| 1 | Two-dimensional self-organization of 1-nonanethiol-capped gold nanoparticles显示文摘A two-dimensional (2D) ordered hexagonal close-packed structure, formed by 1-nonanethiol-capped gold nanoparticles, is reported. The structure was constructed only by dipping the gold nanoparticle colloidal solution on flat substrate. The gold nanoparticles were synthesized as follows: First, AuCl4-1 was transferred from aqueous solution to toluene by the phase-transfer reagent of tetraoc-tylanunonium bromide. Then it was reduced with aqueous sodium borohydride in the presence of a given amount of 1-nonanethiol molecules which was used to control the nu-cleation and growth of the gold nanoparticles for the desired size. The experimental techniques, such as UV-Vis, FT-IR, and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), were employed to characterize the obtained product. | 2 | Preparation and characterization of doxorubicin functionalized tiopronin-capped gold nanorods for cancer therapy显示文摘Gold nanomaterials are immerging candidates in medical diagnosis and treatment.Among them,gold nanorods(Au NRs)are widely used for cancer treatment.Tiopronin as a novel thiol drug was used to stabilize Au NRs in this work.Doxorubicin(DOX),a chemotherapeutic drug which works by interacting with DNA to arrest the cell cycle and induce apoptosis,was linked to Au NRs through electrostatic reaction with tiopronin,to obtain Au-TIOP-DOX NRs.Au NRs are also regarded as hyperthermia agents for photothermal cancer treatment.This delivery system(Au-TIOP-DOX NRs)was designed for passively targeting tumor cells in cancer therapy.More importantly,the carboxyl groups of tiopronin can be modified with some biological molecules(DNA/RNA,peptides,or drugs)to make Au NRs as a novel drug-delivery system for cancer treatment. | HUO ShuaiDong JIN ShuBin ZHENG KaiYuan HE ShengTai WANG DongLiang LIANG XingJie | 2013 | Chinese Science Bulletin2013，58，33： | 1 |
