The seeds were sown in four batches with two weeks interval between batches, using IR50 and IR72 as spread rows and susceptible controls. For moist leaf, spraying water was proceeded every two hours from 8:30 am in sunny days. Blast disease was scored and pathogen was isolated every two weeks.
