1Kinetics of Oxidation for β-Sialon in Diphase β-Sialon/Al_2O_3 Composite显示文摘Non-isothermal kinetic research has been carried out on oxidation behavior of β-Sialon in diphaseβ-Sialon/Al2O3 composite at high temperatures. A kinetic formula is established for non-isothermal oxidation process of β-Sialon. The rate of oxidation process is controlled by chemicalreaction at the initial stage and then by diffusion. 2Slag-Resistance of MgAlON Spinel显示文摘The slag-resistance and microstructural changes after the slag tests of MgAlON spinel containing different amount of nitrogenwere studied by means of crucible slag-resistant experiment, SEM and EDS in the work. The results show that the slag-resistance ofMgAlON is dependent on the nitrogen content, and the optimum amount is 2.88%. The strUcture is not changed although the grains havebeen permeated by some silicon, calcium and iron. 7Preparation and characterization of calcium aluminate by chemical synthesis显示文摘Saturated Ca(OH)_2 and AlCl_3 solutions were used to synthesize calcium aluminate hydrate precipitates at room temperature; high purity calcium aluminate powders with stable phases were made by calcination of the precursors at a temperature as low as 1100℃. PSD and BET analysis revealed the particles with sizes ranging from submicrometer to several micrometers and with a specific area of 13 nr/g. The measurement of hydraulic exotherm revealed that the exothermal rate is in peak for about 2 h. The exothermal quantities are 449.24 J/g at 12 h and 488.38 J/g at 24 h. 10Sintering Behavior and Microstructure of diphasic β-Sialon /Al_2O_3 Composites显示文摘Six compositions with different ratio of β-Sialon/Al2O3 were synthesized from Al2O3, Si3,N4 and SiO2 by sintering with 3%Y2O3(mass fraction) as addition under the cover with powders of SiC+C and at nitrogen atmosphere. Theeffects of atmosphere, sintering temperature and composition on the sintering behavior were studied. The results showedthat the composites reached the best sintering behavior with the highest density about 92% at 1 650℃ under the weakreduction atmosphere. 11Synthesis and Properties of Laβ-Al_2O_3显示文摘Laβ-Al2O3 solid electrolytes were synthesized directly and their conductivities were measured in terms of ac impedance spectroscopy.The magnitude of conductivities is 10-6 to 10-2 S·cm-1.Based on these data, the dependence of the conductivity of Laβ-Al2O3 upon the temperature and the dopant concentration in the electrolytes was studied, and the activation energy for conduction was calculated, which is 0.89 eV to 1.02 eV from 450℃ to 1000℃. 13Thermodynamic Properties of Non-Oxide Composite Refractories显示文摘For initiative application of non-oxides in refractories, it is essential to study thermodynamic properties of non-oxides. The stability and stable order of non-oxides under oxidized atmosphere are analyzed firstly and then a new process, “converse reaction sintering”, is proposed. The results of study on oxidation mechanism of silicon and aluminum nitrides indicate that the gaseous suboxides can be produced observably when the oxygen partial pressure is lower than “conversion oxygen partial pressure”. The suboxides can be deposited near the surface of composite to become a compact layer. This causes the material possessing a performance of “self-impedient oxidation”. Metal Si and Al are the better additives for increasing the density and width of compact layer and increasing the ability of anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion. The study on Si_ 3N_ 4-Al_ 2O_ 3, Si_ 3N_ 4-MgO, Si_ 3N_ 4-SiC systems is also enumerated as examples in the paper. 15Effect of Chromium Powder on Sintering Property of Chrome Oxide Materials显示文摘The specimens were prepared using Cr2O3 micropowder, TiO2 micropowder and chromium powder as starting materials, PVA as binder, after spraying granulation and cold isostatic pressing, firing at 1 450 ℃ for 3 h in standard nitrogen and oxygen control atmosphere (oxygen partial pressure was 1 010 Pa and 10.1 Pa, respectively). Effects of chromium powder (mass percent were 0, 0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5% and 2.0%, respectively) on sintering behaviors of Cr2O3 materials were researched. The results show that: adding 0.5% chromium powder can obviously decrease the oxygen partial pressure in the specimens. Meanwhile, because the expansion caused by the oxidation reaction is small, Cr2O3 materials could realize the densification sintering under 1 010 Pa and 10.1 Pa of oxygen partial pressure. 18Electrochemical determination of Gibbs free energy of formation of magnesium ferrite显示文摘The standard Gibbs free energy of formation of magnesium ferrite was determined by means of two types of solid state electrochemical cells: one using MgZr4(PO4)6 (MZP) as the solid electrolyte and the other using CaF2 as the solid electrolyte. The first cell was operated in the range of 950 to 1100 K. The second cell was operated in the range of 1125 to 1200 K. The reversibility of the cell EMFs was confirmed by microcoulometric titration. The Gibbs energy changes of magnesium ferrite relative to component oxides were calculated based on EMF measurements and are given by following expressions, respectively: △G I = -3579-15 T (J/mol) and △G II =6258-24.3 T (J/mol). The results obtained from two different cells are consistent with each other. The results also are in agreement with Rao’s and Tretjakov’s data in the measured temperature range. 19Effect of Si_3N_4 on Resistance of Magnesia Based Castable显示文摘The magnesia based curable specimens with different Si3N4 contents were casted using sintered magnesite (w(MgO)=95%) as starting material, SiO2 micro-powder as binder, 0.3%, 4% and 5% β-Si3N4 powder replacing the equal addition of magnesia powder respectively. The slag resistance test was carried out at 1550℃ for 3h using Baosteel tundish slag and static crucible method. The result indicates that: introducing Si3N4 could obviously improve the slag resistance of MgO based castable, which increased with increasing Si3N4. Dense SiO2 sintered layer formed on the surface of magnesia based castable because of the oxidation of Si3N4 addition, which can prevent the further slag penetration. In the deep inner of castable, the partial-pressure of oxygen was very low, so Si3N4 can exist stably. 20A Novel Electrochemical Oxygen Sensor for Determination of Ultra-low Oxygen Contents in Molten Metal显示文摘A novel electrochemical oxygen sensor has been developed by using Laβ-Al2O3 as solid electrolyte and Cr+Cr2O3 as reference electrode. The sensor not only can be used as normal oxygen sensor hot also as an ultra-low oxygen sensor. Especially, it is very sensitive to measure ultra-low oxygen in molten metal. For estimating the accuracy of Laβ-Al2O3 oxygen sensor, two series of oxygen activities in molten iron at different oxygen contents and different temperature were measured by both Laβ-Al2O3 oxygen sensor and ZrO2 oxygen sensor. The theoretical values of oxygen activities in molten iron (3.30%C, in mass fraction) at 1723K and 1745K were also evaluated for comparing the measuring results of two sensors.
