1Optic and catalytic properties of gold nanoparticles tuned by homopolymers显示文摘Gold nanoparticles (GNs) are prepared through in situ reduction using NaBH4 in the presence of homopolymer PDMAEMA. The sizes of the GNs can be adjusted by alternating the molar ratio of gold to DMAEMA. Pure PDMAEMA aqueous solution shows a phase-transition at 50℃ at pH 10 and 25℃ at pH 14, while PDMAEMA-supported GNs aqueous solution shows a phase-transition at 47℃ at pH 10 because of the increasing hydrophobic property resulting from GNs. Due to the pH and tempera-ture-responsible characteristics of PDMAEMA, the resulting PDMAEMA-supported GNs exhibit pH adjustable temperature-responsive characteristics in optic and catalytic aspects. Under an acidic condi-tion (pH 2), the GNs show unchanged surface Plasmon absorbance with a peak of 518 nm in a tem-perature range from 20 to 65℃. Under a basic condition (pH 10), the GNs first show the same absorb-ance with a peak at 518 nm in a temperature range from 20 to 40℃, and then the absorbance red shifts from 518 to 545 nm as temperature increases from 40 to 65℃. 2Hopkinson Effect in Soft Magnetic Materials显示文摘The μi-T curves of the alloy Fe73.5 Cu1 Nb3 Si13.5 B9 in the amorphous state and in the nanocrystalline state have been investigated. For comparison, μi-T curves of the other two kinds of typical soft magnetic alloys also have been measured. It was found that a sharp Hopkinson peak appeared at the Curie point for each amorphous and crystalline alloy but there was no Hopkinson peak for the nanocrystalline alloy at the Curie point of the residual amorphous phase. 6Structure and Magnetic Properties of Fe_(76.5)Si_(13.5)B_9Cu_1 Alloy with Nanoscale Grain Size显示文摘The structure and magnetic properties of Fe76.5Si13.5B9Cu1 alloys with a nanocrystalline (NC) bcc Fe(Si) phase trom about 23 to 46 nm in diameter, which were first formed into amorphous ribbons and then annealed at various temperatures between 703 and 773 K, have been investigated. At annealing temperatures from 703 to 748 K, the single NC bcc(Si) phase is obtained in the crystallized alloys. The grain size and the Si-content in the NC bcc Fe(Si) phase for the alloys annealed at different temperatures are presented. The soft magnetic properties and the saturation magnetostriction for the alloys with the NC bcc Fe(Si) phase are also measured. 8Differential SW16.1 allelic effects and genetic backgrounds contributed to increased seed weight after soybean domestication显示文摘Although seed weight has increased following domestication from wild soybean(Glycine soja) to cultivated soybean(Glycine max), the genetic basis underlying this change is unclear. Using mapping populations derived from chromosome segment substitution lines of wild soybean, we identified SW16.1 as the causative gene underlying a major quantitative trait locus controlling seed weight.SW16.1 encodes a nucleus-localized LIM domaincontaining protein. Importantly, the GsSW16.1 allele from wild soybean accession N24852 had a negative effect on seed weight, whereas the GmSW16.1 allele from cultivar NN1138-2 had a positive effect. Gene expression network analysis,reverse-transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction, and promoter-luciferase reporter transient expression assays suggested that SW16.1 regulates the transcription of MT4, a positive regulator of seed weight. The natural variations in SW16.1 and other known seed weight genes were analyzed in soybean germplasm. The SW16.1 polymorphism was associated with seed weight in 247 soybean accessions, showing much higher frequency of positive-effect alleles in cultivated soybean than in wild soybean. Interestingly,gene allele matrix analysis of the known seed weight genes revealed that G. max has lost 38.5%of the G. soja alleles and that most of the lost alleles had negative effects on seed weight. 12Fabrication of a bio-instructive scaffold conferred with a favorable microenvironment allowing for superior implant osseointegration and accelerated in situ vascularized bone regeneration via type H vessel formation显示文摘The potential translation of bio-inert polymer scaffolds as bone substitutes is limited by the lack of neovascularization upon implantation and subsequently diminished ingrowth of host bone,most likely resulted from the inability to replicate appropriate endogenous crosstalk between cells.Human umbilical vein endothelial cell-derived decellularized extracellular matrix(HdECM),which contains a collection of angiocrine biomolecules,has recently been demonstrated to mediate endothelial cells(ECs)-osteoprogenitors(OPs)crosstalk.We employed the HdECM to create a PCL(polycaprolactone)/fibrin/HdECM(PFE)hybrid scaffold.We hypothesized PFE scaffold could reconstitute a bio-instructive microenvironment that reintroduces the crosstalk,resulting in vascularized bone regeneration.Following implantation in a rat femoral bone defect,the PFE scaffold demonstrated early vascular infiltration and enhanced bone regeneration by microangiography(μ-AG)and micro-computational tomography(μ-CT).Based on the immunofluorescence studies,PFE mediated the endogenous angiogenesis and osteogenesis with a substantial number of type H vessels and osteoprogenitors.In addition,superior osseointegration was observed by a direct host bone-PCL interface,which was likely attributed to the formation of type H vessels.The bio-instructive microenvironment created by our innovative PFE scaffold made possible superior osseointegration and type H vessel-related bone regeneration.It could become an alternative solution of improving the osseointegration of bone substitutes with the help of induced type H vessels,which could compensate for the inherent biological inertness of synthetic polymers.Yijun He Wenhao Wang Shaozhang Lin Yixi Yang Lizhi Song Yihan Jing Lihao Chen Zaopeng He Wei Li Ao Xiong Kelvin W.K.Yeung Qi Zhao Yuan Jiang Zijie Li Guoxian Pei Zhi-Yong Zhang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,3:1

18Efficient degradation of atrazine through in-situ anchoring NiCo_(2)O_(4) nanosheets on biochar to activate sulfite under neutral condition显示文摘Sulfite (S(IV)) is a promising substitute for sulfate radical-based advanced oxidation processes.Here,a composite of in-situ anchoring Ni Co_(2)O_(4)nanosheets on biochar (BC) was firstly employed as a heterogeneous activator for sulfite (Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite) to degrade atrazine (ATZ) in the neutral environment.The synergistic coupling of BC and Ni Co_(2)O_(4)endows the resulting composite excellent catalytic activity.82% of the degradation ratio of ATZ (1 mg/L) could be achieved within 10 min at initial concentrations of 0.6 g/L Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC,3.0 mmol/L sulfite in neutral environment.When further supplementing sulfite into the system at 20 min (considering the depletion of sulfite),outstanding degradation efficiency (100%) were achieved in the next 10 min without any other energy input by the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC-sulfite system.The features of the prepared catalysts and the effects of some key parameters on ATZ degradation were systematically examined.A strong inner-sphere complexation (≡Co_(2)+/Ni^(2+)-SO_(3)^(2-)) was explored between sulfite and the metal sites on the Ni Co_(2)O_(4)@BC surface.The redox cycle of the surface metal efficiently mediated sulfite activation and triggered the series radical chain reactions.The generated radicals,in particular the surface-bound radicals were involved in ATZ degradation.High performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS) technique was used to detect the degradation intermediates.Density functional theory (DFT) calculations were performed to illustrate the possible degradation pathways of ATZ.Finally,an underlying mechanism for ATZ removal was proposed.The present study offered a low-cost and sustainable catalyst for sulfite activation to remove ATZ in an environmentally friendly manner from wastewater.Lizhen Feng Yijin Yuan Xianqin He Mengsi Wu Lizhi Zhang Jingming Gong 2023Journal of Environmental Sciences2023,,4:1
