shiming Chen Yuchen Ji Yan Zhao Huizhi Wang Guoyu Qian Luyi Yang Feng Pan 2022Energy & Environmental Materials2022,5,4:0

14Magnesium-based energy materials: Progress, challenges, and perspectives显示文摘Magnesium-based energy materials, which combine promising energy-related functional properties with low cost, environmental compatibility and high availability, have been regarded as fascinating candidates for sustainable energy conversion and storage. In this review,we provide a timely summary on the recent progress in three types of important Mg-based energy materials, based on the fundamental strategies of composition and structure engineering. With regard to Mg-based materials for batteries, we systematically review and analyze different material systems, structure regulation strategies as well as the relevant performance in Mg-ion batteries(MIBs) and Mg-air batteries(MABs), covering cathodes, electrolytes, anodes for MIBs, and anodes for MABs;as to Mg-based hydrogen storage materials, we discuss how catalyst adding, composite, alloying and nanostructuring improve the kinetic and thermodynamic properties of de/hydrogenation reactions, and in particular, the impacts of composition and structure modification on hydrogen absorption/dissociation processes and free energy modification mechanism are focused;regarding Mg-based thermoelectric materials, the relations between composition/structure and electrical/thermal transport properties of Mg_(3)X_(2)(X = Sb, Bi), Mg_(2)X(X = Si, Ge, Sn) and Mg Ag Sb-based materials, together with the representative research progress of each material system, are summarized and discussed.
