| 1 | Analysis of Aroma Volatile Compounds in Fuji Apple Using SPME with Different Fiber Coatings显示文摘The aroma volatile compounds in Fuji apple were isolated by solid-phase microextraction( SPME),and detected by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry( GC-MS). The results showed that the optimal retention time of the heating up of capillary columns was 5 min. Of the seven fibers used in this work,DVB/CAR/PDMS was found to be the most suitable to extract the aroma volatile compounds in Fuji apple. A total number of 43 volatile compounds were identified according to their retention time on capillary columns and their mass spectra,including eleven esters,ten alcohols,ten aldehydes,seven alkenes,two anhydrides,one ketone,one phenol and one ether. | 2 | Application of artificial intelligence in tongue diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine:A review显示文摘Tongue diagnosis is an important process to non-invasively assess the condition of a patient’s internal organs in traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)and each part of the tongue is related to corresponding internal organs.Due to continuing computer technological advances,especially the artificial intelligence(AI)methods have achieved significant success in tackling tongue image acquisition,processing,and classification,novel AI methods are being introduced in traditional Chinese medicine tongue diagnosis medical practices.Traditional tongue diagnose depends on observations of tongue characteristics,such as color,shape,texture,moisture,etc.by traditional Chinese medicine physicians.The appearance of the tongue color,texture and coating reflects the improvement or deterioration of patient’s conditions.Moreover,AI can now distinguish patient’s condition through tongue images,texture or coating,which is all possible increasingly with help from traditional Chinese medicine physicians under the traditional Chinese medicine tongue theory.AI has enabled humans to do what was previously unimagined:traditional Chinese medicine tongue diagnosis with feeding a large amount of tongue image and tongue texture/coating data to train the AI modes.This review focuses on the research advances of AI in TCM tongue diagnosis thus far to identify the major scientific methods and prospects.In this article,we tried to review the AI application in resolving the tongue diagnosis of traditional Chinese medicine on color correction,tongue image extraction,tongue texture/coating segmentation. | Zhao Chen Xiaoyu Zhang Ruijin Qiu Yang Sun Rui Zheng Haie Pan Yin Jiang Changming Zhong Chen Zhao Guihua Tian Hongcai Shang | 2021 | TMR Modern Herbal Medicine2021,4,2: | 2 |

| 7 | Integrative transcriptomic and metabolomic analyses reveal the flavonoid biosynthesis of Pyrus hopeiensis flowers under cold stress显示文摘Low temperature is among the most restrictive factors to limit the yield and distribution of pear. Pyrus hopeiensis is a valuable wild resource.PCA showed that P. hopeiensis had strong cold resistance. In this study, the mRNA and metabolome sequencing of P. hopeiensis flower organs exposed to different low temperatures were performed to identify changes of genes and metabolites in response to low-temperature stress. A total of 4 851 differentially expressed genes(DEGs) were identified. Trend analysis showed that these DEGs were significantly enriched in profiles 19, 18, 7, 14, 1, 4 and 11. And the KEGG enrichment analysis showed that the DEGs in profile 18 were significantly enriched in flavone and flavonol biosynthesis. Besides, the expressed trends as well as GO and KEGG functional enrichment analyses of DEGs under cold and freezing stress showed significantly difference. Analyses of flavonoid-related pathways indicated that flavonoid structural genes had undergone significant changes. Correlation analysis showed that b HLH and MYB TFs may affect flavonoid biosynthesis by regulating structural gene expression. And PhMYB308 and PhMYB330 were likely candidate repressors of flavonoid biosynthesis by binding to a specific site in bHLH proteins. In total, 92 differentially accumulated metabolites(DAMs) were identified in P. hopeiensis flowers including 12 flavonoids. WGCNA results showed that coral 1, pink and brown 4 modules were closely associated with flavonoids and 11 MYBs and 15 bHLHs among the three modules may activate or inhibit the expression of 23 structural genes of flavonoid biosynthesis.
