Nanotechnology-based strategies for treatment of ocular disease显示文摘Ocular diseases include various anterior and posterior segment diseases. Due to the unique anatomy and physiology of the eye, efficient ocular drug delivery is a great challenge to researchers and pharmacologists. Although there are conventional noninvasive and invasive treatments, such as eye drops, injections and implants, the current treatments either suffer from low bioavailability or severe adverse ocular effects. Alternatively, the emerging nanoscience and nanotechnology are playing an important role in the development of novel strategies for ocular disease therapy. Various active molecules have been designed to associate with nanocarriers to overcome ocular barriers and intimately interact with specific ocular tissues. In this review, we highlight the recent attempts of nanotechnology-based systems for imaging and treating ocular diseases, such as corneal d iseases, glaucoma, retina diseases, and choroid diseases. Although additional work remains, the progress described herein may pave the way to new, highly effective and important ocular nanomedicines.Yuhua Weng Juan Liu Shubin Jin Weisheng Guo Xingjie Liang Zhongbo Hu 2017Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2017,7,3:6

The geometric simulation and analysis of the blind growth fold in the overthrust belt of the southern section of the frontier Longmen Mt.during Late Triassic显示文摘The seismic profiles processed by high-resolution display that a blind growth fault-bend fold emerges in depth of seismic exploration area in Dayi in the southern section of the frontier Longmen Mt.This paper presents a detailed structural interpretation to seismic section, then describes the deformed geometry related to the pre-growth strata, the growth strata and the post-growth strata on both limbs of the fold. The computer geometric simulation, based on the model of fault-bend fold,is utilized to stimulate the geometry of the blind growth fold at different sedimentation rates in Dayi. These structural features are subsequently extracted and compared with the actual seismic reflection section. Our research suggests that a low angle overthrust formed during Late Triassic also appears in the southern section of the frontier Longmen Mt.The event of structure took place at the depositional stage of a portion of the middle and upper fourth member of Xujiahe Formation(T3x4),which corresponds to thrusting in the northern section of the frontier Longmen Mt.However, the thrusting displacement here is smaller than one of the northern section.CHEN Wei YANG KeMing LI ShuBin JIAN GaoMing TANG Jin ZHAO Yiao SU Qian 2009Chinese Science Bulletin2009,54,8:3
Boron-doping induced lithophilic transition of graphene for dendrite-free lithium growth显示文摘Li metal, possessing advantages of high theoretical specific capacity and low electrochemical potential,is regarded as the most promising anode material for next-generation batteries. However, despite decades of intensive research, its practical application is still hindered by safety hazard and low Coulombic efficiency, which is primarily caused by dendritic Li deposition. To address this issue, restraining dendrite growth at the nucleation stage is deemed as the most effective method.By utilizing the difference of electronegativity between boron atoms and carbon atoms, carbon atoms around boron atoms in boron-doped graphene(BG)turn into lithiophilic sites, which can enhance the adsorption capacity to Li^(+)at the nucleation stage.Consequently,an ultralow overpotential of 10 mV at a current density of 0.5 mA/cm^(2) and a high average Coulombic efficiency of 98.54%over more than 140 cycles with an areal capacity of 2 mAh/cm^(2) at a current density of 1 m A/cm^(2) were achieved.BG-Li|LiFePO_(4) full cells delivered a long lifespan of480 cycles at 0.5 C and excellent rate capability. This work provides a novel method for rational design of dendrite-free Li metal batteries by regulating nucleation process.Wei Liu Pengbo Zhai Shengjian Qin Jing Xiao Yi Wei Weiwei Yang Shiqiang Cui Qian Chen Chunqiao Jin Shubin Yang Yongji Gong 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:2

However, we still know a little about the basic problem of what really mattersin fabrication of Au nanomaterials which can get into biological systems, especially cells, with highefficiency. An understanding of how the physicochemical properties of Au nanomaterials affecttheir cell internalization is of significant interest. Studies devoted to clarify the functions of variousproperties of Au nanostructures such as size, shape and kinds of surface characteristics in cell internalizationare under way. These fundamental investigations will give us a foundation for constructingAu nanomaterial-based biomedical devices in the future. In this review, we present the current advancesand rationales in study of the relationship between the physicochemical properties of Aunanomaterials and cell uptake. 7Near-infrared fluorescent aptamer-templated silver nanoclusters facilely synthesized for cellular imaging applications显示文摘Fluorescent metal nanoclusters(NCs)have received extensive attention for their potential uses in bionanotechnology. Here,we develop a facile strategy to synthesize near-infrared fluorescent silver nanoclusters(Ag NCs)stabilized by MUC1 aptamer. The MUC1-Ag NCs are characterized by UV–Vis absorption spectroscopy, fluorescence spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and fluorescence lifetime. These results indicated that the MUC1-Ag NCs possess bright near-infrared luminescence, high stability, and excellent biocompatibility. The cellular imaging of MUC1-Ag NCs by confocal laser microscopy demonstrated them to be promising candidates as novel fluorescent probes for biomedical application.Shengliang Li Weipeng Cao Shubin Jin Chunqiu Zhang Juan Liu Guozhang Zou Feng Li Xing-Jie Liang 2014Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,16:1
Preparation and characterization of doxorubicin functionalized tiopronin-capped gold nanorods for cancer therapy显示文摘Gold nanomaterials are immerging candidates in medical diagnosis and treatment.Among them, gold nanorods(Au NRs)are widely used for cancer treatment.Tiopronin as a novel thiol drug was used to stabilize Au NRs in this work.Doxorubicin(DOX),a chemotherapeutic drug which works by interacting with DNA to arrest the cell cycle and induce apoptosis, was linked to Au NRs through electrostatic reaction with tiopronin,to obtain Au-TIOP-DOX NRs.Au NRs are also regarded as hyperthermia agents for photothermal cancer treatment. This delivery system(Au-TIOP-DOX NRs)was designed for passively targeting tumor cells in cancer therapy.More importantly, the carboxyl groups of tiopronin can be modified with some biological molecules(DNA/RNA,peptides,or drugs)to make Au NRs as a novel drug-delivery system for cancer treatment.HUO ShuaiDong JIN ShuBin ZHENG KaiYuan HE ShengTai WANG DongLiang LIANG XingJie 2013Chinese Science Bulletin2013,58,33:1

Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment.Angel Abusleme Thomas Adam Shakeel Ahmad Sebastiano Aiello Muhammad Akram Nawab Ali Fengpeng An Guangpeng An Qi An Giuseppe Andronico Nikolay Anfimov Vito Antonelli Tatiana Antoshkina Burin
